Women putting thought, effort, time, and money into buying gifts for their families + spouses and the husbands trying to claim that they were from "Us" or "We" (when they didn't do s***) is one of my pet peaves. Or, when they do get a gift, it is generic and uninspired and they can't even be arsed to wrap it properly

Somewhat unrelated, but one of my quirks is that I'm obsessed with Full House trivia, even though it aired before I was born and I think the show is so old fashioned, lol. Anyway.

I always buy the cheap, bargain brand pads for myself, and my partner will buy me the name brand stuff when I ask him to get me some, lol. That's how I know he's the one.

My heart breaks for Afghan women, especially the ones in Kabul who are modernized and have been able to lead a more peaceful, progressive life in the past two decades. Imagine having that ripped away from you in the span of days. Furthermore, if you look up pictures of Afghanistan, it is a beautiful country. One US solider commented on the disparity between the peaceful, beautiful landscape and the violence around him. Truly a shame.

Ew. Have any of these people considered that maybe women are people?

On today's episode of "what object am I, a woman, today," I am a Ferrari car not intended for every day use. Disgusting.

And when they do do the more day to day tasks, they aren't thorough enough. E.g., move the furniture against the wall to sweep, move objects on the counter to wipe the spot down, fold the towels correctly so you can fit more on the shelf and it looks neater, etc. So, you get frustrated, give up, and just do it yourself until you have a meltdown from having no spare time.

I'm a little bit late to this, but on weekend mornings my husband wakes up before me and leaves me be. When I wake up, I usually text him something like "hi" or "awake" to let him know I'm up, but haven't gotten out of bed yet--usually I like to just scroll through my phone before getting completely up, to help me wake up. I'd say 90% of the time after I send that text, he does what he calls "cat and coffee," where he brings me coffee in one hand and carrying a cat to cuddle in the other. Becaus…

I would have just called an Uber and left. The dude is an adult, he can take care of himself. Or, let his friends deal with him.

She should break up with him and catch the next flight home, if she's able.

Imagine hearing your love's stomach growl and not giving her food. Jesus. OP, please tell me the comments are saying he is the asshole.

Another example of this is rushing you - rushing you out the door when you're trying to get ready for a function, walking ahead of you because he is frustrated with how long you're taking, etc. Borderline abusive. But then when it's reversed, they think it's perfectly ok if they take their damn time.

"Baby will cure any immaturity" You should have a baby because you want and can take care of a new child, not to fix some personal lacking. That's one way to raise a traumatized child.

I had to cut a lot of friends out after reconnecting after the pandemic. Most of them due to being super boy crazy to the point of obsession or just being drama mamas. It's very lonely, but the vibes are immaculate sis.

I got my eyelashes permed the other day (I know we are talking about embracing our natural features here, but bear with me + at least it isn't those 24 mm extensions) Anyway, that location hadn't done a lot of perms, as they were primarily known for extensions. So, the girl performing the service allowed the two other stylists to watch so they would know how to do it. While I was on the table, one of them was like, "Your hair and face is so pretty." cue silence Me: points to myself me? Her: um y…

I have very erm . . . Perky breasts. I had to start wearing a bra at home because my ex would constantly grab that area, pinch the tips, even after I told him to stop because if you do it too much, it's painful. He didn't listen and thought I was just over stating the pain. I'm very cold natured so I usually wear sweatshirts and leggings to chill at home. He would even grab them through the thick sweater material.

"Dark humor" is a huge red flag. More like make inappropriate jokes and/or outright insult you and then gaslight you when you react badly.

I also had the audacity to go for a walk in biker shorts and t-shirt, with no makeup and sunglasses on (not that it matters). Some guy (unsure of age) sat down on a spot i would HAVE to walk past to cross the street and continue my walk. It was some roadway railing by a bayou, not somewhere people normally sit, so clearly he had an agenda. And he just sits there, waiting for me like a creep. Unbeknownst to him, I have no problem stepping into the road to avoid that crosswalk. Hit by a car > hara…

I was about to say, I think the whole look within and question thing is an artifact from a time when womens' best financial prospects were to marry a man.

I was out for a walk the other day and I saw a couple with small children. The man was jogging ahead by about a couple meters and the woman was attempting to jog while pushing her small kids in a stroller. The dude also kept doing things that would be hard to do with a stroller, like jumping off curbs and what not. I eye rolled so hard -- like, help your wife, you jerk! At least take turns or something.

Right? After hearing about it, I was like wow, thank you @ my body for getting sick. I would have hated it and probably would have verbally ripped her a new one in the streets when she wanted to go into the strip club, lol.

Yeah, I dunno. Don't ask me lol Context was it was in a larger group of friends. Girls and guys. Partying in NOLA for SIL's b-day. I was not able to come because I was sick but didn't want husband to miss out.

One of my friends has wasted 2 years of her life on a situationship. She was telling me about it and how he won't commit and I just looked her in the face and said "Really? I wouldn't put up with that s***. You should block him on everything." cue shock at the only logical answer

Yes, it is really upsetting. Among other friends and family, coworkers, etc I am known to be personable but in front of them I just look miserable because who wants to be ignored and forgotten in a corner? Thanks for your advice ❤

Hi, im really sorry you experienced that. But I'm so proud of you, stranger, for trying to recover and manage that trauma ❤ sending you all the love and light. I don't really have a lot to offer that others have not -- therapy, yoga/meditation to strengthen your mind/body connection, plenty of self-care, and relentlessly enforcing boundaries. I hope you find more healing and love out there!

Men, even husbands, can wake up one day and decide to leave you for whatever reason. Degrees, career experience that help you build a living, will never do that. I'm married as well and if it were me, I would have chosen to go. I love my husband but I have to love myself, too.
