A spoon isn't capable of wanting to be called a fork. Reducing an entire person's entire identity down to something as simple as a spoon, and referring to it as a mental illness, in order to make an analogy work is all the proof anyone needs to see you're not capable of having an intelligent conversation about such a complex topic.

Comparing a spoon to someone's entire identity to make a point. Yeah, that's equivalent.

Yeah, I'm an enabler because I see nothing wrong with her taking advantage of a bunch of "betas" as you like to call them. Goes back to three original point: there's nothing wrong with the game other than some people get upset because reasons.

You've got issues, man. If what this woman does with her time bothers you this much, you should find another hobby. Especially considering her doing this has literally nothing to do with you.

I'm wasting nothing. There are no mental gymnastics. That phrase is thrown around on here a lot. The difference is she's not selling her actual body. It's not semantics at all. There's a huge difference.

Agree to disagree, I guess. They might be hurting themselves financially, they might not.

I call her a stripper? It's not being a white knight. But saying a girl that shows cleavage on twitch for donations is the same as a woman that has sex for money is ridiculous.

That's exactly what it means. Their body at no point becomes someone else's to do anything with. They aren't selling their body. They're selling the opportunity to look at it. There's a monumental difference.

Who's to say that's what they want, though? I'll never understand the motives of these people, but I won't judge them for them as long as they're not hurting anyone.

But she's not selling her body in that sense. That's not what that means. That's not what any of this means.

There's a level of personal touch with cam girls that you don't get with porn. With a cam girl, you can get a personalized, private show. Not gonna happen from some random video on PornHub. Some guys feel that's worth their money. I don't agree with them, but I won't fault them for that mentality. Everyone wants to feel special, I guess.

Thinks a woman that shows skin on Twitch is a whore Calls people cucks when they challenge their stupid, unfounded opinion You got me, bro. You totally got me.

You're making a ton of assumptions there, pal. It's okay though, there's nothing I can say or do to you that life hasn't already at this point. Keep on fighting the good fight, or something.

There it is. That's what I was waiting for. Who hurt you?

Today I learned you can't make comparisons between two things unless they're exactly alike. Both make money with their body. Both have a limited time to do so. Neither are whores.

Then how are they like medical human guinea pigs for science that sacrifice their body for money because they have no other skills? That's not what the person was saying. Their argument was poor, but I was the one doing mental gymnastics. I never said they were sacrificing their bodies, simply they had a limited time to use them.

Again, at no time did I say that they do comparable work. I simply stated that what they do for money requires their body. That body won't work/last forever. They're taking advantage of it while they can. It's a perfectly acceptable comparison in the context of the argument. Strippers and cam girls are no different. Eventually, their body will get to a point they can't do it anymore. This type of twitch streamer is no more of a whore than day laborers. In other words, they're not whores, and the…

Yeah, no. The fact that you keep (erroneously) calling her a whore and insulting what she does for a living very much illustrates your opinion of her.

So she's not sacrificing her body for a paycheck, or she's sacrificing her body for money because she has no other skills? Which is it? You're not good at this, man.

There you go, calling her a whore again. She's using her body as a means to an end to provide a service. That service is entertainment and, in some cases, validation. The service could be seeing her body, the service could be saying their name and giving them attention. I don't understand the attitude you have that you think you're better than her in some way, though. It's silly.

At no point did I compare what they did in terms of "importance to the infrastructure." I compared that it simply required a certain physicality that doesn't last forever. The only mental gymnastics going on here are you trying to make my argument into something it isn't.

But that is the part I was saying: the men wanting something from women is never going to change. It's built into our biology (outliers notwithstanding, of course). It's not that it's just always been done that way. It's that it will always be that way. Men spending money because women show their body is certainly a better alternative to what used to happen commonly (and still happens, unfortunately).

She's providing entertainment. That's a service. Her body won't look like that forever, so she's using it to make money while she can. Much like masons, welders, and lumberjacks, eventually they won't be able to physically do it anymore.

Tradition for tradition's sake is terrible, I agree. But, traditionally, women have something that men want. What that thing actually is covers a huge spectrum of things. If a guy thinks it's worth his time and effort and money to pay for a woman's attention, that's his prerogative.

Wearing a certain style of clothing so people give you money makes you a whore? She's not sleeping with all of her viewers. She's no more of a whore than anyone else that uses their body for money. Ya know, like day laborers. Edit: Because apparently saying she uses her body for money like day laborers automatically implies that she's as skilled as one. The comparison is simply that they use what they have to make money, and what they have is their bodies. One uses their bodies to provide manual…

Whether it's healthy or not is based on the individual. Sometimes that's enough for someone to break out of a slump. Not everyone is going to be a winner though. Some people just want to get some instant, shallow gratification. I can't fault an attractive woman for using what she has while she can to make money with it. This isn't about psychology when referring to "the game." The game is simply they have something people want. The debate on the psychological implications of a capitalist system …

People have been taking advantage of people since time immemorial. It's not our job to police everyone's morality or sense of what costs too much. If some kid (I don't actually generalize the viewers, the people with the opinions on it are making claims of who watches this type of streamer) feels it's worth spending $4.20 or $69 to get an attractive woman to say their name, who am I to say it's not? Life will teach them any hard lessons if there are to begin with.

How have they ruined twitch? Do you have to watch them? Are you forced to view their channel?

Don't even hate the game. They have something that people want, and are willing to pay for it. Getting the attention of an attractive woman can be very important to guys with low self esteem, or prepubescent boys, or whatever group we're generalizing as her viewers. If I were built like her, I'd do the same exact thing. There's no shame in using your assets to make a living. People do it every day. Some people are great at business. Others great at content creation. Some people are great at driv…
