As a man who had traveled the US extensively, the south (east) is something else. The rest of the country is not like them in many ways (for better or worse).

Sure, you'll find sexist men who will have a problem with women having positions of authority, but if you're asking my opinion on men in general, I would warrant a guess that the majority of men would not have a problem with submitting to a competent woman in a position of authority within a system of meritocracy. As for the second part, you're just entering into the Victimhood Olympics of "who is oppressed MORE" which is a tool used to divide the oppressed and pit them against one another, so I…

Recommendation: stop framing oppression as a gender issue. A tiny minority of men are oppressing everyone when oppression actually occurs. Bob down the street has no real power to oppress you, sweatheart. There are multiple forms of control and oppression, including the ones you mentioned. Trust me, they have nothing to do with women (exclusively) potentially rising to the occasion.

It's been proven that the best publicity strategy is to not say a word, even if you're innocent.

There are women who are only interested in spending time with their partners when they want to be entertained. They view their man as a source of excitement, adventure, drama, and comfort, but nothing more than that. Because this is all that these women are interested in, they fail to connect with their partners on a deeper and more devoted level. She doesn't want to go on a date to spend time connecting with her man. Rather, she wants to go on a date for the sake of what the date activity is al…

That is not what I mean. It is extremely presumptuous for you to project your expectations onto me in order to paint me as the villain you want me to be so that you can feel justified in your militant attitude. I am not talking about not putting effort into the relationship, but I can see why men wouldn't put effort into a relationship with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/26 03:27 AM

I just want a loyal and devoted woman who actually wants to spend time with me instead of expecting to be entertained, has enough shared interests to where we can enjoy recreational activities together, and has enough going on in her life that she can spend time away from me without cheating. If she is kinky in a complimentary way, that would be a plus.

Here's the thing. Men are complaining about a lack of empathy. Most women pretty much refuse to admit they have this dynamic available to them in the first place, compared to men. On top of that, they then pull up the ladder behind them by complaining that men aren't as emotionally developed and put them down very publicly on social media. I do think that a lot of men are seeing this and deciding that they need to develop themselves in these areas independently of women's involvement, but that n…

I agree for the most part, but women are generally more compulsive spenders when it comes to finances, so depending on the specific individuals involved, that's probably the one thing I might disagree with you on. I feel like you aren't going to get the amount of pushback you were expecting for what you posted.

It's not hatred. It's just that we recognize that USUALLY there is a lot of baggage with single moms that we simply don't want to deal with. It's more like a MGTOW thing than a hatred thing there. Stop taking it so personally, OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 12:00 PM

I think you may have a misconception on what constitutes a "shit test." This term isn't a derogatory term for women vetting men, but a very specific kind of behavior that is often subconscious and not even intentional. A "shit test" is when a woman challenge's a man's emotional stability by poking at his feelings in order to see if the man is strong and resilient to such attacks. Usually the women who do this do it many times. Examples of this include trying to make the man jealous or poking at …

Admittedly, I haven't looked at the studies. I'm just going based off what OP said. I might be wrong. Tbh my arguments in this thread have been pretty weak, and I've made an ass out of myself a little bit.

I would hazard a guess that the number of men financially ruined by women, socially ruined by women, and driven to suicide by women outnumbers the femicide victims. Regardless, it's not really relevant to the argument.

It perpetuates misandry, framing men as oppressors. It creates a mental framework for its members to see any kind of opposition to its ideology as an attack, resulting in said feminists to slip into a fight or flight response. This further reinforces men as"the enemy" since that's what we do when we're in such a state. This is then used to justify emotional attacks on men in their day to day lives, treating them as subhuman. It marginalizes human suffering because "men have no excuse with all th…

Feminism is now attacking men. Be grateful for those things, by all means, but the modern feminist movement is not that same movement. It has transformed significantly, and it is now the villain. You are the bad guy now.

