Correct. One thing is treating someone like a sexual object , another is to treat them as a sexual subject.

Yes, I would... eventually. I would be very picky about it and would only do it after getting to have sex with a few very attractive women.

Also, both desireble men and good men are scarce. Men who are both are scarcer. But what ends forming the shitty situation for everyone except the assholes is: is easier for an asshok to pretend to be good temporarily than for a good undesirable men to pretend to be desirable

I mean, everyone I think is mindfull not to cry in public. Even my sister was ashamed that it happened to her. I don't care much about people that think less of me just because they saw me cry. Crying is not necrssaeilu weakness, some people interpret it as such. The only instance it's a weakness (that I can think of) is if someone is trying to intimidate you and you cry. Context matters. I say this as a person who rarely cried throughout all my life until very recently.

I seem I'm not familiar with either dating culture. I though Koreans where repressed like japanese but maybe not. I suppose that in the us it will vary from state to state and also between conservative leaning and liberal leaning. Is my guess. Either way I prefer to filter out people that I have to be fake around.

That is understandable. We have been trained to feel shame for showing emotions like that. But that must have been cathartic.

This might happen and even happen a lot. But I can think of other, non predatory motives. For example: -short guy going to a country where average height is lower than his country -going to countries where your style, appearance or personality is better likes -going for countries where you are more likely to find your type (physical and/or personality).

That would happen with overspecialization yes. Not with a mix of specialization and a wider general improvement. I have no business trying to appeal to women that are too normal for example. For me it is either nerdy women, artsy women, smart women or very curious women. The range is wide but not too wide.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 02:09 PM

I get that. I do stay sometimes because I have met some women worth being friends with but not before I quickly push her to either reject me or reciprocate my interest and once I get anything remotely close to a rejection I stop courtship. Guys often assume she is playing hard to get or that if they try harder she might want them but that is a bad bet. Even in the rare case she is playing hard to get that is her problem, I don't like those convoluted games.

It confuses me. It should be as simple as: You want to be friends? Stay. You don't want to be friends? Don't stay.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/24 02:20 AM

I think the best is a mix. Specialization is better than trying to be a generalist unless you are super attractive, but overspecialization is not good

I just saw the question and answered. Also the example was just an example. I haven't been rejected for money issues. At least not that I am aware. I was bored and answering the question was mildly entertaining. I enjoy helping people figure the logic of something like this. It's what this subreddit is about: exchanging opinions and arguments (look at the name of the subreddit). That is it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/24 07:15 PM

Yes, it is a rejection, but is also an ethics/value judgment. Is different from "you are not my type". And if you make that judgment for men without money but not for women without money then it is in fact the definition of double standard. That is all I am saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/24 07:02 PM

Huh? When did I say I base my opinion of myself on rejection ? I do not. I am just answering the question of the post. I didn't express any emotion in my comment.

Whether what you touch is dick or vagina is irrelevant. A straight woman that touched 50 dicks is as promiscuous as a lesbian that touches 50 vaginas
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/24 02:23 PM
4

We are not mere animals. We are not slaves to our biologies. Besides, what you are saying is that promiscuous women should be shamed more because they are rarer than promiscuous men. I will never base my ethics or judgment on how rare a behaviour is among a group or on biology. Instead if a group is more likely to engage in certain negative traits then that is a flaw on that group. Men are more likely to murder a woman out of jealousy , will I excuse that behaviour based on "oh is biology"? Nah.…

Ah ok, if it's just something you dont find attractive then I think is ok. I for example am a short guy who want to be with a woman I find physically attractive. Some people are like "but you are not attractive!" I am like... yeah is ok, we don't really have to bring the exact positive qualities to the table. High standards are not bad, they just reduce your options and make dating harder, but it is you who determine how important something is to you and how much effort you are willing to put ou…

It's doble standard if you think "woman whore bad, man whore good/neutral". If instead you think both bad then it might not be a double standard but is sad because it implies you feel like you are irredeemable. Might require therapy for quality of life. Now, are you a manwhore because of your past or do you intend on fucking around while having a girlfriend?

