So he started a medical residency at 23 yo, which he finished 2 years ago. Which is insane, because that's when most people start medical school. Residencies last for about 4 years, so it looks like he's 29/30 right now. Add on that most debt is from medical school itself, and not the residency (residents get paid <60k per year), and that Indian families are stereotyped to pay their children's education, and he works at a private hospital, I have to guess that he's making bank right now. He'll b…

Adding on to this (for most stand your ground laws), and by using the power of Google Scholar: Given that the assailant is aggressive to you or someone in close proximity, Guy has something in their hands? Appropriate to use lethal force. Guy is reaching into their pocket? Appropriate to use lethal force. Guy is getting closer to you after you've backed up a considerable distance? This usually means you ran away, screaming for help, and the guy still chases you. Appropriate to use lethal force. …

IANAL But how it's supposed to go is to look for video evidence. If there is none, then it'd be your word vs his. If there is evidence of injury/ then there'd also be a police report confirming that these injuries were a result of the aforementioned assault. Both sides would submit their side of the story/ witness accounts, and cross examination would then be used to determine the most likely sequence of events. Depending on the severity of the damages, (physical, property, or otherwise) the jud…

"Residual discrimination" is the term that seems to have been cultivated in USA, which is used to justify this thinking. Which is basically, "women before me had laws that discriminated against them, which they later changed towards equality with civil rights expansion. Today, even though men and women are roughly treated the same, save for a few gendered issues (compulsory military draft-active combat roles, abortion rights, etc) I still face discrimination in the workplace, so give me <advanta…

I guess I'm a little relevant here. My parents were still together when I was born, but my dad died when I was around 8. My mom is a medical professional so none of that "hardship" stuff. She remarried back in '08, and my stepdad is pretty cool. My mom was a feminist at CalState in the mid 80's and to be honest, the only thing she really passed on to me is to be skeptical of what everyone says. So anecdotal evidence, but last generation's feminism doesn't seem to make people hate it

Research it. From the gofundme, it seems this whole affair is in Ca. AFAIK, there is a 3 year time limit for drug abuse in Ca. However, forgery/ fraud does not have time limit. I think misandrists and mysogynists hide in feminism and MHRM respectively. Both groups need to police themselves and it's members to hold to a higher standard. What makes me no longer want to be a part of feminism is how 3rd/ 4th Wave feminism are stuck on "1st World Problems," and only pay lip service to more grievous matters.

Well I'm not necessarily setting rules what the MHRM can/ cannot do: but that kind of sounds like a work-around to stooping to their level. However, I think it's alright to criticize the feminist movement so long as criticisms are based on true things; i.e. Big Red/ feminists pulling down the fire alarm, NOW protesting equal custody rights for fathers, etc.
/r/MensRights30/04/14 02:04 PM

Well yeah, there is always a breaking point for anyone. But I firmly believe that the MHRM needs to hold itself to a high standard to be easily accepted.

Ok I'll bite. If the boy was indeed around 13-14 while bragging about having sex, I might have jumped the gun there. However, this period of sexual abuse started when the child was 8-9. I submit that this boy experienced something akin to Stockholm Syndrome during this 5 year long traumatic experience. Also, if you read my comment, I'm angry that that the author used "bragging" in lieu of a more neutral word. Sex with a child under 16 is still rape.
/r/MensRights18/03/14 11:22 PM
71

An 8-10 year "bragging" about having sex? How the FUCK would a child be bragging about having sex? Most likely, this child was talking to his friends about sleeping with this pedophile and asking for help. this news author just construed his talking as bragging due to the hype that "all men want to have sex." It's shit like this, these little words and phrases in the article that try to justify the pedophile because "he wanted it." This news author is a pedophile-apologist. /end rant

I've used the 2nd argument to great affect (if women were paid less, why are more men hired?) It acts as a great filter based on the answer that is given. The thing is, to achieve the "ideal equality" that you strive for, people would have to be willing to spend more. So that's the cutoff, to find the point where there is no marginal return between spending more and achieving "more" equality

So you mean that rather there being linear scale between the Left and the Right, it's actually more of a circular scale? That the farther left (or right) I go, the more I actually agree with the right (or left)?

So 1 out of 5, sexually assaulted, and 1 out of 40 is rape. Feminists seem to think that because "sexual assault" and "rape" are synonymous, both phrases are the same thing. It's not.

well i do. i just don't want to pay a women a single cent just because she offends me. maybe, if feminism leaks further into life and fully throws equality out the window, then we'll need a more antagonistic response. Then, we'll need to play at their level.

point 1: like others said, get a lawyer fast. odds are, your wife probably got a lawyer already and is making plans to get the most out of this divorce. as a petty revenge, if you guys share a credit card, use that credit card to pay. point 2: You are not the father. if I read this correctly, the step daughter is only 2. if you leave now, your step daughter will forget about you by next year. when "your" second child comes, get a paternity test done that proves you are not the father. side quest…

to avoid talking about the fact that a woman perpetrated this crime. it's misdirection intended to keep the "woman" as the epitome of everything good, pure, "civilized". All the while to keep "man" labeled as a savage beast that succumbs to carnal desires. edit: spelling

Yep. Probably this is the breaking point where there might actually be good change for both genders. There was an earlier post where we would actually help exacerbate this problem, then finally all men would go their own away. (Boycott their "duties") To curb stomp these feminists figuratively.

Yep, if this trend continues, then eventually "feminists" will start spewing that men will have to "man up" and take these risks, have to be a father. Talk about trying to break gender roles for both sexes. /S
