Is this in private or public education?

That book was really useful i thought. Made me realise a lot of the previous generation's insistence on "self esteem" based on nothing was as stupid as i suspected.

It's a bit different in Australia, but it's changing here slightly. I could go on about why the difference exists but I think that would be best left to a different reddit page on politics haha

Ideally yeah. But then you are actively trying to change your behaviour so it has the potential to make it worse. You start over correcting yourself. You start acting "too differently" to what you would. Basically a spectrum exists. One side is total self control and the other is truly losing it. Inhibition is different to self control though so that's what it is all about

The better you understand the different parts of your mind and what they want (and whether or not you should listen to them), the more you can make conscious decisions about how to shape your life instead of living according to the whim of opposing psychological forces at different times. This was very well put. Frued's theories are fraught with assertions which are unfalsifiable. It never really helps to use Frued's work as an almanac on the human species BUT it certainly helps when it comes to…

Yeah I am kind of the same. If I drink enough to limit my inhibition I can be pretty good. I recently hooked up with a girl I met through a university friend at a university party. I say 'recently', it was like early November. But I noticed that my inhibition was not restrained. I found this girl cute and I liked her mannerisms. We were laughing at one another's jokes and being dickheads to one another lol. We danced a bit and I tried to do salsa/tango. I honestly just did whatever the fuck came…

When you see a female psychologist then the entire grid is set differently if you catch my drift. Men tend to be more practical and offer practical solutions for the issues that are presented. I've spent more time working on practicality in the past 5 months with my male psychologist than I ever have with anyone else. It also helps that he is younger (he's like 28 and I'm 24). I thought machismo was all around south america, not just central america. Very well. I guess all people want to look gr…

I think he does it because of low self worth. He's not attractive by any normal standard, but I guess if it works for him then it works for him. I can't really comment much on the intentions and desires of others and whether or not they are good and/or bad. I just think it's weak to tap out like that. What bugs me more is that he calls himself a christian. Yet here I am as an atheist and a virgin.. At least I'm not giving up on my beliefs lol. Yeah I think I might need to be drunk in order to lo…

I see. I've noticed that Latino dudes don't necessarily need to be fit in order to get the ladies. It's more a case of the machismo not being based on putting others down or being a cunt to other people. It's cathartic I reckon. I'll get a psychologist after I talk about it with my parents. Maybe he/she will be able to help me find the cause. I did this too. But just in the reverse order.. as in I'm still a virgin but don't really care too much. But my anxiety stemmed from early childhood trauma…

I used to think a guy needed a woman to "give him" value. Catch-22. You seem to get value when you have a woman, but the reality is that you need to have value in the first place. A friend of mine is a bit of a loser but has done it on several occasions with some of his work colleagues. I'm not your typical run of the mill virgin, but I don't care for what others think. I'll lose it when I'm good and ready which will probably be sooner that I thought. I likely have some PTSD but am in a much bet…

So that’s it. It worked. When I took her home, she was still thinking about me as the “not-nice, direct, CONFIDENT handsome guy who owns a car at his age and has a lot of money” (only half is true, and if you do the maths you will note I’m not confident at all and I usually have anxiety attacks when I’m alone, so yeah). I was happy about lying about my sex life in multiple ways. I wouldn’t have done that without you, people, so… sounds like you had some things that were already in your favour.. …

My psychiatrist doesn't take shit from no one. He's told me on several occassions that medications are a personal choice for me. Tbh i only take them as it helps with sleep moreso than anything else, but potentially to stabilise moods. Was manipulated by an elderly religious man when i was young through school. Old cunt deserves to die lol. I went through about 5 psychologists before i found a good bloke i see now. He's about 27 and i am 24 so his knowledge is fresh in his head. Atheist like me …

When people like this "come forward" with their stories of "abuse" it makes me sick. For every bullshit anecdote that a woman comes forward with like that, there is a woman who is getting beaten up by her spouse. Funny how TRP advocates get called all sorts, yet the women who make up crap like this don't get penalised or cop a hefty fine. How these women could possibly trivialise rape by accusing a guy of something similar because he rejects your advances is insanity. Fucking lol.

