I feel as if we are arguing similar points, If the world is indeed derterministic, then yes we should shrug and move on, not much we can do about it. But in the spirit of self improvement and taking control, wouldn't it be better to use a philosophy that includes the possibility of free choice?

I respect, and appreciate the stoics. Their contributions to logic are awesome, however I disagree fundamentally with deterministic reality. I admit this is based on belief instead of knowledge. I prefer to believe we actually have choice. Makes the world much more interesting. :)

According to the Stoic Philosophy, Fate is the master of us. The Stoics believed in deterministic reality, Meaning, everything is predetermined. If that's the case, weather or not we get laid is up to the stoic god, who permeates all existence.
