As someone who lost their father to suicide, please don't. I'd give anything to have my dad back. I wish he could have seen me graduate. There's songs and movies I know he would have loved that I can't show him. Books I want to tell him about. So many questions I want to ask. I'm begging you, tears in my eyes don't.

Unfortunately judges face so little recall pressure along with suits being brought against them, that this is normal.

I hope such a law passes, and that it would also require the kid to be grown before it can be done for non medical reasons. I could easily see parents telling their son he should consent to such a surgery at 10-12 even though he can't really understand the risks.

I get the sentiment, but I respectfully disagree. Women could easily leave a marriage if they aren't happy, and often will come out monetarily very far ahead. Men, with the death of no fault divorce can be trapped in a dead bedroom, where he's still expected to keep earning, and if he divorces, he's going to go through the wringer.

We need to remove judicial and prosecutorial immunity so we can hold our legal system to some level of account.

Even if that were true, war is not inherently unjustified. You could be protecting your people, stopping a genocide, liberating slaves, etc.

The profound DoubleThink in leftist articles like this is astounding. Every war the US has ever been apart of is terrible and such, until they want to talk about X minority helped. Doesn't that make them complicit?

There should be a flow chart on AITA: Step 1. Identify it's between men and women. Step 2. It's the men's fault.

There are de jure and de facto violations of civil rights. De jure violations include things like the Duluth model, how many rape laws are written, the fact that women owned businesses get priority in federal contracts. Then there are de facto violations, which are when the law as written is neutral, but how the government actually applies it is not. Most homeless shelters rely on government funding at least in part. I hope you would see the issue if they were excluding black people, and the res…

Society phrases and views sex generally from a perspective of something that women give to men who always want it. Phrases like "gave him a handjob" vs "got fingered", "let him hit that" etc. A lot of women get used to sex being always "on tap" for them, and rejection isn't something they're used to.

Oh no, Millenials and zoomers can't pay for boomers. What a tragedy, my heart breaks. Isn't the media always telling us that we have too many people, and everything's heading towards collapse? When did the NPC software update come out? Ok, let's say we shrink about 230 million like we were 40 years ago, in the Calvin and Hobbes times. Other than paying for retiree's, which we can move to a pool model for, that would just mean less traffic, smaller cities, kids could have fields again rather than…

You need to get a new attorney, and get documents of everything you can. The attorney should be in your corner with "zealous advocacy". They'll help you start protecting assets, and building the case for more custody. Your scumbag attorney is gonna take your cash, roll over and let her rake you over the coals and keep the kids. Unfortunately you'll likely end up with 50/50 custody first and paying child support, maybe even alimony. This however can be changed over time.

What's always "funny" to me, is how feminists will scream about how important it would be for more female politicians. But the moment a conservative female runs, suddenly that goes out the window. Look, if all you really care about is getting a leftist elected, that's fine. But don't pretend to support female candidates, and then trash every woman right of Lenin.

You really hit the nail on the head here. I've seen this so often where there's this implicit assumption that a statement like that MUST be wrong. A person taking offense couldn't possibly be misconstruing things or being overly sensitive. Exactly, a lot of people are going to have no idea of the terms "top" and "bottom" but the gay and lesbian community use these widely, and have memes and stereotypes about them. It's part of a broader shaming of men's differences. Starting early in life boys are shamed for being more competitive and a need for activity. Instead of being given outlets, they're pumped full of legal speed to hold them still in class. And it continues as he gets older. Check out threads on "male living spaces". Rather than accepting his minimalism, it's again a problem to be fixed.

What's crazy too is that women will often refuse to date younger and in many cases their own age. I've seen plenty of dating ads, where her minimum is older than she is by 5 years, and her max is much older than her. I've met 30 year old women who act like a 25 year old man is a child in middle school. I've seen the "age gap" applied in absolutely insane ways, like condemning a junior/freshman relationship. Like holy shit, they are in classes together.