Google are simply trying to make thier business/company attractive by pandering to these sorts of causes. Way to overthink it. Since when the fuck is the ethnic composition if a workforce indicative of anything anyway? People are hired based on their ability to do the job. All the other shit is irrelevant. I wish people would quit viewing businesses as some demi-god of social justice that seek to counter "the narrative" of a white male stereotype. It's just a workplace not a fucking political be…

it's often argued that if women took control of the powerful positions in govt and business then there'd be less conflict and war. There'd be the same amount of conflict but manifested differently. Instead of rhetoric around nuclear armaments there would be full scale war because comments and words become weaponised. It ridicules men and women both, but moreso men. What you say is true in my experience too but don't let colour a prescription of ALL the world's ills. Such a view is guilty of the …

He can definitely do better. I have a friend who is a fat neckbeard who dates sevens and eights because of the way he presents himself. He dresses very professionally and gives zero fucks about woman and what they like. Girls fucking love it! Just proves the that old adage of confidence is key to all of it. That's what my friend has. But I have seen others who are in the same boat straight up get married to their first girlfriend because of their religious beliefs. Silly. Thanks heaps :) and wil…

well i think she's gross and i told her i would her 100 bucks if she ever saw me clean shaven. Besides i grow it because i like it. I dont give a rats ass if it gets me attention. On the rare occassion that i got a conpliment from a good looking girl friend its good i guess. I think its honestly because she was a spoilt kid growing up. or you could've said "well you might have to fit into again if you keep this sort of thing up" xD (I'm a slack bastard hehe) But what you've articulated here is pretty much EVERY father of every male friend I have. Even some of my uncles. It's the inability to perceive some better alternative to what they have. It's the typical 9-5 job, car, 3 kids, house with mortgage fucking cold war era bullshit. Overall really solid advice :) Reminds me of something my grandfather told me once when I was a kid in regards to maths homework: "get it by the throat and make it work" because I feel like that is a good way to approach life and its tribulations.

People (especially woman) will often try to shake your frame in order to see what you really are (the famous shit test). Could this be a friend's gf telling me i would get more attention from girls if i shaved? She has a very high opinion of herself and I've gotten more compliments with it than without it. Weird example, but I'm trying to understand why the fuck she felt it necessary to say so. She is herself a 4 anyway... maybe 5..

And you could be right about the inhibition. Perhaps porn had inhibited me from knowing or even wanting to express my sexual energy in such a way because of porns trance like effects VERY apt description. porn doused mind had me focused on my personal sensations and desire to be pleased rather than feeding the sexual positive feed back loop of my girl This is also a gold nugget of truth.

I have met guys who have basically no social skills, no physical skills (lifting, running, nothing), and as a result almost no positive interactions with women who aren't there mother. For that guy it will be very hard. I would go so far as saying that even these guys don't even positive interactions with their mothers. At least not in any sense that is conducive to them improving their skills/life/whatever. A good mother would point these things out, but perhaps in a less obtuse way to a good f…

i see. I'm asking because I'm curious as to what made you unleash what sounds like a rather dominating form of sexual activity. Either way. Whatever works. Your theory sounds legit tbh. But again it would depend on what you watch as to the extent to which it is true. Because I certainly understand the logic of your point (ie when you watch it and beat off you are submitting yourself because you aint doing anything for another human etc), but I'm wondering about the domination stuff you seem to b…

I feel like i can relate somewhat. Especially with the eye contact and touch. Happened about a month ago. Was easily the most masculine i have ever felt. There was a beauty to how real it was, she even told me she enjoyed herself on the date that followed. Tbh you should check out the feminists of the 60s and 70s... they never advocated for anti-men bullshit like the modern ones do. A lot of them are ostracised from the modern feminist movement because they aren't as extreme as the other ones. Camile LaPaglia did a really good interview with Jordan Peterson this stuff. Nevertheless, OP sounds disillusioned and can we can really blame him? 'A nice guy who is assertive and confident' is exactly right sir. You are exactly right about the gym too. Eve…

i couldn't agree more.. there is a really sickening, gross attitude that western society has towards men.. its essentially the reversal of what society used to think of women. Your central point is spot on. Suffer in silence (obviously when things are very bad you don't bottle it up, you make a wise choice to share this with people you trust). You just do what yougotta do. That's all. No point chucking a pissy fit over it - not only is that not going to solve the problem, but it's going to add t…

its the total destructive nature of the radical left which makes modern feminism so averse to masculinity. Apparently it's okay to celebrate being feminine but not masculine. I take pride in being labelled "toxic" if it means I am comfortable in my skin. But then again, even feminine traits are frowned upon in modern culture.. apparently a girl cant post an image to instagram about losing weight without upsetting a fat girl. Tradition is so often equated with oppression. Oppression is not "viewi…
