I know there are those who question the idea that it was harder to be a woman in the past than to be a man, but it seems obvious to me that it's accurate in several important ways. In my country (UK) women couldn't vote until the 20th century! I think the entire first wave of feminism was absolutely vital. The movements you highlight - LGBTQ, feminism, and BLM - all have had very different levels of scale and influence. Furthermore, the origins of women's rights, gay rights, and black rights are all rooted in centuries old prejudice, discrimination, and even persecution. I don't think the current injustices of anti-male bias can even begin to compare. It's such an easy little exercise of the imagination that everyone should be able to manage. But most of the time people seem to have no idea where I'm coming from.
