Based AF. Not to mention, statistics show that single women tend to be more content with their lives than single men. Women are figuring out it’s easier to be happy alone than to settle for someone who isn’t harmonious with your values/ desires for the future, doesn’t give you what you need in a relationship emotionally/ mentally/ physically, and makes your life more work.

This is the best answer I’ve ever seen to these kinds of conversations. You merely find out you don’t like doing X/ it wasn’t worth it for you. It has nothing to do with the worthiness of the current partner and everything to do with figuring out your own boundaries on things, be it sexual activities or construction projects.

Simple answer: it turns out, being educated and understanding the cause-effect of decisions that have huge ramifications on autonomy tends to kill a lot of people’s desire to reproduce. For the longest time, medically tested birth control was not available and finding a life partner brought a societal compulsory expectation of having kids. Now that people are really trying to challenge these expectations and say “what if we don’t hav to do what people before us did”, they’re coming to the conclu…

You hit the nail on the head. It’s never just “noticing patterns.” The whole point of RP is to utilize a perspective on gender dynamics to argue that modern feminism and female financial autonomy is correlated with the altering landscape in dating and marriage. And while it certainly is, it is quite funny RP generally frames it as “unfettered female desire has detrimental effects on society and alienates the average man” instead of the actual truth which is “now that women no longer have to marr…

It doesn’t do that to every woman. The only people who go mad being single are the ones who don’t want to be single, and even then, most of them end up okay with it or at least coming to terms. If anything, men are more likely to not handle chronic singleness well when you consider statistics about happiness and lifespan.

I think it’s less about “I see it and deserve it” and more about “I see it and I want it.” People don’t often question if they deserve something abc instead just hope they can get it.

These men don’t understand that nothing has changed when it comes to women’s attraction to men. We finally get a chance to obtain autonomy and get to express what we’re actually attracted to… these people are insane.

The guys on this thread asking why women want to have sex with talk, attractive men as a rebuttal are so tone-deaf it’s hysterical. You’re comparing wanting to get it on with a consenting adult who has their whole life going for them to wanting to get it on with someone who is barely out of childhood. OP, here is your simple answer: teenagers and girls in their early twenties are much easier to manipulate and control. Most teenagers are zitty, developing messes, so I have no idea where the “they…

You’re welcome! I feel like a lot of dudes find female arousal and preferences to be a mystery when it’s quite straightforward but very different from male turn-ons. Obviously, this does not include all women, but it is the general trend I have noticed between women.

The visuals would be more akin to a major motion picture sex scene but more explicit. There would be more emphasis on the “situation” and sexual tension preceding the actual sexual acts. For instance, getting snowed in with your work rival, a handsome jerk who you spar with constantly who is secretly obsessed with you. TBH, look at “Harlequin” and romance novels, then extrapolate from those. They are basically just porn. The reason I prefer erotica to visual porn is partially because of the cont…

I’ve asked this for a long time, and the simple answer is that they don’t view women as equals or as anything more than an object. They don’t hate on the “problem” guys because they know they would do the same thing in their position, but if a woman does it, it’s not kosher because he refuses to see her as an equal who deserves to take advantage of her options too. Instead, they accuse her of wanting people out of her league when they are easily more delusional and only notice attractive women b…

Men definitely have a harder time getting laid, but they also for some weird reason want to exclusively rely on a single person for emotional support instead of having a support system and that that is the main reason men in the first world are so miserable rn.

I’m not arguing about whether people should leave or not. I’m just saying that you can’t necessarily use sexual activities to measure how much someone likes you. Maybe she liked the other guy more, or maybe sex with him was so boring and disconnected she had to make it spicy to stay interested. Maybe she only did it to keep him happy because he demanded, and she really just likes vanilla and is happy to give it?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/24 09:12 PM

It usually results in her getting shit on before he finally just does it. Why do men think the woman values him less if she isn’t willing or interested in doing sexual things with him that she’s done with other people. It’s sexual chemistry. Some people make a person want more vanilla sex and some people make a person feel kinky. It is what it is.

