The people in good stable relationships don't go out of their way posting about it and talking about it. They have better things to do. Other people don't even talk about people in good relationships and their relationship happenings. As people, we're kind of drawn to trainwrecks. We like to talk a good deal about things going wrong.

so people shouldn’t be raising awareness to make things right? Go ahead and raise awareness. What exactly would be the alpha way of acting here? I never said I'm an alpha. I'm sure most people fall somewhere in between. I don't know what the best action is here, I only know that online mob behavior is a form of collective emotional manipulation - it's like talking behind someone's back to rile people up against them. If you want to influence people effectively, this is not the way to go. It's …

Personally I find it too undignifying and beta to be a part of an online mob pushing for a person to lose their jobs because of job-unrelated things. Sadly it seems like this is how discourse is carried out nowadays.

First and second wave feminism, perhaps it was about giving choice. Third wave feminism, not at all. How can one "dismantle the patriarchy" and also stay at home and have a provider (patriarch) provide? How can one demand 50% female CEOs and 50% female workforce in everything, but also be in favor of women choosing to stay at home? The math there wouldn't add up

Are they implying there's 2 genders? Are they assuming the 2 individuals' genders? That's transphobic!

Thoughts on prenups? Seems like people here are a bit too uncompromising on this topic.

Can't say I'm a big fan of government being involved in marriage either, or other personal affairs of people. A bit silly for sure

That 50% rate takes into account multiple marriages of people who keep divorcing. Basically a man who married once and stayed marry counts as 1, whereas a man who married and divorced 3 times counts as 3 marriages that ended in divorce. This would make it so 3 out of 4 marriages fail if we were using that sample of people. "3 out of 4 marriages fail!" What people think that statistic means is that within a lifetime of a person they have a 50% chance of marrying and staying married - that's not w…

Perhaps if we all get cancer we can be better advocates for prostate cancer awareness. You sure have some great men's rights ideas, stick around! :)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