Even in my small state, if we attribute 60% of mileage to men, the women would in theory having about 55 million miles of driving each of those days. Thinking on it more, it's hard to say how realistic that number is and what traffic conditions would be like. Granted there's now significantly more road capacity, but gas will start to run out as you said. There will also be the fires and looting mentioned.

You'll see a lot on here about how pre-nups are worthless. And they aren't perfect. But according the multiple lawyers who have spoken on this subject on this sub, they can be good. But, they can't come up when there's an impending wedding date. She's needs independent counsel to review it. It won't help with kids. It won't be perfect but something that says you will only pay alimony for a set period of time and nothing above a certain percentage of your taxable income will really help.

The worst example I can think of is Birds of Prey. In the beginning Harley is being a jackass in a club. A dude yells at her, and for the crime of calling her a "dumb slut" she breaks his fucking knees, bending them back. She later kills this man who's now wheelchair bound. There's a couple of really weird aspects of this as well. 6ft is a standard deviation above average. I can't stop you from having a preference, but as a requirement you've effectively ruled out 76-84% of men, depending on the source. Does that strike you as remotely reasonable? Realistically it'd be like men having a weight requirement of under 120lbs. "But I want to wear heels!" Again depending on source the average American woman's height is something like 5'3" to 5'4". If you're 5'3" and your…

I think one of the issues is that a lot of "Grrrrrl! Power" stuff is that it's so on the nose. Take for instance WW vs Captain Marvel. WW was great and didn't feel the need to over make points. Diana simply is a badass. Captain Marvel had to have "you need to smile" scene, and literally use the song "I'm just a girl". And this leads to another issue. Here's the frustrating thing that feminists love to ignore. Almost everywhere, self defense law is based on immediacy. The danger you are defending yourself from has to be imminent. Someone who's threatened you, hurt you, or even tried to kill you IN THE PAST is not legal justification for killing them now. What this comes down to is whether not they want to admit it, is defacto "did they deserve it". Now if you want to openly argue for that, and we can have a real debate, and men can potentiall…

I think this speaks to a larger issue that you need to put your foot down on right away. You had custody of your daughter. But the school withheld information from you. Have they done this in the past? Will they do it in the future? Who else has had this happen to them? What other parental rights will they disrespect?

I'm curious to get an international perspective on this. I have a bunch of anecdotal evidence that goes something like this: Year starts off, and everyone in the women's dorm says about what good friends they'll all be. By the end of the year, most of them hate pretty much all the other women in their dorm except a few. Meanwhile the guys might not be best friends but can get along and hang out with 90+% of the other guys in the dorm. Was this your experience as well?

Tbf, using such language in an offensive way is an absolutely justifiable cause for outrage. Just because you're upset, doesn't mean you have the right to silence someone.
/r/MensRights09/01/14 11:45 PM

Since you did say you were new here, I'll give you an answer. We feel that women already have advocacy to address their issues. Men, as a group, do not. In areas where women truly are disadvantaged, or at least in an unfavorable statistical group; there are plenty of organizations that will fight for women. In areas where men are disadvantaged, the silence is deafening. We aren't claiming to be the be all, end all that feminism does. We are simply looking to address male issues.

Title IX is a joke because it ignores decades of obvious evidence. When is the last time you had a bunch of people over to watch a professional women's basketball game? Probably never. My issue is that most of the MR theory is built to be used in the cultural context of the West post 1960s. But people try to shoehorn it into other cultures and time frames. If an American state got blockaded because of it's policies, this type of report would bother me. Because in America women are equally responsible for our policies. But that isn't remotely the case in Gaza. Women can't even begin to change what the "government" decides to do, let alone the random terrorists who'll defy gov. …

It's pretty simple. Basic counter runs something along the lines of: There are groups that operate under the name of feminism. They receive support from other feminists. Their actions are in fact the actions of feminism. The fact that there is a powerless, voiceless subsection within feminism that doesn't support their actions does not invalidate critiques of feminism as a whole.

