You're right, marrying up isn't just Chinese. Thanks for putting this into perspective. I guess you have to grow up in NYC to know the pressure.

I don't get it. Sounds like you're trying to be clever though.

Did you look at the blog? It shows links to videos with timestamps, regarding her changes in story. I have to disagree with you there. A blog can be reputable if it provides with you with enough information to form a narrative. If you need more proof than that, look at the way she dresses now. Fur coats, expensive purses. This is not the way a typical North Korean defector represents herself. She was raised in a wealthy family. Habits don't die for women.

They're doing that in front of kids. Seriously now?

Thanks. I'm glad I dropped out of Accounting. Making shit wage as an electrical apprentice right now, but I'm happy.

Teachers like that are part of the reason why I didn't learn shit in high school.

This is hits so hard to home. If only my friends thought the same way. I mean, it's YOUR life, shouldn't you get to choose how you live it? F*ck what other people think.

My roommate is a CS major. About to graduate with a 88k/yr job. Kindest, most hardworking guy I know. But women don't give a shit about him because he's short, "ugly", and without pleasing genetics. He tells me he plans to get married to a woman who "accepts him for who he is", but is skipping dating for now. He likes 2-D girls, but I see he prefers life this way. He's happier in his own world than this world full of feminist bullshit. I really do wish him best.

I plan on getting a STEM degree once I have the funds to pay for one. I'm pursuing a career as an electrician right now. Am I doing it wrong? I hear STEM degrees a lot on here..

Thanks for listening. The amount of stupidity I experienced yesterday almost made me want to drop out of college.

She didn't allow cameras and phones. I think she might be trying to keep her inconsistencies under wraps. Plus, it helps the story feel "exclusive". Whole thing felt like a for-profit lecture.

I bet she could retire right now. Just today, $5 per ticket @ 3000 students for 2 hours. She flies first class to Norway, Japan, NYC, Moscow, and anywhere she wants to because people will pay to hear her bullshit.

I wanted to film it. But cameras and phones weren't allowed in the auditorium. I even saw a security officer on standby. Fishy, right?

I think she changed her last name. Apparently she carried her dad up a mountain and buried him herself out in the cold. But then instagram shows her parents watching a movie with her? https://www.instagram.com/p/BItmYfsjI38/

Been a long time anime and manga consumer. It's in there too, but I always remember such beautiful stories belong in fiction.

This. After high school, I felt lost. I still do. Always wonder if some life advice would've made "adulthood" less shocking.

My dad worked all the time and made sure the family was provided for. My siblings and my mom could go out and eat anytime we wanted, and college expenses were never an issue. He immigrated to Bronx, NY with a suitcase of belongings around age 20. I think he didn't want us to suffer. Like yourself, video games raised me. But I'd give nearly anything to repeat my childhood with a father who would've taken more interest in my life. People say I should be grateful, but the only memories I have of hi…
