I was going to say that maybe it's me that's getting hung up on the word 'controlling' as I think people equate it with domestic abuse, but then I read your examples and I think it implies it anyway. Granted, these examples are probably to make the distinction very clear, but I'm still going to describe to picture you painted. Guy with a boundary: 'so sexy', 'insecure'. Like he's overpowered by her feminine energy and can only hope she even acknowledges his request. He only takes issue with the …

I hate to tell you this, but women get unwanted attention no matter what we wear. And nobody is responsible for what someone else finds revealing. I'm sypathetic sometimes, because women get approached in sweatpants too. But that does not change what I said: wearing revealing clothing generates attention from men. It is more inviting. When a woman wants attention from a man, she knows to dress a certain way, therefore, dress style is not insignificant to garnering attention. Just because a woman…

Wearing revealing clothing in a relationship is no different from wearing revealing clothing outside of the relationship, in that this behaviour generates attention from men regardless. The effect is you are sexually advertising yourself. Signalling is important. Women often have the advantage of not having to be clear with their actions and intentions, which gives them plausible deniability -- which I think is a huge advantage -- and the ability to feign ignorance for many things. Because you c…

Every time I bring this up it leads to a scandal and her saying that I'd better go and find someone who wants sex more. But I can bet all my money on the fact that she's only "low libido" for me because I have hard evidence from her past when she borderline begged her ex for sex when they were together and she was the one getting rejected. I get you didn't have much options, but I will keep saying that men shouldn't buy that 'low libido' or 'I've changed' spiele. It simply does not benefit us, w…

I actually don't care about you at all lol. I was just trying to keep my subsequent responses tame and move on. My sole purpose of replying to you was for readers that see the single lifestyle advertised with no drawbacks and I wanted to throw something out there saying it's not always the case and to consider that.

This isn't an insignificant drawback, but glad you've taken the choice that makes you happy, I guess.

How do you just logically know what type of guys marriage is an option with unless you've had experience with said guys? It's not like you can just walk out on the street and identify men who can and can't marry, unless these guys shared some obvious characteristic (or red flag) you could identify from afar.

CF? Child free? I responded because I wanted to point out there can be loneliness and othering that's easy to dismiss/ignore in the moment, but it's not all fun and games. and I think most people will be affected by it. If she's not, then happy days. But I also don't think a support network is a sufficient replacement for a spouse and/or children, and I wouldn't have the same expectations from a group of friends as I would from a spouse.

More power to you. I see women advertise this lifestyle like there's no drawbacks and I think for a majority of people, that would not be the case. I also thinks there's more options in a man than one you have to clean up after, but it is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/22 09:43 PM

Why does everyone assume settling? Because it is not her type. She is not getting the man she wants, just so she can actually get married someday. Ergo, her type is not good marriage material or doesn't want to wife her. Her type could mean more than looks. Tbh, I don't get why the woman would have to give up on her type for the chance of marriage. She must've been through it enough times to be able to say her type is unviable for marriage, and/or these guys must share a pretty big red flag that…

Fun auntie? Maybe in a fan fiction. See how fun it really is when your siblings are growing and developing their families, enjoying pivotal moments in their children's live while you observe from the outside with none of that. See how fun it is when family members depart in their units at the end of gatherings, while you journey back home alone. See how fun it is when you're extremely sick or in the hospital and the people you call for help (muh support network) have other priorities instead of …

Again, I am arguing against you suggesting that people are hypocrites, based on a hypothetical and using that to say one should not be frustrated about their situation. Who is saying somebody is a hypocrite for being annoyed at their situation? Not me. Every time I used 'hypocrite', I kept it in the context of 'doing the same if the tables were turned' in some form. My previous post italicised 'hypocritical to be annoyed' as that is almost the exact wording used in your OP, again, with the afore…

'Chemical inbalances' was the first reason you put forward. The others just seemed like an 'oh and also' addition. Naturally, I'd look at the reason that the structure of your post gives the most significance to. Anyway, I need to go and look up the increase of antidepressant usage to see if it's a symptom of modern times or if it's always been this bad.