But, see, your argument is disingenuous then since you are covertly changing the subject matter of the discussion. Again, there is a difference between attractive behavior that gets you excited to be with someone and behavior that sparks libido. We are talking about the latter, while you are trying to squeeze a shift to talk about the former.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/26 09:12 AM

I agree. Men need compassion from women. Women need compassion on men. Women are currently withholding compassion, thus making it a gendered issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 09:32 PM

Yes, but to loop back to my original point, men will jump to comfort women with compassion. Women do not do the same for men. It's one of those "female privilege" things, if you will.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 09:28 PM

I cannot ignore the many reports that a significant portion of men are emotionally stunted and repressed, so there is probably some truth to that... But... In my lived experience, men are more likely to show one another compassion than to receive it from women. I actually have quite a few platonic female friends, and the women who have shown me compassion are angels I am grateful to have in my life, but most of them close up and distance themselves if a male friend in our group is going through …

Yeah, I get what you're trying to say, but there is a difference between emotional fulfillment and lust. You can't honestly tell me you have looked at a man washing dishes and have that be the reason you get wet. It's dishonest to conflate the two.

You're not wrong, but I want to add some nuance to this. Women often reward misogyny and then act all surprised Pikachu when they have five boyfriends in a row who disrespect them. A significant number of women punish caring men with shit tests. The men who pass these with flying colors are the ones who simultaneously are aware of the shit tests and also truly don't care. There is a lot of crossover between misogynists and the men who are like that. Honestly? It kinda works out since this acts a…

What did I just read!? 🤣 I know this article went viral a bit ago, but I never bothered to read it until just now. It's honestly kind of sad that women are having this kind of reaction, especially in regards to putting so much focus on curating their social media for digital likes and comments from strangers rather than, I don't know, the people in their actual lives. Women do sometimes enter into relationships with a private vision for the future and how they want to grow as a couple. This leads to unmet expectations that were never communicated properly. Yes, this happens. I dated a girl once who was extremely complacent with the status quo and her stagnant state ended up being a deal-breaker for me, so this isn't quite as one-side as you might think it is. Personally, I think the beauty of relationships is when a couple grows together. Men, just like women…

Yes, I think so. I have traveled a lot around the US, and I have met a lot of people. Most people are good people. When women complain about there not being enough good men, they usually either have standards that are too high, bringing adversarial energy to initial interactions with men that sabotage the foundation of a relationship, or they are inadvertently chasing the wrong characteristics in men (despite most people being good, there are still plenty of bad men out there to choose from).

You are probably overestimating how important I value this factor to be. It's not a deal breaker if the woman has had previous sexual partners, so long as she is still able to healthily bond. Given all other factors being equal between two women, the virgin has a significant advantage. Think about it like with girls and their preference for tall men. Is a shorter guy outright excluded from her pool? Probably not (generally speaking). If his value as a mate is close enough to another candidate, w…

It seems like you really want me to be condoning objectifying and exploiting my partner, which is not at all what I'm saying here. I'm not a big fan of waiting until marriage to have sex. I understand your perspective and recognize that it is a valid approach for you to find a fulfilling relationship; I am asking that you consider my point in good faith to do the same. I'm not a Christian, but I do understand that there is an overlap of views there. Also, I actually don't have a distaste for a woman who had fucked someone else. I just want a partner who will grow with me, and that includes sexually. I also recognize that certainly there are virgin women who simply would not take that journey with me. My comment isn't a cop out. I just know what kind of relationships I value most.

I understand why you feel that way given your experiences. I'm glad you found some good lovers and discovered a dynamic that works for you. I do want to point out that a man taking on the leadership/teacher role doesn't mean he shouldn't be open to and implement feedback from his partner. A good man will want to learn what his partner responds to. It doesn't have to be a one-way street. 😉

People are different and there are many various paths they can take to be fulfilled. In terms of building a relationship, I think the one I described above is quite valid for certain people. If it doesn't resonate with you, that's fine.

This is a thing for some guys, so I get where you're coming from and I understand why you feel that way. Surely there are guys who prefer a virgin for other reasons too, though? I challenge you to read my comment earlier in this thread that provides a more wholesome perspective.

Here's the thing: what a lot of guys want is for a woman with whom they have already developed the foundation for a loving and caring relationship to bond strongly with them through sex. Sex is a journey, and trying out different things and finding out what is fun and getting better at it through practice is a delightful activity of growth with a committed partner. The fantasy is to do this with a virgin, not because she (as some feminists would clam) "doesn't realize how bad you are in bed," bu…

I don't think men talk about how sex with their partner is as much as women do. I don't think they should start, either. Men should, however, recognize when the sex is bad, use communication to try to make sex more fun and exciting, and dip if their partner doesn't want to.

