I am also 5'9". My own mom tried to shame me for wearing heels when I went on dates bc I would make my male dates feel "inferior." Like??? Gtfo???? Oh honey yes. One of my exes, towards the end of our relationship, started making subtle comments on my weight. Things like "Im getting a Fitbit to exercise more. You should consider it too." And even ordering me a salad at Olive garden. When I expressed distress over it, he said "Hey now I had a lot of fun on our date and you're freaking out over nothing. Ugh this reminds me of my Hinge days when I broke my back carrying the conversation. And when the Hinge guys and I would hit it off, would set up dates with me.... then a day later unmatch. Reminds me of this that happened recently: I went with my college's dance club to a WCS event over a weekend. It ended up being mainly older people (both make and female) and with my group being the only college-age (freshmen to senior) adults around, definitely a little awkward. Similar thing happened to me in my most recent relationship, which was when I discovered FDS and then dumped him. I feel that last line of your comment "he used me and my caring nature." I was desperately trying to get him to respect me but all he wanted was someone to get his dick wet.
