It’s not so much that it’s right leaning, more that it is explicitly not left leaning. The left hate us, they perpetuate and pander the hatred. The right isn’t perfect, but it doesn’t harbor hatred the same way

Classic feminism was created at a time where you could argue women had less rights. Phase one was all about getting women suffrage.

Classic feminism was equality of the sexes. An inherently pro male and pro female ideology.

I think this sub generally devolved into a bit more of a toxic MGTOW group than an actual MRA group. It’s not as bad as some, but it’s not uncommon to find a post that belongs on TWOX

My mom doesn’t understand why I am so upset by the boyscout change. I was never a Boy Scout, in part because my parents though I was too gay for it (I am bisexual now), but had always wanted to be a member, even without being meeting the Christianity requirement. My twin and little sister are both girl scouts, my brother never had any interest in joining, but through most of my childhood I wanted to join. But just seeing another male space shut down like this absolutely shatters my soul, because…

I’m bisexual and an MRA. In fact, I’ve noticed a lot of gay men exist beside the MRA space, but the form of MRA a lot of gay men push borders the more toxic side of the community as I’ve found many gay men don’t consider women at all in the discussion

As someone going into psychology this gives me hope. Not only that the research is allowed to be done, but people are doing it. There are 3 areas I want to work with once I become a psychologist, men’s health, maybe creating an androcentric therapy model so that men could actually get a benefit out of therapy. 2. Gay people to destabilize this incredibly harmful and affirmative view, because, as a gay man, it is only hurting our community. And 3 is ADHD. I want to destroy the habit of prescribin…

I’m an MRA. I’m bisexual. Remember, just like feminists, there will always be bad actors attracted to the movement for the wrong reasons. Now the reason people assume most gay people are feminists is because the spaces where gayness is encouraged, and where overt leftism (entangled with feminism) are encouraged are identical, blue states and colleges. You don’t need an excuse to stay an MRA for any reason other then it’s what you believe. The homophobia is a minority, and, while subjective, in m…

From my understanding, second wave began shortly-directly after the success of the suffrage movement. The idea behind it was not to “undermine the patriarchy” but to simply raise women to the same level as men to create equality between the sexes. And it is that Ideal I support. Raising the sexes until they are equal, unlike some levels of execution, and all the later waves that sought to lower men to what they perceive to be women’s levels, and then further some stil

Second wave feminism has nothing to do with the critical theory parts of it. That was all introduced third wave-intersectionalist. All second wave aims for is equal treatment of the sexes, later expanded to all people. It has nothing to do with oppressed/oppressor relationship, or anything else that was introduced with Marxist critical theory

Ok but nothing about the discussion or the post has anything to do with hypocrisy and it’s a moot point. Unless your referring to the hypocrisy of being ok with not tipping women, but going to be absolutely pissed if a woman said the same
/r/MensRights15/06/22 04:19 PM

If he doesn’t want to tip, then he should go to France. Waitstaff make most of their money off of tips, and while he might have had the best of intentions, 10 dollars on a glass of water is a little weird, since water is free at all restaurants. Calling out revenge sexism isn’t misandrist, it’s called common sense. We all want the same goal, but fighting sexism with sexism won’t work since feminazis are always looking for sexist acts to vindicate themselves, so why make it easy on them?
/r/MensRights15/06/22 03:39 PM

Protesting sexism by being sexist doesn’t fix anything, and just gives them more ammo. If we ever want to make change, we have to be better then them. Plain and simple.
/r/MensRights15/06/22 03:36 PM
0

Once again, that’s not the same thing as refusing to tip women. Refusing to tip women is straight discrimination, no two ways. Just as if a woman refused to tip all men. Change the subject, and see how it makes you feel. What you advocate for is not forwarding mens rights, only giving feminazis more ammunition to hate us

Your complaining about cringe…did you read this before posting it? And here’s the thing, the idea of never tipping women is not the same thing as “favoring other men”, it’s just not. She’s a complete nut, but we have to be careful. People encouraging you to absolutely not tit ANY female waitstaff is a problem and antithetical to our goal, that’s getting into actual sexist territory. There is a difference between fighting for our rights, and revenge sexism

