Why Men Are "Going Galt": A Review of Men On StrikeThere is a great quote in the top review on Amazon that stood out to me: In 2005 Harvard President Lawrence H. Summers spoke at a conference on women and other minorities in the science and engineering workforce. Summers said that POSSIBLE explanations for the underrepresentation of women in the upper echelons of these professions MIGHT include upbringing, genetics, and time spent on child rearing. He clearly stated that he made these comments to be provocative. Listening to the presentation, MI… | /r/MensRights | 10/12/13 07:41 PM

The 10 types of guys women have to choose from (what type are we, then?)Its not the poor writing, generalization, content, or structure that bother me. What bothers me the most is 1: knowing how much of the masses believe this; and 2: how quick men are grouped into these categories. Its easy to say someone is one or the other, but what is never explored with this logic is how many are multiples at the same time. The most infuriating part is number 10, which I read it as: This is the guy that will likely cause a divorce. He won't care, and then you can clean house an… | /r/MensRights | 02/07/12 08:07 PM
Got this chain mail today. It came from the HR dept. ಠ_ಠI would be raging. This is completely unacceptable on many grounds. | /r/MensRights | 17/05/12 07:25 PM
What is The title of a Men's Rights promoter? If feminist is to women, what is a non-masochist title for us?Very true. I very much support equality for everyone. Whether race or gender related. I guess it just seems so welcoming to see a woman shout "yay, support feminism, I'm a feminist...yadda yadda". But to be a man and do such a thing to man issues, you're laughed at or brutally ignored. | /r/MensRights | 15/05/12 06:16 PM

So, these "dude tips" are all over UCLA. By the Bruin Feminists for "Equality"Just sorrowing. I'm all for equal rights for everyone. But forceful retributive methods are plain wrong. No matter who you are. | /r/MensRights | 09/05/12 01:58 PM

As a woman, I'd like to express my support for this subreddit, and its parent organization. I've first-hand witnessed discrimination toward men.Thank you for your post. I hate the feeling that when I do my volunteer work at a local elementary school I have to always have a peripheral eye open and glancing around just so I can be ready to justify my position and clearance in the school. I don;t like having to take extra steps just to make sure I am not putting myself in questionable views (like making sure the doors are wide open, outside when another class is out as well, ect) | /r/MensRights | 08/05/12 12:59 PM
"We are in charge." The true motive behind mainstream feminism? Sad.When one is raised above, all below suffer. | /r/MensRights | 07/05/12 09:05 PM
Is Don Draper from Mad Men a rolling target for feminist-misogyny fuel?Certainly. Do you think the audience, or other characters on the show, idolize Don's promiscuity? Certainly. Rich and suave, knows how to get it done. How is Betty made to look inferior? Betty was made to look crazy on many occasions, and almost naive to everything in the world. Not sure if her fault or not, but she seemed to almost want to put Don in the doghouse for often no reason. How and why should men dress nicer today? Not so much as from 100 years ago, but I see lots of guys taking more … | /r/MensRights | 03/05/12 05:20 PM
You want privilege? You got it!Dress shoes. Enough said. If you want decent ones to really last and be well constructed, at least 150 bucks ON SALE! A great pair of Allen Edmonds is at least 250. Also, dress shirts, pants, belt, undershirt, socks, underwear: a good outfit to look decent for business causal is at least 230 with a pair of even 100 dollar shoes. EDIT: this is at Kohls pricing. Lets walk over to Brooks Brothers and see that number quadruple. Its only cheap when men have been social conditioned to not care about f… | /r/MensRights | 03/05/12 02:12 PM
This showed up in my news feed. For the first time, this sort of thing bothered me. [FB]I say this bothers me because if I were to post "there is nothing more hysterical than watching a woman stand in the auto parts aisle" I'd become a rolling masochistic target. | /r/MensRights | 19/04/12 11:19 PM