As I said: "it s hypocritical if it comes with a judgement" Both things you mentioned come with a judgment
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/24 07:13 PM

All of these are only hypocritical if you comes with some sort of moral or character judgment. What I bring to the table doesn't have to be necessarily what my partner brings to the table. There is a difference between: "I want a rich man" vs "Men who aren't rich are trash/lazy/[insert any other judgement]. "I am experienced but I want someone inexperienced" vs "experienced women are whore"

Ah ok. Well yes. I don't disagree with you. A man like that can even be slightly below average in terms of stuff like social skills or confidence and many women will gladly help a man like that. That doesn't nullify that money is a game changer. Game changer does not mean "things will happen on their own". Give

Nah, women tend to find those thigns attractive. light to moderate muscles, dressing properly and even a perfume can make a man more attractive to women. Going out and being on dating apps isn't very expensive unless you're just wasting money. This will depend on where you live. If you live in an area where you can quickly access multiple locations where you can meet new women all year round then this might not apply as much. It also doesn't apply if you are relatively common in terms of your ta…

Not directly but it mades things easier. Money is a multiplier, of course if the only thing you have going for you is money then all your money is doing is multiplying 0 and any number multyiplyin 0 equals 0. I never said that money would on its own make women attracted to you.

If you mean unattractive in general (both unattractive physically and personality wise) then true (except for hold diggers). But if you mean physically unattractive then false. Even an unattractive guy that ISN'T rich can get laid if they have other things going on like charisma or something like being a musician. This is not an hypothetical, I'm talking from real life examples near me. Returning to money being a game changer it will make things easier in almost every case a way or another. Unle…

The best way of loving is to love the other infinitely but at the same time loving YOURSELF infinitely. In doing that you won't hurt, but you won't let others hurt you. You will be there to help them find fulfillment but at the same time they will be there to help you find your fulfillment. By showing each other what you bring to the table you help each other quickly know if you too are compatible or not, through conversation

Average looking charismatic in my experience tends to do quite well especially if you are not too heavily into looks. A proble with attraction that comes from looks is that looks are something you see inmediatly and if the other person doesn't feel the same towards you then it can lead to a situation where you are in disadvantage because you are more into them than them into you. While if the focus is on personality that tends to reveal itself more gradually. I have problems with this because I …

My guess that either you are charismatic or physically attractive. Maybe a mix of a bit of both. On the other hand, many of us here are neurodiverse which might make things more complicated. Your taste and interest can also have an impact on how simple are things. For example if you are among the lucky few that either don't care about looks or care just a little, you have powerful advantage. I say this as someone who is very aware of how (inconveniently) picky I am regarding looks.

I suppose by ideal you mean a perfect woman and not a woman that is good enough to make me feel attraction. A smart and nerdy woman that is kinda quirky. Most of them( like more than 90% of them) are hot as in conventionally very attractive. Most guys are subconsciously attracted to the women they think they can get Maybe this has something with how much I am into self-improvement. You don't have to be dumb to be manipulated. Sometimes is hard to know for sure, some people do a good job at hiding their intentions. Other times the intention isn't there from the beginning or is at a low level then raises as the man develops feelings. This is even more true for young people and also there is the case of people with autism that have difficulty reading body language or understanding social cues. Mmm I have confessed to multiple women in my friends circle and more often than not nothing bad happened. The problem comes when you come up too strong and push after the no. Also, it a good idea to do things gradually, not just blurt out you want to be their boyfriend so bad. And if she does react badly even after you did things right then she is not worth it neither as a loser or a friend.

Here is the thing. While for this bucket list item there is an emphasis on the physical aspect but the emotional aspect is not completely absent. She doesn't have to be say "girlfriend material" but I have to like her vibe and have a little bit of compatibility. Not to mention I'm not sure a hooker can simulate genuine attraction that well. It looks fake in my experience.

