I thought the guy I responded to meant he would start his life again as a gay person so if he's older than 18 which he probably is means he's definitely not gonna have a childhood out of a fairytale. I agree that these are societal problems and that we are progressing.

I have lived in an area with lots of gay bars and made lots of gay friends so I know quite a bit about their lives. First you'd have to assume the "process" of being accepted by others but mostly by yourself won't leave you with some huge mental problems which will follow you forever. Shit is really hard when your teenager mind can keep telling itself "no, I'm not gay at all, that would be disgusting" even though you've been watching only gay porn for years.