No, it’s still retroactive. If you’re jealous of her past, it’s retroactive jealousy. Then just break up with her. Don’t shit on her or act like a dick.

This is the best reply to this debate I’ve seen on this sub. Men don’t need to overlook a woman’s promiscuity when considering dating her, but if they do decide to date her, then they need to manage their retroactive jealousy.

Because being in control feels good to all humans. When you pursue someone who you understand to be an equal in some way, shape, or form, and the other person also views themself as your equal, you will actually have to make compromises instead of getting to do whatever you want because the other person is not afraid to cut and run since they’ll have more options of equal or greater caliber than you. Nobody wants to be abandoned, but if abandonment has to happen, it feels less crappy to be the o…

They look like eating disorders, mental breakdowns at 12 am when you scroll across the engagement post of a girl who used to bully you, and rampant self-degradation. Your average woman isn’t going to be game for hair-pulling or actively fighting about a guy with another woman, but when you look at competition in a general sense, we usually turn that frustration inward or become that one annoying woman in the friend group that the others only sometimes like because all she does is complain all th…

Western women have finally reached a point where the majority have the capacity to be autonomous and independent, and men haven’t adjusted to the shift in culture that has resulted from it. Needing a man to provide resources and security probably lead to a lot of women having to settle for a partner that they didn’t particularly fancy or admire. Now men, have a lot more competition with one another and have to try harder because being single is way easier than being with someone meh for a lot of…

I can be okay with being with a non-college educated guy as long as he shows signs of above-average intellect and curiosity. He doesn’t have to have a degree or make six figures or have a super prestigious job, but he does need to be in a line of work that has a decent market and can consistently bring in money.

TBH, I would probably be the woman doing it lol. As long as the sex is consensual between to adult people, I don’t care. The only time I might judge a little is if the person seeking out a sex worker is in a relationship or married.

Absolutely. Ideally, I would like to have sex every other day. This isn’t a hard and fast thing (stress can cause me to lose interest for durations), but inherently, my partner needs to have a libido that is at least similar to mine. If he isn’t in the mood, though, or has had a loss in libido that is out of character, I can roll with it as long as there is an end in sight.

Say it louder for the deaf ass guys in the back. This is the same argument I’ve used in this sun in the past. Not all women are like this. Average-looking stable women are just invisible to most of these guys because they’re much more focused on hot, trashy girls.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 12:49 AM

You need to learn to be at peace with being by yourself and not focusing on dating. That probably sounds counterintuitive, but I think there is a lot of truth to the old adage “you find someone when you least expect it.” When you put yourself out there into social or hobby groups without the expectation of meeting someone, you walk in acting more yourself and confident, and that in itself I usually attractive. People can tell when you’re desperate or trying too hard, and those are the most massi…

Agreed. This is the dumbest fucking post I’ve seen in awhile. It’s like they can’t even hear themselves talking. I’m going to say something a lot of men on this sub aren’t going to like but they need to hear: your insecurity and fear of your girlfriend leaving/ cheating are YOUR problem, and you need to stop using that as justification for jack-knifing her into constantly giving you proof that she’s not cheating. That’s fucking abusive, and you need to stop expecting other people to go have to d…

If a person has strong religious beliefs, the risk of divorce is 14 percent less and having no religious affiliation makes you 14 percent more likely to get divorced.48. If you’re an evangelical Christian adult who has been married, there’s a 26 percent likelihood that you’ve been divorced—compared to a 28 percent chance for Catholics and a 38 percent chance for non-Christians.49. I think you misunderstand the power of religion. Most of these people who marry young that don’t divorce are doing so because they literally believe they made a life-binding contract and that breaking it results in eternal damnation. Age is such a small factor when religion enters the chat.

Because there's an elephant no one in this subreddit really discusses: adults not dealing with their trauma/ internal issues. People get addicted to drama and suffering in relationships because it quite literally triggers feel good chemicals when the better-feeling end of the ferris wheel (the apology, the make-up, the aftercare moment, etc) comes back around. It's not about people not liking "boring" or "stable" people, it's that people aren't addressing the baggage they picked up in childhood …

Male strength isn't entirely about size. Your limb proportions and the way your ligaments connect your bones also gives your a physical advantage in that you're structural design is built to be able to lift more weight even if you don't have a lot of muscle relative to other males. That's why I would argue that trans women do have a slightly unfair advantage in sports (but that is a whole other topic).