Not sure if this counts, but I broke up with a girl who gave me amazing sex all the time because she was stagnant. I wanted a partner to build a life with. She was happy with the status quo so long as the bills were paid and wanted to scroll on her phone all day outside while smoking cigarettes.

There is definitely a movement for men to decenter women in the self-improvement and red pill communities. This kind of backfires on women since it results in delegating women to a background role of casual sex when paths cross and the circumstances are right. It promotes hookup culture by turning women into random sex encounters since relationships (should be) are a very intentional thing. And yes, I know that women have their own version of this when decentering men - this isn't meant to be ta…

Speaking as a man who loves submissive women, I think you're right about a lot of what you said, but I want to clarify an implication that seemed to be inherent in your post. You stated that women no longer need to be submissive and adore men with worship. It's not that someone like me wants women to be locked into this as a need, to be trapped into dependency. Feminism is infected with widespread misandry that brings out the worst in women. A large reason why dating sucks is because of the epidemic of selfish, uncaring women who treat men poorly. There's two sides to the coin.

There is a difference between the upper class who isn't burdened by these social issues and the mass of average men who are just as locked out of the board rooms of these institutions as women have been. As far as men just now getting some influence in the realm of social issues? Yes, that is new, small, and already being attacked.

I disagree. This applies to enough women that it needs to be pointed out and shamed. If it doesn't apply to you, don't worry about it. The fact is, though, that it's a large part of the reason why so many economically successful women are single, and it's causing social issues.

Here's the thing: women have strong institutional power, money, and momentum talking about their issues. This is a good thing for their more valid concerns. Men are only now gaining similar traction, but it is significantly lesser, is taken less seriously (often mocked and victim-blamed), and is met with resistance from feminism due to either misandry or a zero-sum mentality. The problem is that a significant portion of women have decided to bounce around between desperate men and players who offer only money and sex since those relationships demand very little from the women. It is parasitic behavior, and many women fall into complacency, not developing themselves into well-rounded people. This is a socially detrimental phenomenon that women collectively refuse to address because of "muh sisterhood."
/r/PurplePillDebate02/12/25 11:54 PM

To a certain extent, I agree. Nonetheless, women are more fickle in following through on commitment than men are once the commitment has been made. This is resulting in less instances when men commit.

Some women want to be chased and want pursuit even after they say "no." Some women are hoes and want a purely sexual connection. A lot of women like you don't seem to realize that when you encounter men who do these things, they're trying to feel out if you're playing the same game that they're trying to play. They don't give a fuck if you're not since the next girl will. If you reject them with hostility or defensiveness, they'll throw it right back in your face.

Very interesting take. Thanks for sharing. I would argue that women are not inherently loyal, though. It's a minor thing in the larger context of the point you're making, I know, but I challenge you to consider it when you have time. All valid. That said, I think you may be minimalizing the depth of the psychological and emotional torture a lot of men go through specifically because of their gender. The pressure to perform hits differently. The constant need to sacrifice chips away a lot over enough time. The thing is, women have absolutely refused to admit this, and men believed their denials. You're right, it does make sense, and it's recently been the subject of a paper by Easkwick, Sparks, and Finkel. Women value looks just as much as men, but they downplay it's importance more than twice as much as men do.

That's okay. Everyone is on their own journey. They'll get there when they're ready to. Thanks for bearing witness. 😁

Living is not the same as optimizing. Aim for 7 hours minimum, 8+ hours as a standard.

I'm not saying that you should avoid discomfort in the pursuit of bettering yourself. I'm saying that chronically being sleep deprived is self-sabotage, and the idea that you're being more productive by engaging in such a practice is delusional and short-sighted. Too many people think that suffering automatically equates to something of value.

I'm talking about spirituality and transcendence here. The red pill is about how we are biologically wired and/or how modern society has stimulated particular neural developments to a critical mass point where we have to recognize and guard against the resulting phenomenon. Men and women don't have to be shit, but, sadly, most are. TRP is about maneuvering that reality. Edit: Also, to add on, red pill guys can be shortsighted dickheads too. We're not a monolith 😅

Fuck it, I might as well go full metaphysical on this one. Women need men for the same reason men need women. The masculine and feminine are two complimentary opposites of an immutable force found in the cosmos. Through unification (selflessness being the key), we humans can reconnect with Divine love and transcend the dualistic nature of the material reality we currently find ourselves in.

