Tbh I havent read up enough to form enough of an opinion about them. Afaik, any abortion after 24 weeks is difficult and problematic, eventually becoming fatal with the increase in time, so I only would look at exceptions. Murder: the crime of killing a person illegally and on purpose. Homicide: the illegal killing of one person by another; murder. A foetus isn't a legal person. So it's logical that it should be charged with either just a homicide, maybe a bit more, but foetus clearly isn't equivalent to a person, so I dont think the punishment should be equal. There are very clear and stark differences between them. The reason why killing them in the womb is ok, because I think its morally wrong to force a woman to carry someone for 9 months, which they might not even want, cant provide for, is fatal for the host, and will take at the very least a few months for the mother to recover after delivering the baby.