Sure, some people exaggerate too much wth the attitude. But at the same time I'm not just below 6'0" , I am 5'0". A person doesn't have to be shallow in order to not be attracted to me and they can find someone equal to me that is taller than me with not that much difficulty. Also we are assuming the two only options are "outright reject you and not even give you a chance because you are short" vs ignore height completely. Truth is that being short still puts you in a disadvantage with non-shall…

Correct.. I think they might be projecting. I say this because I could be one of them if I was less aware. I don't want kids , I'm in no rush to have a girlfriend and is not that important to me, and personally I feel loved enough just from having good close female friends. As a result of this my attraction has a lot of emphasis on looks (although it still is important than me and who I date are somewhat compatible) and I prefer to stay single than settling. Sure. I mean , why would you date someone who you don't like physically when you don't like their personality either.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 09:53 PM
4

Well... some physical traits can be the difference between a relationship and a friendship for some people too. I used that word because there are other negative traits that are bad for both, and other positive personality traits that aren't necessary for either. And finally there are some differences in values and expectations that are not a deal breaker.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 09:21 PM
10

I mean you re right in a sense. But returning to the question of the post, my answer is to the "why don't people date their friends more?" compatibility is one of the potential reasons in some cases but of course not al cases. -Lack of physical attraction is one -Lack of attraction due to personality traits is another one(eg. Not being masculine , being too shy, no charisma, social awkardness..) -Clash of values
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/24 08:06 PM

Some negative personality traits are not that problem for friendship but ARE a problem for dating. Some positive personality traits are not necessary for a good friendship but ARE important for a romantic relationship. Finally some differences in values an expectations are enough to block a romantic relationship but not a friendship. For example I can be friends with a woman that want kids, but I can't be in a relationship with a woman like that. Another example: say that a woman wants a man tha…

Exactly and horny/in love people often are not thinking critically. If I'm perfectly honest I'm admit I'm somewhat vulnerable to a combination of a smart woman with two big tits along some manipulation skills (which if you think about it is easy to learn when people are frequently trying to manipulate you) I might be getting better at noticing it on time but I'm not inmune.

This, also we can think of a quadrant where the best people are rarer than the worst people. Bad/crazy/toxic people are more common than good/health people. Also hot/charismatic/confident people are rare too. This mean that good people who are also hot/charismatic/bold are even rather and more often than not taken and very picky. Depends on the woman. If she already has male friends then giving them up haa a high chance of lowering her happyness. Especially if they are close friends. Same with men. Different people are different. I can explain my case: I don't feel much of an urge towards the romantic and also my posture has always been "if what I like about someone is her personality... I don't have to fuck her to enjoy that. Friendship works quite well to enjoy that part ... And If I like someone enough to want to fuck then all we have to d is fuck, no need to settle if I don't like them enough for that" For others having a partner might be so important that settling is worth it, especia…

Mmm I don't think that changing personality is harder than changing appearance for everybody. I think it will depend on the person. Ironically you might have to improve some aspect of your personality to have the discipline to go to the gym. Also, being healthy will probably improve your personality too.

It's not. It reasonable to take a rest from dating to reflect after a bad dating experience but one relationship is to small of a sample to draw the conclusion that dating is not worth it

Depends on the woman you are approaching and how you do so. Some guys get too pushy , but also some women are too dogmatic about it after getting burned out before(previous guy that was actually only trying to get into her pants from the beginning) or due to how they were raised. Also people tend to assume that if things went bad you had ill intent. Similarly happens in general when men fail at dating we often get the infamous "if you treated women like people you would be doing fine"

What I don't like is that when women do the same they don't get the same treatment. It is probably a remnant of traditionalism tho

The thing is that statistically speaking teaching abstinence only sex ed is less effective. Your method is the riskier way of sex education because it depends on an hormonal teen resisting temptation.