Bro, I say this with kindness, but if you feel like a brooding, unwanted asshole when you're single, you should work on that. Become someone you're happy to be, regardless of outside validation. You can do it!

Sleep is so important. OP's post is downright dangerous. Don't exhaust yourselves, people.

That's called MGTOW, and, apparently, it's so hateful that it needs to be banned across multiple platforms. You just exposed yourself, bigot!

Consider that perhaps women are so good at validating each other's feelings and promoting feelgood vibes amongst one another that they inadvertently cover up each other's faults, thus resulting in a plethora of basic, boring bitches.

I don't think men are angry at women so much as they tired and fed up at how selfish and uncaring women are, especially if that sabotages a relationship where the whole idea is that both parties focus on what they can give to support one another and trust that that person also has their best interests in mind.

Nah. I'm happy with the path I've chosen to walk. Women just kinda suck.

You know, I kinda suspect that a large reason contributing to modern dating woes is that people don't really know how to love anymore. Love is something that you build by finding someone who matches your values and intentions to unify. Love is selfless. It's partnering with somebody that you trust, and then each person thinking about what they can do to support their partner, finding joy in giving. It's trusting your partner that even through disagreements that person still has your best interes…

The average person is so far beneath the more developed people that this worldview isn't untrue. This isn't to say that all human life doesn't have the same intrinsic value, but let's be real, there are some among us who are just better people than most.

It is, but it's in terrible taste. "Haha, men make terrible husbands and make their wives miserable!" "Haha, those husbands should die!" "Haha, you go girl!"

65% of intimate partner violence (including all non-homicide violence) is dirrcted at women. I wonder how much that statistic would be skewed if we magically included all the women who poisoned their husbands and got away with it...

Men also do emotional labor, and it is largely unrecognized. Look up "emotional compression."

Aw, this is so cute and wholesome! You both are arguing, but without vitriol, and you're expressing tiny concessions to signal receptiveness and respect. Love is in the air!!!

The point is that women aren't realizing that their interactions with men are getting skewed, they walk away with a worse impression of men as a whole, and their messaging/attitude becomes more hostile towards men, pushing the ones who are listening further away. A lot of men who are involved in the current gender discussion are aware of this, but the women are not. Women need to wake up to this phenomenon before it can be rectified and fixed from both sides.

Boy oh boy are you out of touch with the male experience. That's okay, but take into consideration that men are reporting this as something we are encountering.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 12:40 AM

It was fine as it was. I was just highly amused by my own confusion and wanted to share and say thanks for that moment, Queen!

Nah, then we'd be apologizing all the time for doing nothing other than putting our best effort forward, sending out the mating call, and seeing who responds. Women need to get over the fear that men might suddenly freak out over the smallest thing like a rejection. We shouldn't change our approach to include "I'm not one of those" since it will undermine us, and frankly most women wouldn't believe us anyway if they're that paranoid.

I am not saying the following to excuse modern women (collectively) from any accountability for the current situation, but... Women's dating pool has been skewed for the worse these days compared to before. A lot of men have checked out of dating. The apps are borderline useless for men and are a huge drain of time, energy, and emotional endurance. IRL men have been told not to approach women, especially at work, the gym, and the grocery store. The "better" men, the ones with more intelligence a…

Be flirty. Be playful. Be that way with all the women, not just the ones you're interested in dating. Be excited to see each of them as a new interaction begins. Be comfortable being silly. Tease them lightly. Call them out on their bullshit with a warm, friendly tone and a smile on your face.

Okay, yes, there are men who think like this, but I am reminded of a talk given by a prostitute I watched about how so many men were seeking companionship and connection, not necessarily sex. In my own personal experience, I have found "hot" fit women to be more fun in bed, but I definitely go for the deeper connection regardless of if that's part of the package. I want to point out that if you're looking at this group of men who "settled" cynically, you're probably lumping in a lot of happily m…