Please tell me what point you're trying to make. His story doesn't mean that the many other slaves would be hypocritical to be annoyed (an understatement) at the way they were treated because they might have done the same thing if given the means. Nor does it mean they would be wrong to feel negatively about the whole thing. William Ellison Jr's 'hypocrisy' materialised. Slave A's 'hypocrisy' did not. I am not arguing people are saints. Among women ages 18 to 39, the figure was about one in 10. Among men, 8.4% of those ages 40 to 59 and 12.8% of those 60 and older used antidepressants in the last 30 days, according to the NCHS data. It’s a bit like a poor person being irate at a multimillionaire tax dodger when they would likely do the exact same thing in their shoes. Someone could easily have a problem with OF because they're against this kind of sex work (low barrier to entry into the porno world for 'normal girls') and feel like it increases their chances of running into this type of women, statistically likely or not. I'm sure there's other reasons too. People don't argue with feminists, or redpillers, or some other goddamn thing, they argue with themselves. What? Now to the psychoanalysis: if you constantly bitch about OF hoes/promiscuity - you in fact wish you could join this party as well but you either weren't invited or don't have the bravery to post your dick pick with your face next to it. You were rude to her. Making someone cry to prove a point is… not a good look to say the least. I’m not surprised they excluded you. Bruh, look how quick you turned on him, and slick with the dig too. Like the avatar of his ex-friends coming back to give him one final slap. This just helped me with my entry for the thread: women don't care about what men have to say. Sometimes they'll JAQ off for a bit and then turn it into some finger-wagging exercise.

>single men and women are equal >while getting overwhelmed with male attention Wew. Women are more social than men. I don't see them checking out of dating more than men, unless they've already been married or had children, but I didn't assume these women were included in the single women category, even though technically they are. ...divorce is usually initiated by women, and furthermore partnerships where the woman doesn’t have an income have the greatest risk for divorce. So where does that leave the RP woman? Divorced. Alone. Broke. Wait, so the women are initiating divorces which leaves them alone and broke? Why would they put themselves in this position? Are they divorcing with the hopes of getting alimony and it didn't go to plan?

Because most of the men giving them unhealthy amounts of attention are mentally ill, outcasts, perverts, ect just undesirable males that you don't want unless your main attitude is to make money from these simps first and foremost. Very likely, depending on the avenues a woman's using to get her online experiences. OF/streaming/amateur porn would attract these kinds of men. However, I would also consider online dating and online social/hobby groups as avenues to online experiences, where the men…

Why should online experiences be excluded from the 'easy mode' discussion, though? If a lot of women can just jump online and get orbiters, I would assume the complaints about women living life on easy mode factor this avenue of attention into the discussion. Furthermore, wouldn't most of these conversations with men complaining women only notice attractive men be taking place online? I'd say the internet is quite integral to the discussion.

Pretty much this, even if one may want to swap 'follow the guy's lead' with 'cooperative'. You're supposed to be a team, not opponents under the same roof. And it goes without saying that the guy should be receptive to the woman's feelings too, not stubbornly dismiss her because he needs to lead.

There is quite a bit of pressure on men dating and proving themselves. Approaching is nerve-racking. Planning, initiating and escalating can be exhausting (particularly in the early stages). If these things were so exciting and fun, no doubt more women would be taking on these tasks, as fun and excitement are some of the things they often claim to want (amongst other things). While a man can definitely still have fun dating while doing these tasks, I disagree with the absolute nature of your pos…

When someone uses the word intelligent, I believe it is the norm that the first thing someone thinks of is the high IQ/smart/genius type of intelligence. When we delve into the actual qualities that people are after, there are often better words to describe these qualities that the word 'intelligence' itself doesn't clearly communicate these preferred qualities. A quick wit is certainly a form of intelligence. Being able to advocate for yourself, and understanding the room, are all forms of over…

Wit and sense of humor factor in Sure they can, but collouquially speaking, wit is described as wit, not intelligence, and you don't need to be a genius to have a sense of humour. Good communication skills Again, I wouldn't describe this as intelligence, maybe something like 'extrovert', 'confident' or 'social butterfly'. I know it's a thing, but I'm surprised to hear it was so frequent as young as 10. Like, a 10 year old has no sex appeal, and probably zero development at all, that the excuse of confusion about her age could be used. I wondered if these guys had paedophilic tendencies when I first read some of the comments, but it sounds frequent enough that I can't even attempt to categorise the guys doing it, and maybe it's seemingly normal, yet disrespectful men doing this.

