Honestly yeah. Food and sex lol. Men aren't really materialistic for useless things like flowers. It would be different if it was something permanent and useful that he would be able to use for a long time, like a tool or something related to one of his hobbies, like a fishing rod, Gaming PC, Golf club, Car, etc. But flowers are just a completely useless waste of money that only lasts a few days. (I'd still get them for a girl if she really likes them though) I'm 31 M btw.

I think this is illegal in my country (UK). If it's the same in your country you could get the police involved to stop the cyber bullying.

Sounds like he was stringing you along for sex and the time limit on that good deal for him was running out (the wedding) so he finally broke it off. He might have loved you in the beginning, but he could have realised at any point he wasn't going to marry you and stayed with you for years just for the easy access to sex. Assuming you were having sex regularly. If you were waiting for marriage then I've got nothing and would be more inclined to believe him at face value. I'm 31 M fyi.

I'm 31 M. He's probably just using you for practice and not serious about you because of the age gap. When I say practice, at that age even just talking to you and flirting is good practice for him. It's like playing house over the phone. I did it a lot with older women when I was that age as well. Young guys don't get that many opportunities for 'practice' and it's kind of easier to have those kind of flirtatious friendships with older women.

Damn, that's really bad. Don't have any advice. Just sorry this is happening to you.

The way to avoid that situation is to tell the man you're not having sex until marriage. This achieves two things that benefit you. The men who would have used you for sex will instantly vanish, letting you pursue other options. You get half of his stuff if he does leave you after marriage. Which is another reason the non-serious men will vanish instead of wasting your time, the cost for the man is extremely high. I'm a man fyi. The caveat to that is that from the man's perspective he might not …

Ye I just read the article. But it's written from the perspective of a man who is a player, has slept around and has a lot of confidence with women. I bet he's American as well lol. The article states that you don't initiate contact with men as a filter, so that only the most confident men will approach you. That's not going to stop the confident man from using you for sex and dumping you afterwards. And there can still be shy men who have no idea how to approach or flirt that would be serious a…

Just fyi I'm a 31 M. Men can find you pretty and still not want a relationship if you don't match what they're looking for in a wife. Men separate women into sex vs wife material. Basically all women that are pretty will go into the sex category. And very few in the wife material category. And if the guy is traditionally minded even if you're pretty you won't be in the sex category either since he'll be saving himself for either a serious relationship or marriage. (some men only have sex if they…

Is it possible for you to recognise when you're going to have an episode and walk to a seperate area of the house until it's over? If you had a garage you could set it up with a punching bag as an outlet. Just saying because I'm autistic and I occasionally reach the point where I can't control my emotions. I always try to remove myself from other people if possible. And if I can escape to a place with pillows I'll punch the pillows until I run out of energy and feel better. If you could setup an…

My perspective probably isn't that helpful because I'm a man. But I have done exactly this and dated a girl who was amazing personality wise but I wasn't that sexually attracted to her. I didn't even like the way she smelled naturally. So a part of me was always a bit repulsed by her when we had sex. I couldn't love her fully. I will never do that again lol. It doesn't work for me.

Just to give you a male perspective. I'm not introducing my girlfriend to any of my male friends if I can help it. Every time I've done that my friends have cheated with my girlfriend on me behind my back or they've attempted to and the girl has shown me the evidence. It is particularly likely to happen if the male friends are single and desperate. The opposite is true as well when I've been dating girls and they introduce me into their social circles. All of their single female friends compete …

Women focus on the emotional, we can empathize, we pick up on body language and the inflection of one's voice and try and determine what the person actually meant. Men listen to the words. (Men feel free to comment if I left any part out, but I am making generalizations here for both genders.) This was a huge source of frustration and arguments due to miscommunication in previous relationships. I had one ex who would always ask me questions and I'd give straight, to the point, 100% truthful answ…

lol thats interesting because from my perspective 'I love you' isn't a sufficient answer and doesn't answer the question you asked him. It doesn't explain why he loves you (why he would stay in a relationship with you). The answer he gave is explaining WHY he loves you (or why he stays in the relationship with you). It's actually answering the question you asked him. I had to read through all the comments from all the women to find out why you didn't like his answer because it was so confusing t…

FYI, I'm a 27 year old guy with ADHD myself. I can tell you it never goes away or gets easier to deal with. You're born with it and the only way you can mitigate the affects is with an extremely disciplined healthy lifestyle (good diet, exercise, meditation, good sleeping pattern, etc.). The medication has negative side effects so can't be relied on long term. Also the extrovert/introvert problem I think will never go away either as you both just have fundamentally different social needs. Some p…

My sister is 33 and already struggling to have kids (think 90% of her eggs are gone already). In the UK IVF is free up to the age of 35. After 35 years old you have to pay yourself and it's extremely expensive. Because after 35 you're considered geriatric and it's dangerous/low chance of success. If you want kids you kind of have to get a move on immediately because 40 is already too late tbh. But my sister was in a similar position, albeit younger. She knew she was starting to get too old to ha…
