I would actually argue that the vast majority of women I've slept with did not want to have sex with me right at the beginning, because very few people generally are receptive to an absolute stranger going "hey, wanna fuck?" Most sexual encounters are the result of people deciding at some point in a non-sexual interaction that they want to bang. That's not weird.

The SES is often used for these things, and it's got one glaring problem - it talks about coercing a woman into intercourse. The line between convincing and coercing is very, very narrow, and you can't really reliably in a survey format catch that nuance.

There's a very specific reason I didn't mention trades work - some jobs are more well-paid because they involve danger or physical work, which is more complicated. I completely agree with everything that you're saying. I don't think it's a zero-sum game at all. When you talk to women on a lot of these issues, they'll often say that men's issues are men's to solve - and you know what?
