This deserves more upvotes. The lawyer in question is almost certainly not working on contigency, as he/she realizes that proving "wrongful death" in this example is a fool's errand. At best, the defendants will settle for an amount that barely covers the OP's legal fees. There certainly won't be enough left over for a trust.

I'm very sorry for your loss. But suing anonymous internet posters is just an attempt to blame someone for an otherwise senseless action. You are seeking to lash out, to get even with those who caused his death. This lawsuit, unfortunately, is not the answer. At the end of it, you will not earn very much money and will feel worse for the time and suffering it put your through.

Rule X: Commenters are not allowed to say "This post is not offensive" or "This is not SRS worthy" even if you're being super edgy and ironic. SRS is a circlejerk and interrupting the circlejerk is an easy way to get banned. Instead, if you do not know why the shitpost was posted to SRS and sincerely want to discuss it, visit SRSDiscussion (make sure to read the rules first before posting there!).

Might be worth not resubmitting something that's already been posted, fuckface.

Congrats! You're now officially too stupid for the internet. And that's saying a lot, given that AOL still has subscribers.

I guess that explains why none of your comments are upvoted.

Reddit caters to a slightly more literate crowd. Your comments are unlikely to be taken seriously if you can't be bothered to write correctly.

You forgot to capitalize "Douche". That, or you should've used a comma.

You have a problem with /r/amputee? Wow. And here I thought reddit was more enlightened than that.

You guys should check out /r/amputee. Or, if you're hot, /r/stumpsgonewild/.

Is it really that hard to type "You"? Or are you simply an amputee writing from a mobile phone?

This will make me sound like a stereotypical redditor, but bad grammar is a turn off. To me, it comes across as lazy and perhaps a little stupid. Perhaps I'm in the minority, but perhaps the girl you're texting is in that same minority.

Perhaps. These were examples; you'd have to make certain each fit the context of the text. You can always soften them, though: I bet you've got an interesting Halloween costume. So, tell me what you're wearing... :)

I also use proper sentence structure when instant messaging. Bitches love grammar.

The grammarian in me finds this unconscionable. Just change the sentence structure: Tell me what you're dressing up as on Halloween. I'd like to see you on Thursday. Tell me what your plans are for Saturday. Tell me what you're wearing. Same principle, without resorting to middle school grammar.

Yeah, that's not at all how women react. Knowing that THE_Bill_Gates likes her would only turn a woman off.

Sorry. I have other, 'helpful' reddit accounts and initially created this one just to be an ass. However, I often can't be bothered to log out just to answer a question usefully. But since you asked, here's a more Trollington answer: 'When in doubt, whip it out. Chicks love a bold man. If you're ever stuck for words, unzip your pants, flop out your dick and say the words, "It's not going to suck itself." Works every time.'

Baby steps. Try asking women for the time. After they tell you, say thank you and end the conversation. Your goal here is to get used to simple interactions that end well, and to not view them as stressful. After a while, move to directions. Confirm them once she's described them, say thank you, and end the conversation. Again, it's a little more involved than "Do you have the time?", but it's simple enough that you should do it with ease. You're not trying to pick up - just to get used to conve…

Don't be late. Don't call to apologize. Aim to arrive 10 minutes early but don't go inside until it's right on time. Get her phone number after coffee, if you're still interested.

You're in luck; as a female, it's much, much easier to approach men. Rejection might sting more, but it's far less likely.