Especially since this sr prides itself in allowing dissenting viewpoints unlike almost every feminist space. Not all feminist spaces are like that. Our real world point is interesting. What would you say though about simply having a few good counters available in the FAQ for people to check out as they please? I also don't know if countering it in real life would be anymore effective than it generally is here. It's the conversational equivalent of screaming"LA LA LA! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" To use the defense, you are basically denying that there is actually directed feminist activity and that there is a feminist mainstream.

There are a few gender issues with this. One is disparate impact. Imaginary guns/toy guns are no more dangerous than dolls. However the ban on toy guns will predominately hit boys. It accomplishes nothing to increase safety, yet will punish boys left and right. Like the boy who had the cops called on him for wearing an NRA t-shirt. Let that sink in. This is an issue of disparate impact. A lot of policies appear fair, but will not hit all populations equally. Policies with a disparate impact are justified, IF the requirement is actually necessary to effect an otherwise just policy. Just because women are getting criticized doesn't mean the post or poster is hateful of women. Nor is the critique invalidated because you know a handful of exceptions to the rule. Furthermore, there's a monumental difference than some anon posting something misogynistic and enacting policy.

Think about what GWW wrote. We could have a nice, tone policed space where the slightest misogyny get's smacked down. But to have that you need a mod team that uses a heavy hand. There's a razor thin line between removing a comment that is "bad" and one that the moderator disagrees with too much. Suddenly it just becomes an echo chamber.

Can we stop this? Yes there are plenty of talented male servers out there. But sometimes that's not what a business wants. While there are extreme examples like Hooters, the business isn't doing this out of some deep seated hatred of men. The business is doing it because it thinks it'll be better off with a female staff.

I get what your saying generally and have made a similar case about innovation from questionable (often Nazi) sources. However most ideas are inextricably linked to their source imo. Partly due to sincerity issues which is the topic of this thread. If you have two kids Billy and Tom. Billy broke something of Tom's and you are considering a punishment for Billy. Let's look at 4 different scenarios. Billy says he should be punished because despite it being an accident he shouldn't have been in Tom…

Not necessarily. The source of an idea can matter. Imagine the claim that increasing government assistance for education is good for society as whole coming from two different people. One is a currently broke college student, the other is a mill worker with no kids who never to went to college. The mill worker would see no personal benefit from the increase, thus their reasoning is probably genuine. The college student on the other hand, would benefit personally, and thus could be advancing the …

I noticed you didn't really respond to the Catholic comparison, and it's because you can't. Feminism isn't some little group of unfunded activists who are loosely connected like MRAs are. Feminism has long standing, massively funded organizations. It's ingrained in universities and in the government. Feminism has leadership and enforcers. Women tend to escape punishment for violent crimes which makes them feel free to commit violence against men. That needs to change. I 100% agree. I would say there's a substantial difference between Christians hating homosexuals and the NAFALT defense. Most people who are anti-gay marriage, don't hate gays. So? How does that affect the argument being made? It's not like we have to invent new technology to let men who didn't want a child not pay child support. You're ignoring the key points. Right now a woman can have sex, then take Plan B, get a doctor to perform an abortion, or give the kid up for adoption. A woman having sex doesn't put any parental obligations on her. Where as a man having sex puts what ever parental responsibilities the woman wants him to have, on him.

Really if we were to follow feminist logic, the only responsible thing to do would be to revoke women's suffrage and legal authority. If women only go into the careers, marry, and hold opinions because that's what society tells them to do, then it's irresponsible and somewhat abusive to act like they are rational agents who can look out for their own best interest. Had she waited to try to dial until they were any closer, she wouldn't have been able to dial, not in the 2 seconds while 2 guys are charging her. To give you a real answer: cis is the opposite of trans. If someone is born with a dick and thinks of themselves as a "man" than they are cis. If that same person thinks of themselves as a "woman" they would be trans. Gender queer is essentially for those who don't fit into the traditional binary.

