Serious. You do this non overtly to people randomly at a party in a natural way and you'll just be popular.

But girls will want to have their cake and eat it. They are never hesitating about breaking up.

I remember reading that women really just don't want to hear about your problems. It's been true every time. Most of the time they can't handle it, it seems to me. Maybe this is because I'm an upbeat person during bad times and "realistic" during good.

The point is it's always a negative thing to do. If he really wants whatever benefits will come from it he can go ahead, but it's better to avoid opening up like that.

OP seems to be arguing one huge strawman? It makes the point that what this whole subreddit is teaching fairness and trickery. If anything wouldn't the tricks and pick up be better for younger girls? I think it's the older amongst us that shouldn't be using the tricks. When I was sixteen I was using pickup lines on random girls and it was cute. I would go up behind girls and grind on them at homecoming and say stupid things as an opener to talk to girls. No way could I get away with that stuff t…

I'm an adult who agrees. The post is needlessly patronizing as well.

Tell them you just broke up with your ex, or some other excuse, and complain about relationships in general.

Infidelity.

I thought it was a good article. Don't be creepy = act like a normal human being. The author has to start from some base assumption of knowledge, on how to not be creepy can be found elsewhere.

I think this is kind of a bad advice. Women that are friends are golden opportunities for meeting more women. She just has to be a woman who has friends and isn't a total "I'm only friends with guys" type of girl.

Doing it in a respectful way. Cold it's always going to be an uphill battle, albeit a less competitive one.

I think the ultimate key to this is looking at the face and eyes constantly. You have to be interpreting reactions. For me this was something I didn't do because I, like many redditors spend lots of time not interacting with humans. I've found my own biggest disparity between intention vs outcome to be simply because I don't look at faces often enough. Looking for a reaction to what I've said had changed so much, but I'd always forget to do it.

This doesn't help me very much if I've chosen to reject the idea of a god...

I disagree. I would just be respectful.

Touche, didn't mean to sound like a douche. But this is something I think doesn't matter as long as the connection is good. Personally I've gotten rejected from a kiss off the bat and it didn't even matter because I knew it was because the girl already thought I was being cocky.

Honestly splitting the bill has always been my default option. Although, this is because I truly espouse egalitarian values, and have no problem joking about a woman paying for ME so she can be empowered, etc. So maybe will work for you, I don't know.

I've been working on my reading comprehension a lot and everyone knows that writing and reading go hand and hand. It's really means a lot to know that my writing was worth something to another. :)

I was in the exact same situation, cheated on mine and broke up, with her and told her. I stopped taking to her. I really felt horrible. I hate to say it but the "dread game" worked wonders. We have the craziest sex now. I think what happens is your accommodate to her needs and it becomes a snowball of unattractive behaviors to her. Women are turned on buy a guy who's selfish and knows how to get what he wants, it seems.

Read difficult things aloud. When you work on articulation of complex words from books, it helps out a lot. You're vocal instruments need to be practiced like any other instrument.

Most people have boring lives, interesting things are how you frames them. I basically only study and read every day, boring right? After a while I started to believe that because my friends were taking expensive vacation, getting great jobs, and after years when people would asked me what I've been up to I'd tell them the exact same as last time, reading, studying, and going to class. But later I realized hey, I also think about diseases and issues concerning life or death daily, and most of li…

With effort you can usually escalate quickly but the girl is always reciprocating in some way so there's always balance. Desperation is a continued effort without receiving any reciprocation. So this can be effort to talk to each other, make advances, etc. The area where this gets confusing is traditional gender roles vs more contemporary. For example, I'm currently talking to a girl who I can tell expects the guy to make all the decisions, efforts to go out, etc. So I'll call the shots, make th…

No, confidence is intangible to YOU. For women attractiveness is a function of confidence.

I'm sorry, but these types of anecdotes are simply invalid, especially based off of the certainty with which they're reported. Girls can sense confidence. You may have just become more confident.

You're taking what I said out of context. A level of anxiety that prevents you from meeting woman will also prevent you from being alone with them. That's why it's an issue.

Call the anxiety normal if you want, but every has to make quality first impressions in life and be decent on public speaking to get anywhere. Introversion is no excuse for such holes social skills.

This is quite a pretentious post that caters to an introverted fear of social interaction. In this post there has been mostly criticisms of traditional methods, feigning superiority and righteousness. The OP had extracted many extreme versions of PUA concepts and attacked them, while offering little better of a tangible alternative. This post will make many feel better largely because it is deeply uncomfortable to admit to ourselves that we are in form way inadequate, and require improvement. I …

Some things will never be proven by science. I myself have a science degree and have become a bit more dumb in certain areas because I didn't realize that just because something has no empirical evidence, doesn't make it any less true.

Woman are attracted to the manly aura. It's created not by one trait, but a combination of many. From these manifests a aura-like sum of parts, which is much more powerful than the parts individually. Being tall is just a conspicuous mark of manliness, one that often occurs with other desirable traits. Similarly, shortness often accompanies a lack of confidence, and other traits undesirable to a woman. But women aren't analytical. They only know when they feel good or bad. Short men have a tende…

Compliment the outfit (if legitimately good) of an undesirable girl in the group. She'll be delighted and you'll basically be welcome into the group and be more important than any conversation that was going on prior because you're providing something so valuable to her. This allows you to get your foot in the door and just talk about other bullshit you'd normally talk about.