You are not violeting boundaries there. You are testing the waters to see if the person is open to talking to you. Violating boundaries is more when you either don't take no for an answer or when you do something very invasive like touching the person without previous context making it appropriate
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/24 11:36 PM
2

The thing is you don't really need a big percentage of DNA difference to generate a notable difference. Especially with something as complex as the human brain. This is before you add stuff like: -Hormonal events while you are developing on the womb -Epigenics -life events Humanity needs to go beyond mere individualism or more tribalism but not by ignoring either but by integrating them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 07:15 PM

Maybe the problem is the whole thinkiing in terms of male or female solutions. At the end of the day big issues need a mix of cooperation and resilience. A cooperation of strong individuals who know how to use male energy and female energy even if they have a preference for one or the other.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/24 12:17 PM

Having hard standards make life easier but artificially lowering them won't necessarily improve your life either Sure, maybe you are closing yourself to things that you would enjoy a lot of you opened to but maybe opening to it would lead to wasted tim and energy. It s your responsibility to take paths that bring you the most joy but it is not a moral obligation to settle.

People are mostly simplifying and generalizing their personal experiences. Think of statistics formed by biased scientists with either small samples or samples within the specific environment where people here date at or the method of sampling is not great (AKA, your behavior and way of presenting yourself to the world tend to attract some people while filtering others... which might cause a problem if you are filtering the kind of people you want to meet).

My experience proves the opposite. There are women who already ARE my friends. Get this through your head. Your experience is not universal. Realize that what happens to you is not what happens to everybody. From culture, to social class, to the environments, to the attitudes you have and places you visit to the way you project yourself to the world and finally to the people you approach or don't approach. All that shapes what happens to you.

It is an ideal. People look at higher divorce rates and don't realize that is not things getting worse but that people are putting with less bullshit now. Before there was a pressure to keep a marriage even if it sucked. Now, too much of the opposite is bad too. Forcing a dead marriage to go on is bad but so is running away at the first conflict.

Most men don't have to deal with that problem because..most of them do exactly that. That is why it is important to find your niche. Your experience doesn't change mine, and mine doesn't change yours. None of my female friends approached me because they were attracted to me. The conclusion from your story is not that all men-women friendship occur due to attraction, instead it indicates that SOMETIMES that can be one of many origins of a friendship. This is not a surprise since attraction can move people to take action. I have been on the opposite side of that because I have approached women I liked and showed interest in one…

"There is no such thing as platonic friends of the opposite sex." I beg to differ. I am a guy and I don't want to fuck all my female friends , not all of them are attractive. Second, even if I would like to have sex with a friend I express that interest early on and once I get a no, if I stick it is because I think she is a worthy friend "if a man wouldnt find a woman attractive at all, he wouldnt try to be your friend." Again, I have befriended women I don't find attractive. Maybe you can't. Ma…

"There are always other girls out there." Problem is my sex drive combined with my introversion. I have noticed most men tend to be horny enough to pursue almost any women , a "sex is sex" kind of attitude. That s not my case. My sex drive is closer to that of women in the sense that only a few men are worth the trouble but at least that balances out because there are a lot of horny men pursuing, facilitating things for women. Since I am a man I have to do the pursuing , but women who are attrac…

I agree. I am a man and I do have female friends, including women who I have found attractive at some point, but that is my choice because I saw being friends as worthwhile. But if you don't want to be friends with someone you have all the right to say no. That has to do with consent too. Now, I do understand the outrage when a man is sneaky and hides his agenda. In my case i don't hide I am interested, and also I don't fake friendship.

Correct. Only reason to do otherwise is if you want a relationship badly or if having kids is high priority to you. I don't want kids and I don't want a romantic relationship that much. A woman has a perfect personality, we vibe so well but I have no attraction towards her? I don't have to put my dick in her to enjoy her personality and that goes both ways. Like I am a very short guy and I know most women are not into that, they don't have to settle, we don't have to settle.

The thing is that hobbies do multiple things: they can increase the amount of people you meet and the quality of people you meet but also it is self improvement if you choose something aligned with you(not just to meet Moe people) because it benefits your mental health by improving quality of life and it could be a good way to improve social skills and through your hobby turn you into a more interesting person.

I think the main usefulness from money is not any direct attraction but the opportunities it open. The possibility of getting clothes that are both quality clothes but that represents you whether you are quirky, formal, classy, nerdy, etc. The way money facilitates logistics. The way money allow you to take courses and go to places. The confidence and security that comes from being financially stable. The capacity to enact any plan (because plans often cost money).
