You'd better be careful. You know how all the stories of cheating start - just sitting around on a Friday night, talking about my nipples to the boys as usual when suddenly boom! gay.

/u/belletaco seems to be describing the correct steps she’s taken, not complaining about some disadvantage. That might be accurate for other girls in general but not in this specific case.

I’m not expecting anything, however if I’m going to put in the work for myself and become someone with value, I certainly won’t settle for anything less. I’m fine being single if that’s what it means. I can wait for the right person to come along while I focus on improving myself.

Men have had sexuality forced down their throats since childhood too. Have you see He-Man or Thor? And I can think women preferring a 6ft tall prison birds is dumb too, what’s your point?

I rule out tobacco smokers by and large, but I’m far more open to pot use, depending on the frequency and the other factors in their life as you’ve said. I consider myself quite the stoner, usually getting high at the end of the work days just for a nice, calming end to the day. But in between that I work 40 hours at my job, diet, and exercise 6 times a week, so not all who smoke weed are necessarily sloth about it.

I saw her picture in the thumbnail, then while reading the article I found out she just turned 33. She may be a drunkdriving quasi-racist weirdo, but she’s keeping it tight for 33. Damn.

I agree with what you’re saying, and in this situation im advocating that either show of emotion would crapshoot your chances with that woman. But as a human being, separating sexual strategy, I think the “showing emotion over your mental health” is something that people should (but don’t) respond more supportively to, not just think “wow, what an immasculine crybaby”.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/18 12:05 PM
4

I agree, and a lot of times it seems women have to keep up the fantasy in their heads. It’s better to say “of course we value emotional openness” because that gives you plausible deniability when someone points out that their actions don’t match their words. In reality, any time I opened up when I was younger, you could hear Moisty Mire dry up into the Sahara Desert. That shit is an immediate turn off to almost all women. Flash forward years later, I don’t feel much of anything anymore. I’m a co…

I would think the exact opposite. Crying during a movie? Pussy. Crying during an emotional discussion about your mental illness and struggles with depression? Yeah, pretty legitimate thing to be upset about.

Unfortunately, I speak from experience in almost this exact same situation. I’m older now, but many years ago my high school first love went off to college and wanted to check out a club, having been a reserved girl throughout high school. I was young, dumb, and possessive so of course this didn’t sit well with me and I raised a fit. She went on to cheat on me in the following months and the relationship ended. But it was after some reflecting that I realized, ultimately I have very little contr…

Presumably the boyfriend likes his girlfriend and doesn’t want that exact scenario to happen, her cheating and then being demoted to fuck buddy isn’t ideal. However with that said, there’s something to be said about trust in a relationship. If you can’t trust her to do this experience like even once, is it a relationship worth being in? I get if she goes clubbing every weekend, yeah that’s a major red flag, because clubbing isn’t something you usually do when in a relationship. It’s more suited …

Huh?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/08/18 01:27 PM
2

See I’m not about to just accept their terms. That’s dumb, don’t play their game. Since they usually lie anyway and knowing their n count doesn’t help me anyway, I usually don’t ask. But assuming it did come up, I just round up depending on how well I know them and how reasonable their N is compared to what I know about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/18 04:27 PM
5

Yeah, I was more arguing from my POV that if I’m thinking about a girl’s N-count (if it did come up, for whatever reason) it’s flat out lying to just not include times they’ve had sex just because it was drunk or bad sex. For sheer numbers purposes, it should count. Also, kudos for the double entendre of “cockpit hours”. I lol’d.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/18 04:15 PM
4

Haha how do hookups somehow just not count? Yeah they’re messy and all, but it is the exact definition of n count. As in, “did you have sex? Yes? Then N+1”.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/18 04:01 PM

Nope. I don’t want to know the answer, ever.

