you've just described 'company frequency'. Pilots have time to kill, so mid-air we tune in to dedicated frequencies on our 2nd radio and just banter, talk shit and give each other a hard time. Once in a blue moon a girl will chime in, but generally it's a good ole boys club. I'm lucky to be in one of the few professions where fraternizing happens regularly.

Yup 300k for captains maybe 150k for first officers , thing is you usually need 500hrs on type (ie boeing or airbus) to be an FO. By the time you have 500hrs on type in the US on an airframe like that, you've already made it ,so to speak, and a relocation hardly makes sense. Good thing is it's driving wages up and a great plan B

If you wanna do, you gotta want it bad and start sooner rather than later. It's an all encompassing commitment, and the civilian route has it's difficulties, namely getting the required certificates and hours in a reasonable ammount of time without going broke. There is an oversupply of candidates for the good jobs but a shortage actually for the entry level low paying jobs (even these have experience requirements beyond flight school however). As far as trades go, Don't be a pilot; 4yr degree, 2 yrs of Flight Training( 60k extra) 2 yrs of flying experience at near minimum wage and you finally get an airline gig with a regional making 35k/year and waking up at 4am in Podunk , Indiana in the middle of winter. Delta, American, United MIGHT give you a call after 10 yrs or so in the game. It's a huge gamble. What the hell was I thinking?

Being fully present, having a strong moral code, integrity, treating people with respect, these are all good traits that are esteemed in society, and may CORRELATE to getting more pussy IF it comes from a place of strength. But to suggest that women value those traits and are aroused by them I think doesn't fit the evidence. I had gyno and dropped the 8k to fix it. I don't regret it one bit. The scarring is minimal and girls don't really care either way. The thing it changes is how shirts fit and my willingness to walk around shirtless and feel comfortable in my skin, which is a fundamental to personal wellness. I'd recommend it if you can swing it. I've been taking the perspective lately that when attempting to bed women, to realize they are little more than zoo animals. It's a world of difference existing as a fat person versus fit. I used to feel invisible at best and disgusted by myself at worse. Now I noticed some girls eye fuck me and it really is worth the hard work. The mind adapts slower to the changes that the body and the legacy of that trauma is taking some time to dissolve. To each is own. Some men are more aware of thier body and feel it's a reflection of thier character than others. While I agree that's it's not necessary to get the procedure done if you are at home in your body and cool with it, I caution men on accepting fate as reality, when the case is as it often is, society coercing you into a position Of weakness. you are given the means to correct it if you feel necessary. What region did you move from / to? I don't think guys give enough credence to the demographic influences on the market, because I've had vastly differnt experiences in the various cities I've lived. I'm relocating for a job in 2017 and have lots of choices (chicago, Minneapolis, detroit, denver, salt lake city, portland, Phoenix and west coast) i don't wanna pigeonhole myself into a sausage fest of a city.