You're allowed to have your preference. I'm not really trying to argue anything, just gain some understanding. Why would I step over tons of eligible straight men to exclusively find a bisexual man at measly %4? What? You don't need to step over anyone and actively seek out a bi man. The difficulty I'm referring to is that being bi or previously doing homosexual acts is an instant dealbreaker for a lot of women. Homosexual behaviour, and the potential for it, detracts from the masculinity a lot of women want in their man, which then significantly affects the bi man's dating options. Some women still might not be able accept the bi man's orientation/history, even if she did decide to give him a chance and I think this strains the relationship and increases the chances of the …

From the thread, I've gathered the issue some women have is the increased potential for infidelity, increased risk of STDs, or difficulty to be with a man that has engaged in homosexual acts. Does your opinion fall into one of these areas or is there another reason?

/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 07:34 PM
7

Can I ask: is there some disapproval of homosexual behaviour here, or is it simply just a concern about the STDs? I ask because this seems like a relatively easy thing to check and move past from the get-go (unless he actually had something). You're entitled to your preferences, I'm just curious (pun intended) to know.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/22 07:30 PM

My question is more about how a woman would treat a bi man vs a straight man, and if the woman would more likely rate the bi man more harshly because of his orientation. Not the bi man's ability to have sex with a woman vs a man.

It would take nothing short of all men being tied up in cages for some women to realise that men's lives aren't as good as they think it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/04/22 05:34 PM
1

I agree that the guy initiating (or even when not initiating) should be prepared to pay for the date. Conveniently women aren't really initiating first dates often, so this expectation will fall on men regardless if women are in the workforce or not. I will say there's also women that would find it disrespectful if the guy just pays for her like she has no say. I just don't think a guy is bottom of barrel solely because he wants to go dutch, maybe just not your type.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 08:36 PM
2

Someone going dutch is not what you're after and that's fair enough. But you don't see how a guy offering to go dutch could be seen as respectful to the woman? He's respecting the woman's autonomy and choice on the matter and not jumping to act on her behalf. He can be doing it to lessen the transactional nature of the date (and subsequently the expectation of her to put out), which means he may be prioritising more than just sex and looking at the woman as a whole, i.e., not objectifying her. That guy had other issues and him wanting to go dutch contributed to you making a better decision, but I'm just trying to wrap my head around men being bottom of the barrel just because they want to go dutch. /r/PurplePillDebate20/04/22 06:47 PM

Damn... is that last bit really a fair statement? I don't do it personally but I'm not surprised there are guys that do. Men get a lot of mixed signals on how to interact with women: Masculinity is toxic, but women don't want feminine men; women are equal, but the man should still take more responsibility/accountability; men should open up more, but not too much; some women want to go dutch, some don't, but suggesting either option can offend them (paying = expectation of sex or just chauvanism,…

>So you want your physical appearance alone to be the determining factor if you get laid Yes, women are also very visual and I want to meet her threshold of what is physically attractive. >You completely ignored the reasons I mentioned as to why it may not happen What am I supposed to respond with? Sure, a woman doesn't sleep with every guy she meets because she's still assessing him in certain areas. But then if one random guy comes along that makes her drop all her vetting requirements, then y…

>why do you care if other guys get laid and you dont? Because of this: If I'm jumping through hoops to get what another guy gets for free, it'd make me feel like my physical qualities alone aren't sufficient. I don't want to be in a relationship with someone if I feel like my physical traits alone weren't good enough for them. As I'd imagine you wouldn't want to either? Regardless of what led us to feeling that way. Now irl, there's some wiggle room as women would've had a life before they met m…

I’ve read that lots of ppd guys here want any girl they would take seriously to sleep with them quickly It's not exactly that she has to sleep with me quickly, it's just that I'd want her to have the same standard for all the guys that she gets with. If I'm jumping through hoops to get what another guy gets for free, it'd make me feel like my physical qualities alone aren't sufficient but she can be satisfied with some extra conditions. Actions speak louder than words and saying stuff like, 'but…

If the SO was that fickle, then she was never worth being called a SO in the first place and you'd be better off without her.

Soft skin and a loveable face (not having a negative that I just can't ignore, like fucked up teeth) are the baseline, followed by combinations of TnA. Big booty was never a negative for me. Just lol at people finding it attractive now because that's what's trending. I'm not too fussed about hair, but I'd rather a woman feels comfortable with her natural hair, just for her own happiness. What I don't like, though, is this nail trend. I've been put-off by enough nail styles that I can't not pay a…

Demonise a good characteristic, so that when a woman chooses an actual asshole, she can use the defence that the good options were equally as bad and she had no choice but to end up with Asshole McAss. Or it can be used as an easy shaming tactic to fall back on for undesirable men. This doesn't happen all the time. I'm just cynical AF and I've had this thought multiple times based on what I was observing. I think a lot of women try to set the playing field up so their negative dating practices g…

Do you really though? I was shaking my head at parts of this comment chain. To the violent porn bit, women have consistently asked me to do degrading stuff to them that I would've never initiated, like pulling their hair or choking them. Maybe individuals from the fairer sex are also into violent, degrading media and sex. No, that can't be it...