The thing about the wage gap is two issues. One, it's indicative of critical logical failures and two, it's just one of many issues, such as rape culture and domestic violence. As for the logical failure. Think about all the companies that will ship jobs overseas to help their bottom line. Or do any number of unethical things to try and save a bit of money. If a company could really pay women 77% of what they pay men, why would they hire men? In fact for some careers, it would make sense to pay …

News outlets would have a field day with it. NOW and all the other feminist organizations would have the college in court instantly.

But I think it's a simplistic and silly thing to say sexism in STEM fields is dead. Gender disparities do exist, they are still significant So you're going to sit here and say that despite the fact that there would be massive consequences for getting caught, all across the country, thousands of college administrators and professors are discriminating against women. Not only is this practice in place all across the country, but is somehow able to infect professors from other countries as well as …

Notice I fucking said: For instance some women will use the men... I even bolded the word "some". I didn't say most. I didn't say many. I said "some". Also most of the stereotypically nerdy, shy, asocial women who are interested in STEM Refer to: Perhaps the best example is how much attention someone receives in spite of their social awkwardness. If you took a male and female in STEM of comparable attractiveness and the same degree of social awkwardness, the male is going to receive a fraction o…

Or, there are significant costs and prerequisites to going into STEM. In many ways STEM students have to pick their field back in high school and then have an aptitude for material that most of the population, male or female does not have. There is also more to life than money and STEM often requires living a greatly imbalanced life. Look at some of the explanatory variables in the wage gap in other fields.
/r/MensRights07/04/13 05:48 PM

Because the gender ratios are so skewed, and there's definitely some truth to various stereotypes about the male students, it generates an imbalance in perceived social worth. Simply put, the women in STEM enjoy an elevated status that they don't have in the rest of the world. For instance some women will use the men in the class to do their work for them. They would be hard pressed to do so in a literature class that's 70% women. Perhaps the best example is how much attention someone receives i…

As a brand new STEM graduate it has always seemed to me that most accusations of sexism against women in the field are bullshit. There are numerous scholarships and organizations out there that are women only, yet there are very few male only ones. Most professors are so uncaring about their students it's hard to believe that most of them would risk something that could actually threaten their tenure. Finally the social benefits for women in STEM are outrageous.

It does matter though. The public isn't about to learn and use a wide variety of legal terms. But everyone knows what rape is. Because of data like this getting shoved under the rug through obfuscation, it allows feminists to dictate their views unopposed.

What a sophomoric, tautological response. They don't even attempt to make a justification for their position, they merely just repeat it. If the FBI defined murder as something only a white person could commit, it would "solve" the US's murder rate problem as well as "solving" the issue of high number of blacks being murdered.

I think the real root of the issue is with the police. In addition to the trauma the women themselves can inflict, there is the entire weight of the police and prison system backing them up. IMO, we need to focus our attacks on the Duluth model in both explicit and implicit forms.

I'm going to disagree with the majority here and say not really. While political parties are not Borg collectives, they still have stances that are party backed. With a few exceptions, the realistic candidate that represents the most liberal positions is going to have a D in front of their name. Currently the Democratic party is beholden to feminism. An ok article, but it misses two critical points in all of this, the games industry is an industry. It's why there are so many Call of Duty games, because industries respond to money. If women want the games industry to change, they need to appropriately spend money. Supporting quality games that reflect the changes they want to see is what would change the industry in a heart beat. The second issue is that there is a reason why female strippers were hired. The problem is that railing against "the patriarchy" or "bullshit" really isn't an actual plan to solve men's issues. It's just an empty promise, that if we join them, at some point our problems will just magically disappear. Instead using it as a term to sum up 'every woman to do a shit thing, ever. Modern feminism is built on being offended and a victim. There is nothing video games could do to please feminists, aside from maybe being made by one. If no females are present, it's sexist for not including them. If a female is present, but doesn't really have a large role, then the game is sexist for having a token female. /r/MensRights18/02/13 11:21 PM

