Then you are saying people in Congress aren't allowed to run for president. Which is anti-constitutional. Presidents get voted into office by their constituents as well. And their constituents have a say on whether they want to keep them. Again, you're cherry picking based on... You don't like people you can't vote for missing votes. Which is odd.

I hate these stats. They're selective and bullshit. Cherry picking facts to support a preconceived position. The high miss count for Gabbard is based on her time running for president. EVERY senator and congressman miss votes while on the campaign trail. Because they're on the campaign trail. They're the political equivalent of excused absences. Part of that is because the assumed sex, when neutral, is male. It's the curse of making all the rules: they have a natural slant towards the rule-makers. That shouldn't imply that we men don't deserve the same protection, but that one comes at the expense of the other. I like the photo, it's those who infer from it a negative bent that quirk me.

I'd say that, while I fully agree with both the notion that all children should be taught to respect everyone AND a special level of focus should be given to those portions of people most likely to not receive it, I don't agree with a number of the inferences that have come in the comments. I don't want to assume OP agrees or not with those comments, though.

Teach your kids to eat theirs vegetables HOW DARE YOU, SIR?!?? Kids should be taught to EAT!!! That selectivity is OFFENSIVE! But... That lesson is being taught. Effectively. There is, however, not enough emphasis on vegetables in particular. They need greater attention than, say, grains, if only because people are already eating enough grains. IT'S SELECTIVE!!!!
