| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Causation actually. Initially empathised with you but your hostility towards me drove me away. Not a gift at all, it’s no surprise that being rude to people leads to them failing to sympathise with you. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 11:50 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I agree with that second point a lot. A lot to be learned from those at different stages of the process. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 03:04 AM |
| -1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.As I said, I figured this conversation might lead to controversy so I was ok with it being removed as I didn’t intend to stir up the group. Sadly the levels of hostility from some people was far more than I’ve experienced from other communities. That being said there were a couple of people who I empathised with, saw their perspective and appreciated their argument so in that sense I’d consider it a success. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 03:02 AM |
| -1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I initially was. Given your opinion of me and the nature of our discussion I don’t believe you would have accepted any help even if I had offered it so it seemed futile. You have had a lot of troubling stuff happen to you which is bound to make it hard to trust the word of strangers. That being said your aggressive nature may well be why it’s hard for people to empathise with you. However I’m not going to try and psychoanalyse someone over Reddit. You lashed out at someone far too quickly who tr… | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 03:00 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Going out on a limb here but being hostile is one way to not be able to have a conversation. I’ve had good talks with other members of this group who have provided good reasonings, regardless of my personal stance. Sadly you’ve not been one of them. Good luck with it all | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:57 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Thank you for the response. Incredibly informative and this was pretty much the ideal answer I wanted out of this thread. Hope everything goes well :) | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:55 AM |
| 1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.It happens, it’s all good. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:52 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I am inclined to agree. Even within the community there seems to be quite polarising views of various extremes. I had hoped to gain something of use which a couple of helpful people have provided so I’d consider it a moderate success. If I’ve broken any rules then yeah delete the thread I guess. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:20 AM |
| -2 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. Not trolling at all if I’m being honest. Having a different opinion doesn’t qualify me as a troll. Yeah I’ll probably get banned for disagreeing which is what I assumed would happen with this thread anyway. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:18 AM |
| 1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. Those were all from today, many of which never actually sent due to doing ‘too much’. To say I frequent this subreddit when I’ve commented on posts only in the last few hours is ridiculous. Find a copy of the time stamps for those posts by all means. Clearly this discussion isn’t going to be productive | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:16 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.People disagree in life about many things, does that mean we shut down communication with everyone we disagree with? That’s how Echo chambers form in social media. I haven’t condemned you for your philosophy. I said I don’t agree with it, but was interested in hearing your reasons for it. You chose to elevate it to a negative conversation when I don’t think it needed to be. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:14 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I can respect that, if it is a lifestyle that works for you and doesn’t negatively impact others then I can’t fault that at all. Best of luck with it all | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:10 AM |
| -1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. It’s sad that you can’t believe that I have genuine empathy for what you went through. Hopefully you can see that I genuinely am sorry for what you went through. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:10 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I see, do you believe that it appeals to divorced men because they’ve been through it once so are apprehensive about trying it again? Interesting, do you think that the feelings and actions of your previous girlfriend is a trait that all women share? Currently I am in an incredibly happy relationship and find the concept a little alien if I’m honest, particularly due to having incredibly close relationships with several key women in my life. However circumstances can change so who knows. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:08 AM |
| 1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I must say that was a rather persuasive viewpoint you provided. I personally am glad that you admit that this life approach is one that suits you specifically rather than a one size fits all approach that should be adopted by men in general. When I meant values I meant ones within this subreddit particularly relating to the subject matter as opposed to external opinions about politics and religion etc. Given your situation, where you seem to be perfectly happy with your life, do you think that y… | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 02:04 AM |
| -11 | Science says: Millenial women much more likely to cheat than Millenial menSorry I’m going to have to go with statistics on this one. Also a fellow supporter of your group used this statistic to make the point that women cheat more, yet you want to disregard it. I understand that perhaps in your walks of life you’ve seen women cheat more than men. Personally it’s relatively balanced from my anecdotal experience so I’ll stick with the statistics probably. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:58 AM |
| -5 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. Thanks, parts of that response were really informative so I appreciate you taking the time to explain areas of the group that are harder to research. I won’t get into my personal thoughts about the idea of a ‘functioning brain’ as I didn’t come here to argue. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:57 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Thanks for coming along for the ride. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:54 AM |
| -2 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. This is my first time actually appearing on this sub-Reddit as a simple look at my post history would tell you. I came across this subreddit just this evening. Again, not sure why you defaulted to hostility when I was trying to take an interest into reasonings. It’s easy for lots of people who disagree with a perspective to shut themselves away from it, something I try not to do. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:53 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.May I ask why the need to automatically go on the offensive? I’ve simply said that the lifestyle isn’t something I personally agree with, just like I’m sure there are elements of mine that you would disprove of. I’m not going to tell you how to life your life, nor have I attempted to. I merely was enquiring as to the reasons behind your decision. Thank you for at least responding to that aspect of my post. I do not believe myself to be more morally virtuous, I just find it interesting to underst… | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:51 AM |
| -2 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.I’m sorry you had to go through that. Those are several life events I wouldn’t wish on anyone. Whilst I don’t necessarily agree with the outcome of your reviews I’m glad you were able to provide some personal motivations. Cheers | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:49 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Thank you! I appreciate the response. I fully support that reasoning in that case. If you found yourself becoming unhappy with this life approach (not suggesting you will) would you change elements of it? | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:46 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Had hoped to gain a little bit more from this exchange but nonetheless I’ll move on. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:45 AM |
| -3 | Reasoning behind your decision to join.Views are researchable. Hearing about someone’s personal and internalised reasoning for joining is not as easily researchable and is probably best promoted by a thread. I’m not asking for the main point of the group, I’m asking why someone like yourself chose to subscribe to this ideal and if there was a particular moment or event that initiated it. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:43 AM |
| 0 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. The sidebar doesn’t tell me about the thought processes of individual members, just some of the ideas and values of the community. I’d be interested in hearing yours although I’m surprised you instantly resort to hostility. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:41 AM |
| -1 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. Not actually a lady. Quite amusing that you perhaps automatically assume that I’m a woman because I’m against the idea of this group. Secondly, where did I infer it was a cult, I merely inferred it was a group with certain ideologies that seem to regularly reference their own expansion. Therefore I was merely enquiringly about the policies of this ‘expansion’. | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:40 AM |
| -7 | Science says: Millenial women much more likely to cheat than Millenial menThe percentage in the article is 1% higher? How are all women supposedly cheating when the very article used to support the claim suggests that the difference is minuscule and that women cheat at a nearly similar rate as men? | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:38 AM |
| -4 | Reasoning behind your decision to join. This was the sort of response I figured I’d get where you didn’t really contribute that much? Surely there is more to your decision to commit to the ‘movement’ than having a supposedly functioning brain? Doctrine perhaps isn’t the right word, however I hadn’t seen many posts that rejected the values commonly associated with this post so I wondered if there either weren’t any or if they were deleted. Plus I felt my answer may have fallen into some of your categories which would warrant removal. I… | /r/MGTOW | 24/01/18 01:34 AM |
