Well I certainly agree, though in some respects, 'fake it till you make it' or the better phrase 'fake it until you become it', can help with that. Like body language and eye contact for example, I did them a bit awkwardly at first until I became confident and saw what worked, but it certainly took field experience to do so. In math it's harder to fake it. :P

What you have are self-esteem problems. Read up 'The Six Pillars of Self Esteem', and learn to find out your worthy of better things.

I can see why you would think that, and I'm not going to go to the trouble to prove you wrong, but that's a pretty defeatist attitude to take. It sounds like you have things to work out about yourself first.

Focusing on yourself and improving yourself 'before you're ready for girls' is one of those stories we tell ourselves to delay. I know I do it. Approach along the way regardless, at worst you'll gain more confidence both in yourself as you continue to improve, and with women as you talk to them more. The statistic is that like 20-30% of attraction comes from looks, the rest is confidence, status, etc.

When I moved out at first, all my friends were in my previous town still, sure it's only about an hour away, but for a while I had to take care of a lot of 'new place' things and couldn't hang out with them. I agree with azbnjg's reply though, just go out and have fun. I try different events around town, check out different bars, etc. You know what you like to do, just go out and do it.

The number one rule is to know you're awesome and sexy as fuck, so I think that's most certainly it!

I let myself get played farther after being stood up when I believed some bullshit excuse. Around the time she talked about the event and used a different explanation for it, I realized she was most likely a liar in general or didn't even care enough to keep her story straight. I learned to move on from that experience. I started interacting with women for the first time in my life only in April but it's been like a trial of fire lol. I didn't expect to be stood up at all, much less in the first…

Happened to me a couple of months ago, it's nearly impossible to not let the person know somehow. A call, a text, something, the chances are low something happened to her phone just at this time. Sleeping in is a shit excuse and you shouldn't put up with it. If she cared enough, she would have planned for it. Move on.

I was 400 pounds and thought all women found me disgusting, it did take weight loss as a first step for me, but generally it was only ever doing anything for myself. I didn't lose about 150 pounds so far to attract women, I don't try hard at work to be successful so a woman finds me rich and ambitious. I do everything because being a better person is awesome. You're awesome, you just need to find that out for yourself.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
