They are still part of the country and are entitled to their opinion. Especially the presence of a strong military is something that affects the entire country. 3	Male privilege in Switzerland Swiss guy here who luckily got around the military service. First of all, the vote was held in 2013 and it wasn't about compulsary military service for men, but compulsary military service in general. The military and the concept of "armed neutrality" are very important in Switzerland, which is why military service is compulsary in the first place. 3	I HATE modern feminism In pretty much every group, there are extremists. They call themselves feminists even though they have very differnet views. You can't judge feminism as a whole because of these people. While there are people who hate men, there also people who hate women. But on this list: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_firearm-related_death_rate when you sort by total, the US is on place 10 with 12.21 (firearm related death rate per 100'000 population), behind Honduras, El Salvador, Venezuela, Eswatini, Guatemala, Jamaika, Brazil, Columbia and Panama.