Fgm DOESNT have a hygienic application, last I check the clit doesn’t make vag cheese. Plain and simple you don’t know anything about infantile circumcision, you have no clue whether or not it actually does make their life better, the vast majority of people never even think about if their cut or not.
/r/MensRights16/05/22 03:56 PM

At MOST it reduces total sensation by 30%, with a majority of studies finding that it has absolutely no reduction in sensation. Your just wrong pal, live with it
/r/MensRights16/05/22 03:53 PM

Even if hygiene isn’t a great reason, it’s still a reason, whereas there is no reason for fgm, ever. And once again, because you clearly cannot read, I don’t support mgm, and if aren’t cut, then you also have no clue what it’s like to be cut, and you sure as hell don’t get to speak for us of your not apart of us.

What does it take to have a clue? Try an ounce of intelligence. And why aren’t the two the same? The removal of the clit doesn’t provide any kind of hygienic benefits, and it’s an intensely higher concentration of nerves with an incredibly higher chance of mishap, as well as the average age of performance being significantly older. Buffoon? That’s Clever, new one /s The act of dying is suffering, sure, but the moment you breathe your last, you cease to suffer. Nothings left. Willful soldiers are, and have always been, far, far more effective then conscripts. And thank you for repeating the same thing I just said, it increases bodies, but decreases the overall quality, can’t you read?

The dead don’t suffer, their dead. If your religious, their in paradise, if you aren’t, then they’ve ceased to exist. Nothing but a name, and a bunch of memories for everyone else to carry. Y’all really don’t get my comment, it’s a philosophy in an attempt to deter war, and to deter the idea that there’s glory in dying in combat. Dyings easy, hell, we’re dying just to do it!… surviving’s tough, you have to both Cary the weight of those who died, and those who have lost, by why must women complain when they refuse to share the burden?
/r/MensRights19/04/22 03:12 AM

In a sense don’t they? Our suffering ends the moment we die. They have to live with the suffering and hell that comes after. A simple solution would be to include women in the fighting, but thats also sexist, apparently

Be warned, this is getting a little close to “we’re not mysoginist we promise!” Territory. Remember, we’re not supposed to hurt women in this endeavor but raise men up. For instance, people with higher gpa’s get discounts, safe drivers get lower rates, etc etc. Young men, statistically, cause far more accidents and far more damaging accidents at that, therefore, to ensure you don’t cost the insurance company, they compensate for this risk with higher rates until around 25. You can’t expect someone to be an activist, or an active one all the time. Situations call for various levels of response, and shaming is NOT what we should be doing. We should be supportive, kind, everything they say we as a movement arent. We have to prove them wrong bec so they can’t hate us.

It doesn’t sound of sarcasm. Also why does this have to be offense? I want to make sure this group doesn’t become what radfems think it is.

Read the title of the post “of your looking for an excuse to avoid women at all costs”. My comment is very appropriate for that title

In sure if it’s not your intent, but the way you worded the title it brought a little concern. I just want to relish everyone here that hating women for bad actors and lawmakers is not ok, we have to be better then that

A patriarchy is a male run society that prevents women from getting ahead. We do not live I na patriarchy. Plain and simple. Look at all the women on tv, the US VP, speaker of house, all the female ceos. If we lived in a patriarchy they wouldn’t be there

How am I justifying it? Please, enlighten me. Also their intent was objectively to steal the car, they wanted the car. These two women are psycho, need mental help and need to be punished but the two crimes are not comparable.

How the hell does that make me the problem? Intent matters, hands down. I’m not defending the two women or what they do, but it’s still not the same thing as kidnapping and mutilating someone, it’s absolutely not the same thing regardless of gender
/r/MensRights07/04/21 02:14 PM

Ok but kidnapping and mutilating a 2 year old is very different from a carjacking gone wrong

You missed another key word: two young teen black girls. The media loves to report on male on immigrant, and white on POC crime. If they were white we would’ve heard about it a lot more.