I went through the actual article and maybe I just found the wrong data set. They had this set that was broken up into low, medium and high frequency. I added up the numbers under reciprocal violence from male "perpetrator" and female "perpetrator". I assumed that meant that perpetrator meant instigator, because it's axiomatic that both parties committed violence in a reciprocally violent relationship.
/r/MensRights18/02/13 10:55 PM

So I looked at their data, and while women were more likely to be the perpetrators in reciprocal violence, the statistic I saw but them pretty close. So that means women instigate a bit more than25% + 35% of all domestic violence. That's 3 to 2 odds.

If she's so afraid, she should pull her head out of her ass and gain some basic street smarts. She had no situational awareness. When she did notice him, she didn't either create or close the distance between them. She clearly had no real plan, nor could she read body language. Her problems aren't our responsibility.

She didn't make any smart moves in the situation. And speaking as a 6' guy, it's pretty easy for me to pass women. However at night on campus here's how it would generally play out. I'm super tired, because I've been on campus for a solid 12 hours, and I just want to run my last trip to the library and go home. Some girl is crossing the bridge in front of me. I'm not walking fast, but just a notch faster than her. Now one of 2 things would happen, either she'd keep her pace, and I would pass her…

I have dealt with this so many times at my alma mater. Between any of the main destinations, there is really only one intelligent path, especially to cross the river. That means if it's night time, and you walk slow, someone is going to pass you. Now I completely get being vigilant. You know, regardless of who the other person is, reading their body language is important. But that's different than automatically assuming you are going to get raped.

I mean I've been both the person passed, and the passer. Have some situational awareness, and make eye contact even just once. It means that if the person wanted to attack, they have to do it against an aware target. As for being the passer, what am I supposed to do? Creepily match pace? Speed up? Say something?

My point is that it is never a convenient time to fight any battle, In a very literal sense, that's the entire concept of having the initiative. In a less literal sense, consider to following scenarios. A college student wants to come out to her parents. However her parents are rather homophobic. Case A: She is living with her parents while she attends college, and they are helping her with tuition. Case B: She has graduated college and has a job and lives completely independently. No amount of evidence I offered, or that OP can offer will win him the fight against an ideologue who has a position of power over him. If feminists even slightly wanted to base things in facts, most of their positions would fall apart. As such they have to stick to emotional appeals. First off I didn't say anything about child care. I have yet to meet a single person who goes around claiming they work 2 jobs because they have to wash their own dishes. When the children are too young to go to school, you can make a case for taking care of them being a job. But once the kids are in school it's certainly not a "job". Otherwise basically every parent would be considered to be working 2+ jobs.

While the uber crazy shit might be more of a small vocal minority, feminism as a whole fights against fairness in divorce, custody, economic fairness, and social balance. See the thing is though is that there is nothing mutually exclusive about one's right to slap someone back and having a society with minimal slapping. As of now there is no compelling reason for women to give up slapping men with impunity. Now if a sufficient appeal to equality and non violence was made, perhaps they would. The bus driver isn't France and the woman isn't Germany. Obviously The point remains that when you are being attacked, the time for words has ended. Once people start putting themselvs in a "it's either them or us" box of thinking, only bad things can follow. Slaps can be way harder than what people give them credit for. He may or may have not gotten scratched as well. She was fine within seconds of being hit. He tried to throw her off of the bus, post hit and she only stayed off for a few seconds. The quality of someone's attack doesn't factor into the response. What universe do you live in? Romans enslaved every northern European they could. Barbary Coast pirates used to prey upon coastal Europeans. The British oppressed the fuck out of the Irish. The Catholic nations used to persecute Protestants. As soon as Protestant nations formed they tried to wipe out Catholics living in their countries.