Lol I remember being in my early 20s and having absolutely no interest in guys who were more than 2-3 years older than me. For some women, the “older” look is not sexually attractive, and no amount of money/ security can make up for it, especially if you’re in STEM and plan on supporting yourself anyway. Also, it makes me so sad how many dudes hit their late 20s and decide to grow a beard because they think it looks “manly.” Someone please bring back the clean-shaven look.

In my mind, the best things a couple can do are to not have kids and not move in together lol. Having a baby is often cited as one of the main reasons married women lose interest in sex since she’s usually exhausted try to care for it while balancing other things. There was one study that I read a long time ago that also talked about how the woman’s sex drive decreases after moving in with her partner.

Merely getting dates is much harder for men. I think a lot of it is self-caused, but I also do think women can be insanely picky about the wrong things, especially in their 20s. The sub has also showed me that society is failing men by not allowing them to create the same support networks as women. However, I still think men have the advantage in that they have more facets they can play up to attract a mate. If a dude isn’t attractive, he can have money or charisma/ a sense of humor. Men don’t c…

These are such easy answers to these questions, and it is kind boggling that everything has to be framed like someone is a victim. The honest truth is that life is not easy regardless of your sex, especially if you were born into a lower socioeconomic class. It’s not a competition or a war of the sexes.

Look, this is fucking stupid. Everyone in the situation can have their feelings as long as they act like adults. The men have every right to be disappointed about getting turned down and withdrawing from the situation. It’s all about control. A lot of these dudes are envious their fathers were from an era where it was easy to get a wife because women weren’t financially independent and had to tie themselves to men they neither liked nor were attracted to without much hope for divorce or anything more than a lifetime of taking care of him and his kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/23 12:50 AM

I don’t even fucking know, dude. I am difficult to be with, but I guess there are a few boons. I have a fairly high libido, so daily sex or sex every other day isn’t off the table for my bf. I can be very tender and nurturing towards my partner, especially if they’re having a hard time. You know, I mostly agree with this assessment, but I recently had a conversation with my ex boss's wife about it when I went to help nanny their toddler. I finally got back on Reddit and read this. I can't reason with you because you won't reason with yourself. I did look up your claim about testosterone, and you were right about it not necessarily being linked to violent behavior, but regardless men commit the majority of crimes. Your reasoning is subjective, and I don't understand what you are trying to prove at some points. To be honest, I think it has to do with our innate and taught sense of resource guarding. Friendships have certain constraints unless you live with them and share food and resources, which the individuals then start to look at each other as family. The reason relationships are the aim are because you achieve two things: a higher likelihood of reproductive success and a stable connection you can trust. I think some of the putting of relationships on a pedestal comes from the glamor of it made pop…

I don’t take either pill because I think human behavior, culture, and society make it too complex to just have any single trend within the realm of courtship. With BP, I agree that personality is one of the strongest factors for what women find attractive because I’ve seen some meh looking guys get fail because they have the confidence and charisma to do it. I would rather take a funny, intelligent, sharp witted, somewhat aloof slightly less than average man than a dull hit guy any day. With RP,…

I’ve said this before, but the reason I think the dating arena is so much more challenging in this current era is because humans are not innately designed to tolerate each other but tend to have to for survival. The modern era is radical in that a lot of people may not be wealthy or even be doing great financially, but technology and movement towards more urbanized societies has made it so that we don’t need to directly rely on another person to survive. If we don’t need someone to help us survi…

Fine. Whatever, renting is a form of sharing. Not in the classic sense but I’ll give you a sliver of a point even if it’s unwarranted since it’s technically true. I guess that means we are all shared by everyone. Your wife and your kids share you for resources. My friends share me as a moral support. The major point here that I, as an individual, will not “share” another human being as a romantic partner with others in the same span of time if I can help it. It’s one thing to not know you’re “sh…