I’m conflicted. On one hand I want them to rot for killing an innocent and having no remorse, but their still kids, but they did kill a man. I don’t usually believe in holding people accountable for things they do as kids but this is pretty bad, I don’t know if I want them to rot or not

You missed the key word “now”. The officer said women go to prison for domestic abuse now
/r/MensRights05/04/21 03:44 PM

The man was falsely accused as a domestic abuser by everyone who he tried to talk to

Remember, hate begets hate, violence begets violence. They want to turn you into what they say you are, don’t give them the inch. Counter their hate with love and kindness, you can feel what you do on the inside, but never let that taint who you really are. Just be kind, be nice, and be strong.

It’s not your fault, and it’s not your genders fault. A lot of people in this subreddit I fear are starting to slip a little and need to know it’s not all women who do this, but a small but vocal community that’s doing this to us. Thank you for making an effort, but you have be reason to apologize

I’m asexual biromantic. People in my group pare twice the black sheep of the LGBT community as many members of LGBT often attack both bi people and ace people for the i sexuality. I can say with 100% certainty that yes, a lot of LGBT people (at least in America) are extremely privileged and act extremely privileged based on their identity. I see this most in gay men and trans people, but lesbians aren’t far behind. For instance ive seen a lot of gay/lesbian who think that it’s ok to sexually har…

You might not know what it’s like to be a woman, but she doesn’t know what it’s like to be a man who has to listen to those close to you hate a nearly unchangeable aspect of your life. Make that clear to her. It goes both ways. Ask her how she would feel if you spoke about women the way she speaks about men
/r/MensRights10/03/21 05:33 AM

One white woman in blackface, and then all black women...that’s not in the slightest bit diverse tf

A bunch of these seem a little petty. Having a woman’s encouragement program isn’t a problem. But they should also open programs for men.

I do think women should have some more rights over the child, as she does have to carry it for 9 months. That of course ends after the pregnancy ends. A man should have the right to stop the abortion, but should have to help with the hospital fees. And if women can get out of child support, men should be able to as well.

I’ve been arguing this for years. I’ve never seen men perpetuate those kinds of behaviors

The subreddit should be renamed:toxic femininity
/r/MensRights17/01/21 08:04 PM

I can see that, just confused why. Second wave feminism, and MRAs are the same. They want true gender equality.
/r/MensRights16/01/21 05:06 PM

At the end of the day, what’s the difference? You have feminist extremists (3rd wave, intersectionalist, terfs) and you have MRA extremists, but at the core they both support the same cause, gender equality
/r/MensRights15/01/21 05:21 AM
12

Women do this all the time, except when the woman is the maternal parent. They actively go broke to avoid paying, and frequently can get away with it, with the support of feminist communities. Here’s a video from Sydney Watson, a female MRA, who I find to be a little red pilled, but her opinions of gender rights are spot on. https://youtu.be/p3u8FdwnmiU
/r/MensRights11/01/21 05:06 PM

Your hostility is exactly the type of thing I, and many other people, have an issue with regarding most MRA’s.

Forgive my ignorance-what is an MRS?

I don’t need to.
/r/MensRights05/01/21 12:21 AM

Yea, there are bad MRA’s, just as there are bad feminists, and good feminists. I’m sorry man, your the problem. I’m trying to stay constructive, working towards a betterment, your choosing to get offended. You are no better than an extreme feminist.
/r/MensRights04/01/21 08:07 PM
-9

Your focusing on the wrong topic, and the reality of the situation is there are bad MRA’s and they have a bad name. I support men’s rights, I’m pro men’s rights, but MRA’s are given a bad name, sometimes for a reason even. Your anger is proof of my point. I just want to know how to constructively discuss the advancement of men’s rights.
/r/MensRights04/01/21 08:01 PM

I explained why I don’t want to be viewed as an MRA, MRA are frequently as bad as intersectionalists. I am, however, a men’s rights supporter..? Dunno gotta find something better. It’s like how I support Black Lives, but I don’t support BLM because it’s far more then just what they say.
/r/MensRights04/01/21 07:11 PM

I’ve gotten to the point of just calling it out. Someone says something sexist towards men, I don’t care I’ll just calmly say “that’s sexist” and leave it. Maybe one day they’ll get the memo
/r/MensRights04/01/21 06:48 PM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