While possibly true, it doesn't mean that abortion should be legal. If we actually investigated crimes, and punished those who lied, this really wouldn't be an issue.

Here are 3 responses to this, depending on who you would ask. From a policy perspective, imagine pushing for a bill that would require rape victims to have the child. Obviously that would damage whoever introduced that bill, and anyone who supported it. Some people do feel the a fetus is a person, but they obviously also do not want to cause pain to rape victims. Caught between these two, they simply choose what they find less awful. The collateral damage theory. Essentially the rights of innoce…

On a personal level I completely understand what your saying. In fact if I was a parent of one of the high school girls and she told me that there was someone wandering around in her locker room with a penis, I would most likely react poorly. However at a policy level, from a practical standpoint there are at least two LGBT groups on campus. Which would indicate the school is ok with lesbians. This in turn means that's ok for lesbians to use the sauna in question.

Not disagreeing with you per se, but it's not like the school has a "No Horny Lesbians" sign posted. So really given that adult women can be in there, unless there's also going to be a witch hunt for lesbians who openly admit to being horny, it's hypocritical to go after Colleen. Kinky is essentially irrelevant in this context.

Some killers might be smart enough to leave only inconclusive physical evidence, doesn't mean it wasn't murder. But that in turn doesn't imply that we should loosen standards on what should bring about a conviction.

Reminds of the article on how a man hangs the toilet paper. There is literally nothing the man could do right. Maybe there should be a magazine for men called Pastoral that simply takes Cosmo articles and reverses the genders. Everyone would flip their shit, but after a while, I think people could start moving past mindless sexism.

So, if someone lies about rape Of course that's equivalent to making an offensive joke. In both cases prison time is a real danger. As for the rest, filter their opinion through the following criteria: do they have power over you, are they your friend, are you trying to sleep with them. If the answer to all 3 is no, then you are under no obligation to give a shit.

It's about the Bolshevik revolution in Russia but with animals. The animals revolt and throw out the oppressive farmer, which is when they write that "All animals are equal" on the barn. But over time the pigs become more and more like the farmer, including wearing human clothes, which is when the phrase is modified to "but some are more equal than others".

Now that could truly deter actual rape victims. Not guilty != innocent. If the police actually did their due diligence in these cases, there would be one of three outcomes. The police have actual evidence against the accused rapist, the police can not generate convincing evidence one way or the other, or there is evidence that the accuser is full of shit. In the first and third case the relevant party would go to court. In the second, nothing happens.

How high would it have to be before you do think its a generality. I picked engineering because it's one of the least common for women, in biology, the number rises to 50%. 3 to 1 would generally be a solid pick for many things. If a StarCraft player pick 'toss 75% of the time, I wouldn't be preparing for a zergling rush. To put that a different way, say 3/4 of a particular field is made of women. That 20% is propped up by a bunch of sexist incentives and illogical department combinations. If I had an x chromosome instead of a y, getting my BS in math would be a hell of a lot cheaper and there would all sorts of additional opportunities. Also knocking out STEM grads who are using it to go into teaching affects more women then men. Still, even at 20% female, that leaves 80% of engineers as men. An important point in regards to violence though, while video games and movies almost always have either trivial injuries or wounds that produce almost instant death. DeletedLink basically agreed with his logic. Asks_Politely didn't actually offer up a reason why only allowing women to attend a self defense assembly implied that the women there couldn't be attacked by another woman. I was in that thread and his position was entirely reasonable. The issue was that at some kid's school an assembly was had for girls only to teach them how to defend themselves against sexual assault. In my mind before I would call sexism, I would consider a couple of issues. If the instructor was just using the male gender as the default gender, then it's not really a big deal, at least in my mind. I would consider the equivalent of asking if the mail man had come yet, regardless of the postal carrier's actual gender. The other would be if the instructor was using men because men in general have a combat advantage due to size and a few other factors.

