The encounter was a “notch on his belt” and he was “totally unaffected by it”. The victim was just 11 years old. As if that were not sufficiently horrific, that testimony was provided by the boy’s own father, who had himself been in a previous sexual relationship with the defendant. Yes you can. A person chooses to have a kid, and it is their responsibility. The state not placing the consequences and responsibility of having a kid on the mother is a state that incentivizes having kids irresponsibly. Being accused as, say, a racist when presenting a rational argument, many people fall into the trap of saying "no, I'm not racist," or something similar; they defend themselves. In defending theirselves for having done no wrongdoing, they are granting validity to the argument that they are racist. That's interesting, and I'm curious how much stock you put into this APA technical document. After all, it was a task-force that indexed and analyzed virtually all empirical information available on the topic of male circumcision. I think the crux of the matter is this: group justice vs. individual justice.