Alright, maybe it’s just me, but sharing implies that there is an object (or, in this case, person) that is being utilized in a joint manner during the same span of time. If we want to really get coarse but accurate in language, “renting” would be more fitting. If someone lived in the same apartment before you, you aren’t “sharing” it with them because they’re gone. You’re only sharing an apartment if you’re both renting it at the same time. You both may not always be using it on the same schedu…

Hey now Wiley man, you’re the one suggesting that dating is a form of sharing and appear to be judgmental of women who do it. Can’t project on an observation, really. TBH, I think humans are what they are, but the key lies in us being able to make choices. Fuck everyone. Fuck no one. Fuck one person. It’s whatever. Just live your life true to yourself, and don’t intentionally hurt others along the way. I’m more fascinated that you think of people forming relationships that occur at different poi…

I don’t think you read the paragraph I wrote because I see nothing about sharing. More likely, you’re try to snag me with a loophole in my statement that doesn’t exist. Monogamy to me is pursuing a relationship with the intent of it lasting and being devoted to only that person during the course of it. You’re the one calling people who have had multiple long term relationships as sharers or the shared. It’ll be interesting for you when your children grow up and start dating around. Hopefully the…

But seriously, you probably need to re-evaluate why you look at women as objects. Because for as much as you think I’m full of shit, I assure you the sentiment is reciprocated. I think it’s weird that you jump from agreeing that women share attractive men to viewing women going through long term monogamous relationships as being an object that is passed around. Are we the object being passed, the slutty passers who are willing to degrade themselves by “sharing” the same sexually attractive partn…

I mean, by that logic a vast majority of us are used good then lol. Men, women, transgender people, non-binary, furries, Catholic teenagers who only do anal, etc. Just a little notification here, but people aren’t belongings that you “share” or “sell” or “trade.” I mean I guess you could, but those are generally illegal in first world countries. You didn’t say they were pleasant but you did trivialize it. I’m saying as someone who has watched babies but also done housework, I would almost always rather do housework. That’s not to say it’s a small thing or that men aren’t contributing as much, but childcare (which at this point is still mostly something that women do) is brutal in my opinion because you can’t just walk away or save it for another day. I think the best system is a trade off where the partners take turns doing housework or…

Dude, babies are fucking terrible to watch. They might not require as much manual effort as say fixing the sink, but when you have ten pounds of flesh screaming at you and refusing to stop as you try everything to shut it up, you’re going to get drained fast. I don’t think that that is a very fair assessment. I would way rather do work around the house than watch a baby. At least the housework you can take a lunch break from or let go for a few days.

I think there’s two-fold damage going on. I have this concept I call “Disney Syndrome” in which young girls are raised to think that at some point in life they will meet the man of their dreams and that they will fall in love and get married. This type of mindset is the reason women tend to be pickier than man. It’s not about hypergamy, it’s about wish fulfillment. The reason it looks like women settle in life is because it takes us into our twenties often times to discern what are realistic exp…

I think the general trend is that women’s sex drives are somewhat lower than men’s, but I don’t think the gap is that big. I think the bigger thing is that men are more willing to compromise what they’re attracted to to get laid. However, once that woman is able to bang what she finds to be attractive, she has the capacity to be just as horny as her partner.

Social class, race, upbringing, natural mannerisms/ personality, culture, sexuality, physiological variables (hormone levels, etc), and life experiences. I could go on. An ego is affected by a lot of different variables and shaped from outside as well as within. It’s too complex to pick it apart to simple things. It’s because personality and mannerisms are a large part of it. I’ve seen guys who are slightly above average in attractiveness turn off every woman in the room with their behavior. I think this is the main reason that dating in the 21st century sucks that no one talks about. People in the past had to rely on each other in order to survive so their ability to tolerate each other was more honed. Demisexuality and sapiosexuality are buzzwords. In my opinion, they can describe facets of attraction but are not sexual identities in themselves. Someone might have to be emotionally attracted to someone to have that sexual attraction, but just because they’re emotionally attracted does not mean the physical attraction will follow. Mostly, it means that they need to have an emotional attraction before they can even consider if they’re physically attracted to the person.