I, the guy that isn't into violent, degrading teen porn, but every single women he slept with wanted him to do some sort of degrading act on them, read your post with a cheeky smirk.

Dude said men outnumber women in certain places to make the point that men are seeking intimacy on a bigger scale and you somehow shifted the conversation to entitlement to sidestep the issue? Imagine if every time a man or woman pointed out an issue, people just responded with something about entitlement to dismiss the issue. We'd get nowhere. Oh, and it's possible for men to have good connections with friends and family and still starve for something more intimate. People just do not inherentl…

Admittedly, my personal experience is with Tinder, which I know can be more extreme than other apps, but everything I've seen corroborates this attention gap in men and women. Anyway, the experience was a complete waste of time for me (especially during lockdown, jeeez) and so much worse than real life. I came off feeling like a legit 2/10 lol. Difficult for a man to stay confident through that.

Women are not demons, however, if a woman is presented with more options than she can manage, she'd naturally pick from the best and develop habits to quickly filter out the rest. It's not hate, it just might not be feasible for her to respond to everyone, and of course she may just not be interested. When you consider just how many men are competing for one woman online, it's difficult to not think about every action. People play the numbers game, because their chances of success are so low tha…

All it takes is one night, or 'accident', to get pregnant. A woman could be very secretive with her business, as manoeuvring through unsolicited male attention starting from her teen years can often lead her to become good at this. Repeating yourself did nothing for this exchange and and I'm assuming you meant Amber Rose and Kanye?

What's your dynamic like wrt making financial decisions? E.g., is he comfortable having equal input on the decisions? Do you both carry out traditional roles outside of work?

It's something I've noticed too. I think it stems from women being an oppressed group that have, in recent decades, gone through an empowerment movement. I also think a lot of women don't understand how uncomfortable this makes a lot of men. (Women shouldn't be made to feel uncomfortable and their issues should be addressed, in case someone takes it as I'm ignoring women's problems.) It gets worse because expressing that uncomfortability can result in outrage, e.g., Henry Cavill apologising be…

And people are deceitful. Someone that is capable of committing paternity fraud and is somewhat self-aware can hide it. The only red flag I can think of at the moment is sexual infidelity (cheating, promiscuous behaviour, etc.), but some women can be very good at hiding these type of things.

Plenty of women also like excessive muscle mass, as it could make them feel more secure. It depends on what being 'nice' means here. sport casually a few nights a week with some body weight exercises and a clean diet is more than enough to get a guy a good enough body as far as most women are concerned True, and I'd say there's an even lower bar for women to meet. Stereotypically, the requirement is 'don't be fat', but we know that, even though more visually aroused, men are thirstier than wom…

I read the convo. It's ridiculous. But I posted my message above specifically because I understand your position. What I've learned, especially with all the craziness in the last couple of years, is that some people cannot be saved/changed/reasoned with and will actively hate you for trying to do so - you should not beat yourself up for failing in this endeavour. (Obviously, you put in more effort with family, but I think you get my point.)

Plenty of people see the tsunami on the horizon, but want to keep play in the sand until the waves hit, while giving you the middle finger for point out the disaster coming your way. You have to accept that you can't save everyone. Best you can do is try and preach the benefits of the 'right way', surround yourself with like-minded people, lead by example, and hope the behaviour catches on. What you're saying isn't a threat, more ringing the alarm bells for everyone's benefit.

I do not see nowhere near the same amount of women putting in gruelling, intense sessions at the gym to achieve 'nice' bodies as men do. But this is also dependent on what you mean by 'nice bodies'.

But a lot of women themselves have a preference to be 'under a man'. When women say things like, 'men don't know how to be men anymore' (which I always found strange, because isn't this men from the same period women complain they were treated like chattel in or when grape was legal?) or express dissatisfaction with the quality of men they see, it's implicitly or explicitly stated that the ideal man would be superior to them in some metric (financially, physically, or status-wise). Motherhood …
