Don’t become angry at women, don’t fall into these right wing uber bro groups…. You have time to create an interesting life for yourself with interesting hobbies, and interesting style. Once you have a life you love, women will be more willing to share it with you.

Right on! Agree completely.

Yes but they’re usually considered narcissists. Women like them because they’re confident, have a plan, seem to know how things work etc. They’re horrible people though and usually end up destroying the woman’s life and others around them. It’s much better to legitimately like women, because they’re amazing.

Yeah when I was in school, where you sat the first week was largely where you’d end up staying all semester, so I’d try to find a cute girl to sit next to right away.

Men and women don’t sit next to each other in classes anymore? That’s seriously wild…

Haha I’ve noticed the people with the most vile user names often have the most helpful, informed and nuanced advice.

Tell her early if you’re interested!!! Don’t expect affection in exchange for good behavior.

Well don’t be creepy or pushy about it, then your reputation will be “hey there’s that guy who likes to meet and talk to people…”

You’d think… Ive Tried to date a few of them in the past unsuccessfully.

Move on, try to meet real women, not a child in a women’s body.

Yes you can counteract the “under 6 foot man” myth by having a personality.

This is true, and I've missed the window sooooo many times.

Get a dog and have it walk up to guys you’d like to talk to. Instant icebreaker.

I Iike the metaphor that masculinity is like fire. It can be used to create, protect, and affect positive change (cook), or it can destroy everything. It’s all how you wield it.

I think there’s definitely been an upswing in going after traditional masculine behaviors and traits, which is a reaction against a small subset of truly vile, predatory and abusive men… Every time I see these memes about how horrible and toxic men are, I try to highlight POSITIVE masculinity, as I think we need more messages like this, or we create a generation of men too embarrassed and shamed to approach women.

Shoot, I’ve driven over an hour for lunch and no sex.

If you don’t have above average looks or status/wealth, you need above average confidence, personality and motivation.

I’d phrase it like “treat women well, but also act like you’d be ok without them”. And add “act like you’d know how to handle shit if shit went down.”

What really sucks is when you do get those green lights/ioi’s and then she goes cold, and you start thinking “I can save this or turn it around.” 95% of the time you can’t, and it’s best to move on.

You met in a bookstore...Ask her if she’d like to come over for some Dickens. ;)

Yep! Just be sure to compliment their style, actions or personality, NOT their body.

I think it was James Marshall that summed up the nice guy character as being inherently deceptive, as you're offering your time and often money and gifts with an unspoken expectation that your efforts will be rewarded with physical intimacy. This is never stated clearly though, so the woman doesn't see clear romantic intent from the guy, and the "nice guy" gets frustrated that the "friends first" method almost never results in sex or relationships. You like the girl, you have to tell her early o…

Self awareness is the first step, making a plan is the 2nd, so you’re looking in the right direction. You’re young, you still have plenty of time to turn it around. I don’t know what your marketable skills, hobbies and interests are, but work on all that to cultivate some income so you can get a place with roommates, and Perdue hobbies that facilitate meeting people. Get a workout buddy, as it will help you so much to stick with it. I’d agree to use porn sparingly. Not only does it warp your per…

Laughing at your jokes a lot, finding small opportunities to touch your arm. You can get into more in-depth psycho-analytical things like if she matches your body angle, but that’s about as blatant as it gets.

So how did you become wealthy so early in your career and what industry are you in?

Have you tried going “pspspspspspsp”?

Agreed. I've missed many chances with women I was interested in, that were briefly interested in me, but moved on because I hesitated or didn't make a move, even though I wanted to. Then when I did try, it was too late and the attraction had faded. Sucks but that's the reality.

Yes to stating your intentions and flirting, but if it doesn't work out, don't completely cut contact. There are NO better allies to helping you meet and hook up with women than cute female friends. If attractive women see you with other attractive women enjoying your company, having animated conversations etc, this immediately raises comfort levels, and breaks ice, especially if she is already friends with your friend.

I keep a funny picture of Dick Clark on my phone so I can quickly send it to a girl I'm talking to as a joke, if the conversation goes that way. It's fun to do if she mentions actually receiving real dick pics from idiots.

She could've interpreted the "dress like that" remark as disparaging or slut-shaming. Probably just too early or she had a lot on her mind. Don't let it rattle you.