I might've misread what you said earlier then, apologies. In regards to women initiating 70% of divorces, it seems more likely to me that a mix of factors play into it - not a clear-cut "he cheated on me, we're getting a divorce". My first thought on that is... what about all of the women cheating? I mean it's definitely as prevalent of a factor as men cheating. But in addition to that, it could be any number of other reasons why women initiate divorce more. It could be women yearning for their …

I figured in situations like these, there was no way that such a specific factor (male infidelity) would be such an obvious #1 reason. You'd think it would be like a 55/45 if not 50/50 split between the genders on cheating alone, let alone any other number of factors. You can say it's a top reason, but not the top reason. That's just dumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/18 01:03 PM
8

I decided to look it up for myself since neither of you wanted to. A few of my top results showed infidelity is up there as a top reason, but none of the first ~5 sites specified male infidelity. https://institutedfa.com/Leading-Causes-Divorce/ has “basic incompatibility” as the first reason, followed closely by “Sexual differences/Infidelity” which is sort of a catch-all term for anything sexually frustrating (dead bedrooms, lack of attraction, cheating, etc.). So, I would say the confident cla…

I’m almost always on the side of the cop, and there may be some buildup to this that the video doesn’t show, but it seemed their retaliation to her first attempt to cut in was a bit much. I think it’s possible it can be both some anger phase (because I read the whole post and even I felt angry after reading it - because I’ve seen these things time and time again and can verify they exist) while also being totally true. I even asked a match (who listed her Venmo) one time straight up, “do you actually get many people that pay you?” to which she said “You would be surprised” and had some emojis or shit to downplay it and not come off as shallow. I never responded to her because tha…

There are many places that are dedicated to brokering trades. Charles Schwab, for example, is one you can use. There are plenty of others, and even new ones like Robinhood (which is a free app) that has no fee per transaction (that is, it doesn’t cost you to tell them to buy or sell a stock). It’s something you can do online totally on your own. I’m 22 with no background in investing, but I signed up for a Schwab account and have been investing my disposable income into the market for a good yea…

I felt it taught much of the opposite, to not treat them as different from men. By default a lot of guys - especially the lot that need RP - pedestalize or otherwise dehumanize women and treat them differently because they're women. What RP teaches and what I believe this post did a good job of doing is explaining how women aren't that much different then men. Them not being "inherently evil", for example, being a trope a lot of angry, bitter guys genuinely can feel when they're at their worst. …

Nope, divorce rape is divorce rape, rape is rape. Nice try to reframe the argument though. But thanks for proving that feminists can only see their own point of view. How very open-minded of you.

One is rape, the other is divorce rape. Seems like separate enough names and "divorce rape" gets the message across perfectly as to what it entails, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/17 03:55 PM

Clearly. In one case you get to keep your house, money, and family but that doesn't mean I'd rather be raped. It's like saying murder and rape victims aren't the same. Yeah, they're not, so does that mean you'd rather be murdered or raped? I'd say neither. Both are terrible options.

The main issue is people have no clue who the fuck they are. And even beyond that they don't care to find out. They don't WANT to be themselves. They want to find someone else to tell them how to live. How to be. To tell them what they are. I find this to be very true, and it's worth stressing again (although the rest of your post was good too). It's easy to fall into the trap of thinking you know who you are, but it takes a high degree of introspection to step back and really analyze both what …

Reading both sides here, I don't think either of you will change each other's minds. Personally, I've seen /u/LewisCross 's point of view play out far, farrrr too many times for me to believe your side at all. However, I believe your side is true to you as well (if that makes sense?). the hardest obstacle to overcome in this debate is the very real specter of first-hand experience. I can't get past what I've seen work.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/16 09:32 PM

It has for me. If anything, I've become disillusioned to caring about people. I work out religiously now, since I know my value almost entirely stems from how I look and how much money I have. Who I am doesn't matter. Nobody loves me as I want to be loved, so why should I invest in anyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/16 08:44 PM
6

So much strife ties back to this, too. Doing nice things, trying to do what's right. In the end it doesn't count at all, and people rightfully get upset at that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/16 08:38 PM
10

I agree. I'm saying, it sucks to unlearn that comfortable "truth" that who you are matters and people can love you for you. End of the day, everyone is the sum of their parts. "What can they offer me?" It kills any wanting to be with people when you see the world that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/16 08:36 PM
6

It sounds goofy, but the wording doesn't matter. I could say "go back to previously held notions of women, the world, and love" but that's not as catchy as plugging back in. They're synonymous.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/16 08:32 PM
10

Yeah, but it defeats any idea of someone "loving" you for who you are - ideal love as men would have it. It's purely transactional. And that's soul-crushing to realize.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/16 08:30 PM