Women will go down to trauma to their genitals too. Think about it this way, if you try to knee my balls, but catch my thigh, I'm not going down (in general). So if you miss a woman's genital's she isn't going to go down either, but man, if you land that, she's going down.

/r/MensRights15/09/12 02:50 PM

Well actually that's still effective against women and not bad advice. Is it shitty that men aren't getting taught? Absolutely. But really there's very little in a defense class that would work on a man but not on a woman.
/r/MensRights15/09/12 02:45 PM

Alright guys put down the pitchforks for like 30 seconds. A female only defense class does imply that only women will be the victims. A woman who takes that class can use everything she learned to defend against a male or female assailant. When I used to take self defense classes, there was never a time when I was told that I could only be attacked by a guy or that some mystical force would prevent me from using what I learned to defend against a woman.

I don't think there are a ton of cases where the father really wants the child but the mother wants to give it up for adoption. If those cases come up, I would assume the father would get the child, and thus be financially liable. In the US the risk of maternal mortality is 13.3 in 100,000, or 0.000133. That means that 99.9867% of mothers giving birth will not die, so unless a doctor says that she has an increased risk due to something with the pregnancy, I don't think feeling shitty is enough t…

I'm not trying to be an ass, but I honestly don't see surrendering paternity as the same thing as a woman choosing abortion. Given that her mental illness allowed her to plan this out quite thoroughly, wouldn't you feel that instead of jail time she needs to be placed in a psychiatric ward for a long period of time? Unfortunately most of those encouragements are discriminatory against men. It's one thing to bring in a woman who works in career x and have her talk to high school girls about her job. Ok first off: the CDC says that there are 2184000 males born in the US per year; the CIRP says that 43.9% of boys are circumcised. That means that there 960,960 circumcisions a year. Granted this is just me, and I have no idea how many other people are out there who agree with me, but I fit your description. Abortion is the ending of a life, and I don't see the difference between killing a 6 month old fetus and a newborn. Paternal surrender however in my mind resembles putting a child up for adoption. A father recognizes that they are incapable of caring for their child, so he revokes his rights and responsibilities. I don't see the difference between that and a mother leavi…

Sorry but not EVERY single time a guy gets nailed for doing something we have a reason to get up in arms . I don't care that it's a guy. This about making prison rape socially unacceptable. Secondly , we don't actually know what the guy did . Maybe it was petty theft , maybe it was assault . The post says shoplifting. Maybe the poster was wrong, but this isn't just some random person from my friends list, this was approved buy a site that relies solely on ad revenue, and thus traffic to stay ali…

First off, I'd always wondered what it would take to get reddit to support Nickleback. Can't say I expected this. So if she can sue for the money he used to provide, shouldn't he still be entitled to what she used to provide?

I meant that feminists want things like women to make more money, but they don't want women to do things like take more dangerous jobs.

So now the women's movements about equal results IMO. Except for the bad things of course.

That and you have to attract the women to the school as well. If the school hadn't already attracted the necessary female athletes, chances are they would have to attract more women instead of just expanding the number of available spots. There's also the issue of sports that actually generally turn a profit, of which I can guarantee that most women's sports do not.

Enforced proportionality is still a "cut". Ultimately school have to decide on a budget, with x million dollars going to athletics. That money is then going to determine how many athletes you can have. Say a school spends 2 million dollars a year and has 150 male athletes and 50 female athletes. The gender ration of this school is perfectly even. The school gets told that in order to be in Title IX compliance they need to have equal numbers. So what are the school's options? They can get 100 new…

Children = a choice you can make. (conscription) A very distinct lack of choice. Part of the issue is that the army may decide to train you as a rifleman, which is useful for the army, but the private sector typically doesn't need too many riflemen. Inherently any job a woman works in the private sector makes her more valuable in the private sector.

While this picture has always pissed me off, I don't want to see the MR movement follow feminism. What if some man is subjected to misandry, is suicidal because of it and stumbles upon such a viper's nest? There are enough real issues out there, let's not worry about what people on the internet say.

