Rather than growing up and trying to improve themselves they embrace bitterness and don’t attempt to grow as people. It’s sad. Everyone deserves to be loved, but when you’re that hateful and insecure it sabotages your ability to have meaningful relationships. And some of them are just garbage people.

In the US pretty much every state has laws allowing non police to detain people if they are in the commission of a felony. It’s why a store clerk can hold a robber at gunpoint, why a security guard can put a drunk brawler in cuffs, and so on. Varies by state, but it’s usually on the books in some form.