I'm pretty red myself, but I can understand what /u/biggerdthanyou is trying to say. He/she is basically agreeing that yeah, if you're a girl and it hurts and you want to stop, say fucking stop. That's common sense. But, if you're incapable in the moment of saying stop, it's really important that the male side be listening and monitoring their partner to make sure all is well. And honestly, it's pretty much what you do during sex anyway. Typing it out makes it feel inorganic and weird, but in th…

Wow, that's true. Double standard much. However, I really sympathize with the above post. That feeling of disillusionment with the world especially when it comes to the idea of a love just for you and nobody else. It's really unfair men can't express that same idea without it being creepy and clingy.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/16 05:22 PM

Thanks! I think it's the ultimate test of maintaining frame, as RP would put it. I'm not going to bend my mindset to fit what they want me to be. I'm choosing to be happy (or at least I'm going to attempt to keep that mindset).

As a white male (college aged too, as the article points out), I think this is where much of my own strife comes from. For example: I have many friends all over the political spectrum, and recently I've been talking a lot more with a friend of mine (white, female, very left leaning). I was one of those kids! Obviously anecdotal, but my experience was that: It's socially unacceptable to not go to these dances, so I went I can't dance. I'm terrified of dancing, alone/with a date/with a group. Many boys like me seemed to feel the same terror when it came to the dance floor. Although, many of the girls seemed to love it. Too bad I was too damned shy at the time. Walking around the room doing laps was my way of avoiding the dance floor while not obviously standing in the same spo…

Exactly. It's about truth. Now, listen. Of course I know life isn't all fun and games for anyone. I really get that. But at my current stage of life (early 20's, college student, weekend warrior), there's absolutely not doubt in my mind that a woman version of myself has it unbelievably easier than I currently do. And I'm very envious of that. It'll change. Time will go on and age will tip the scale to my favor a little more. But I'll never be what the girls my age right now currently are. So, y…

Part of your problem is that you assume two guys should figure out what is best for women I didn't ask you to decide what's best for women. We never came remotely close to talking about that. I just asked you to state your reasoning behind your views, which you clearly can't do. All you've done is side-step my questions and display your general lack of an ability to make a cohesive argument. Cheers.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/10/16 08:25 PM

Haha, so you're fighting me tooth and nail about the plight of women and the ease of being a man, but when I call you out to support your argument, your can't say anything? Talk about a harsh truth. Once again, your logic boils down to "This thing happened to me so it's 100% true and totally not anecdotal and you're dumb for having experienced differently!" Dude, being a guy is tough. Don't act like it's all roses. All quotas for anything (college, jobs) are always skewed against me. Any sexual interest I show in women can just as easily come off as me objectifying/sexualizing them. Late at night, walking home, women look at me like a potential predator, even though I'm probably more scared…

I was actually referring to your anecdotes about workplace conflict mitigation and women being discriminated. That's just anecdotal. My whole life I've seen men being discriminated against, if not outright hated by so many parts of society. I've actively felt demonized on the basis that I'm a male (a white male at that). So who is right? We've both experienced firsthand opposite sides of the argument.

That's true, don't buy the whole pig for a little sausage, However, time is the enemy and women have to compete with increasingly younger women as their age only goes up (and conversely their SMV/RMV goes down). Men generally don't experience this decline to nearly the same extent. So why buy the pig? Because in time the woman won't even be able to afford that same pig anymore.

Aside from obvious cases of drugging someone or having sex with the unconscious (for the feminazi retards: No one here condones these instances of legitimate rape) the difference is strictly in the disparity of your SMV's. You've phrased these two options like they're diametrically opposed, but they really sound almost the exact same except for the tone. Let's change a few things... The man seeks counsel and is given encouraging advice on how to improve his chances with women. It totally is easier to do complain than to take action. For those guys who take no action and expect to see better results, I have no sympathy. There are plenty of women who are honest in that they like good looking guys. Yes, there are. I think the scenario is as follows: Unplanned pregnancy happens. The women 100% has the choice to either have or abort the baby, since it's her body. Essentially, she is choosing whether or not she wants to be a mother. The man obviously can't make the decision for the woman to have or not have the child, since it's not his body. That's all cool. However, if the woman chooses to have the child (by extension, choosing to become a mother), that then forces the man to become the father - the woman …