Skin cancer isn't a malicious act, thus doesn't really work. For a gender neutral analogy, let's go with murder with firearms. (A bit of back ground information first. Supposedly according to polls, there about 50 million gun owners in the US. Each year there are about 10 thousand murders committed with a firearm. Thus even ignoring the issues of multiple murders and stolen firearms, there's a 1 in 5 thousand chance that a gun owner will commit a murder with that firearm.) Imagine if firearms ha…

you asshats You're a sexist prick, full stop. Escalating to name calling. Fuck I hate it when you asshats make such idiotic statements, assuming men 'have it all' and face no barriers. Last time I checked I have dick and post in this sub. You were going to outline how he was going to be able to get out of the relationship not only with his life, but also avoiding the routine stripping of assets and rights that is Divorce Court? I understand that women have an advantage in divorce court. ....and …

Even in the story, the man had a long time where he hadn't been permanently injured, and could have left. Going back to my previous point, for a couple of years she most likely wasn't doing lasting damage.

A while back a news-story in which a medium size girl killed a man with one punch was posted. Obviously a bit of an exceptional case. Obviously any general rule will have examples where you should do the opposite. The purpose of these rules/maxims is to govern the vast majority cases. Think of all the women you know/have known. How many could cause noticeable to permanent damage? Meanwhile, think of all the men you know/have known, how many could cause real damage, especially against a woman? I …

The whole "never hit a girl" is not meant as a license for boys to go hit other boys. When parents give that lesson, it's about not retaliating. The logic goes that while it's unpleasant for a man to get hit by a woman, it's not likely do any damage (obviously excludes groin shots, and weapons), where as if a man were to hit a woman it would have a much higher chance of causing physical damage. Even in the story, the man had a long time where he hadn't been permanently injured, and could have le…

Doesn't matter in the slightest if the cops think you're guilty. If only ask for a lawyer, you by definition haven't admitted to anything. The cops are never trying to help you while they are questioning you.

Where do you get that? If a girl confronts you about something, she knows the truth. Denying it makes her more (emphasis mine) angry. Clearly she can confront her bf is she is angry. Ask why she is mad at you. Say you were wrong and apologize. If she's mad at you, you obviously did something. Tell her she's overreacting. If you thought she was mad before, prepare to meet the she-beast from hell. I will grant you that it is entirely possible that if she's mad she will use the silent treatment. Bu…

But that's not what it says. It clearly gives women the go ahead to approach any issue while pissed off, then tells men not to even find out what the issue was, instead automatically genuflect for the princess. Meanwhile, it says that men will screw things up during the talk.

Two points: I love animals, but they were just dogs. The fact that a child died should automatically grant a harsher sentence. Intentionally swerving to hit a dog is bad, but it's still no where near as bad as running over a kid because you were displaying callous indifference with regards to their safety. This leads to my second point. Her pattern of behavior shifts this from an horrific accident to indifference about her child's safety. While she may not have had intent to kill the child, her …

I don't think a person's commitment to their family can be quantified so I don't know how you could argue that men are more committed to their families than women are.

"For men, family is most important." I think most people would agree with the statement "family comes first" or some variant on that. Saying it about men just seems weird. It would be like saying "For whites, family comes first." "If there are troubles in the family, he reaches a high level of frustration and may end his life." Obviously any mental trauma is going to increase suicide rates. However there are about one million divorces per year, and 25280 male suicides per year. So even if every …

I agree with post title but I don't agree that the ex-wife should be charged over her husband's suicide. Also the claim "For men, family is most important. If there are troubles in the family, he reaches a high level of frustration and may end his life." is obviously unsupported.

If the unwashed communist hordes could figure it out, I think'll they'll manage. EDIT: I'm sorry, how many countries have used some AK variant? The upper image doesn't really seem to match any gun, but I'm guessing that's what they were going for. Guns aren't hard to figure out.
