There are many kind of racing, and some without brakes... Risk-taking is probably one of the reason, but not the only one. Men are also more competitive, better at spacial stuff, have more to gain (status)... On the other hand, women have an adventage for car-racing because of their size. Almost all F1 drivers are below 70Kg. While there have been a few succesfull women in auto-racing, there never was any in motorcycle-racing.

I have red that study about drivers passing female cyclists closer, it was utter bollocks. I'm really carefull when overtaking cyclists, and seldom notice their gender because there are a lot of other things happening fast. The reason we evolved taste and smell is to avoid eating rotten food, and the nose is quite good at it. The first page asks questions you tippically find in short autism tests, the kind you make to know if a real diagnosis is worth it, and I'm not doing any more of those. Up to 2022, they had one where male disadventage was theoretically impossible to highlight: 0 points was maximal female disadventage (female doing statistically worse, like the "gender pay gap), 100 points was equality (female doing statistically equal OR BETTER than men). Being diagnosed is always a good thing, as long as you don't use it as an excuse for not making any efforts or for being an asshole. Having a diagnosis, you can still stay in the closet with most people if you can mask well enough.
