100%, hook ups are certainly not a good goal lol
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:30 PM

Ok, so you wear sexy clothing as often alone as when going out?

good point
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:10 PM

"I can want to feel confident and sexy" ok so that's the reason - you think the outfit is worthy of eliciting sexual feelings in others and you want others to see the outfit, making them feel that the outfit, you, or a combo of you and the outfit are sexually attractive
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:08 PM

True, you may not be worked up—but you did claim that an opinion is held by just one person, even though that opinion clearly is held by many men. So just a basic error. True, my second paragraph wasn't especially related to your comment but more about the topic overall.

Though I'm not red pill, it's obvious that every action a human takes has a cause - we are not above cause and effect. It's often hard to understand our actions, but that doesn't mean they are random. It's like if a caveman looks at a car coming towards him, assuming that the car is moving itself, because he doesn't see the driver
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 09:00 PM

How can it "only mean something to him" if you are seeing this opinion so commonly that you're worked up about it? Clearly it is at least somewhat widespread in the communities you're looking at/involved in. I am not personally saying that women's expectations are inflated. I think that women often adjust their standards anyways at around 25-32 as needed to find a partner for their family. So it's really just young people's dating issues we're talking about anyways

Absolutely—in the end, marriage is the best arrangement for everyone IMO. But in the 1, 5 or even 10 years of regular dating, there is a lot going on before then. And both men and women are often looking for different things before they want to ultimately settle down

Normally not, but it's lots of sex with no strings attached - and can also be high quality since it's repeated and there's rapport
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 08:33 PM

It's a subjective question fundamentally so obviously they can't give you an objective answer.

what about FwB scenarios?

Yeah men are often overcome with wanting sex, and some of them get it when they want, and others don't

Where did you get that notion? Just because 1 thing (sex in this case) is highly valued by someone, doesn't mean it's the only thing that they value. Women value hygiene in a man, but that's just one thing.

Having sex 5 times with 5 women will always be seen as more desirable to a man than having sex 10 times with the same woman—and while sex is generally better with a long-term partner, it's still easy to justify the value of sex with different women. For one, each sexual encounter is far more memorable.

I agree. I think, in the actual real world, men and women both lower their standards at a certain point, just in different ways. For women, they lower their standards if doing so is the only way to find a long-term partner to have a family with, some time around 25+-ish

I think that's because you don't understand the perspective of a man on the dating market. I definitely understand your perspective that dating should be a fun activity, and I personally never expected to jump right into bed with any girl. In the cases where I was interested in a serious relationship, I would have waited a long long time if needed. But when dating is full of rejection, it starts to feel like an interview very quickly—ie. you can be rejected at any moment based on something you s…

What makes you consider that to be "forcing"? If I go on the internet and say "People should vote for democrats because of policy X, Y and Z"—is that me "forcing" them to vote for a democrat?

well obviously anyone, man or woman, would want the best mate they can get, assuming that mate is happy to be with them
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 07:28 PM

Because from the men's perspective, you're creating an environment where the men who work harder are less likely to get something desirable than the men who are working less. Naturally this would be frustrating to anyone
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 07:27 PM

It's more that some men on the internet believe that women's expectations in today's culture are inflated, which is certainly possible.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 07:24 PM

where is this "forcing" happening?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 07:20 PM

Well obviously they would like that - as a man it'd be insane not to want a woman who is more attractive, a better cook, more loving etc. to pick and marry you. The same would obviously be true for any individual woman

"Most guys get red pilled by their [attempts to manipulate] women" - fixed for you
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 02:40 PM

No - attractive men are probably the *most* likely category of person to be considered manipulative, by both men and women (except maybe people with indian accents over the phone) You're also speaking as if it's impossible as a mid man to simply not lie to women. Wild stuff

why
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 12:22 AM

It's perfectly fine, regardless of attraction, if you don't actively manipulate the girl in the situation

I think you said it yourself when you mentioned that the women's perspective is rooted in the fact and/or perseption that the "friendzoned" men are lying/manipulating them. It is perfectly fine to get to know a woman and then later ask her out - but it is not ok to manipulate by pretending to be her friend with the primary goal being to fuck her. I think it's a pretty simple idea honestly, which you could understand if you imagine it happening to you. What if your best friend of the last 20 year…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