Idk what else to tell you other than that the same thing applies for women who have ass and women who are flat. That’s life. The most important thing you can do is just take care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally. This whole “sex and dating are a market” thing is super unhealthy for all of us because we lose worth about ourselves in our own eyes. This is so real lol. I've had so many conversations with female friends about dudes, and the variety in what we find attractive is fairly high. One friend liked slightly pudgy hipster guys with great beards, another friend liked jacked black football players, another liked Mexican dudes with nice biceps and dad bods, and then there's me who likes thin little geeky white or asian guys with glasses. /r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 10:02 AM

You're missing the point though. If it was a MAJOR aspect of female attraction then it would be condemning men below 6' to sexlessness. Ideal maybe, but I think the point of what she is saying is that we often learn that our ideals aren't really great in practice. For instance, she mentioned that sex positions are easier without a lot of height difference which is true.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 09:57 AM

If they have garbage posture and are otherwise unattractive, their height isn't going to help that much. I've met plenty of gawky dudes who weren't conventionally attractive who weren't exactly swimming in pussy. They'll have a slightly easier time than men of the same attractiveness who are shorter, but I sometimes think that women overestimate their attraction to tall men and that men overestimate our attraction to tall men. I myself am fairly neutral about height. I am like 5'4", so 5'8" to 6…

Not really. It's more like we experience objectification more blatantly earlier in life, which is jarring for a lot of us. Many of us end up not being on the preferred end of this objectification spectrum, so we feel the desire to not be shallow because we want to believe that we ourselves have value and that if we can value men who are less conventionally attractive it means we can be valued in return. I just seriously think that people reflect on their shitty relationships and grow from them. Men and women. That’s not the point. The point is that you have to take responsibility for your own sex life and the consequences resulting from it. If you are fucking a crazy bitch with questionable character, you have to acknowledge that if she gets knocked up you aren’t a complete victim because you chose to play Russian roulette with your cock. Sex and relationships are defensive driving. If a single mom gets berated for getting knocked up by some dirtbag who leaves her high and dry, a man who gets trapped…

I don’t think this is healthy when you think of it in the context of someone being a “fixer-upper.” Regardless, we shouldn’t marry or date someone for their status, but when you think of this in an approach to a partner overall from bad boys to nerds to everyone in between, you can’t change anyone. And you shouldn’t try. That is always a road that leads to nowhere. Sure, you can be a supportive partner and be there to help your partner if they want to change, but getting with someone because you…

But u/NarniaFox, don’t you understand that there’s a difference between what people want and what people marry because of AFBB?!/s This is the Salem Witch trials: 2020s Edition. Everything women do is picked apart and there’s no winning, so what’s the point of any of this? Maybe we need to just accept that no matter what we do or say or become, men are always going to despise us for merely being alive.

You are a deeply out of touch individual. For one thing, a lot of rape allegations go nowhere unless there’s physical evidence. This has not changed with any of the awareness of sexual assault being brought to public attention. Yeah, divorce rape is a thing. But you know what else is? Forced shared custody. I know a woman who tried to fight the court to keep her daughter from doing visitations with the father because she suspected he was molesting her, but she wasn’t old enough to testify. It wa…

I was about to jump in with this after reading this conversation thread, but wow… this dude needs a new social scenery lol. The majority of people I know wouldn’t really care about being a virgin or never having been kissed. Surprised maybe, but they wouldn’t make a big deal out of it. And what privileges are those? The privilege to choose someone instead of an arranged marriage? The privilege to be financially autonomous so that we can literally afford to be more selective about our mates? /r/PurplePillDebate25/06/21 06:18 PM

Danny DeVito has entered the chat I know I know it doesn’t count he’s famous. I disagree though. I don’t see a lot of conventionally attractive women go for guys who are both bald and overweight, but I’ve met more than a few who ended up with guys having one of those traits. It tends to be more common the older the couple is when they marry, but that’s a given since weight gain and hair loss go hand in hand with aging.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/21 02:35 AM

I’m not saying guys are not aware that non-overweight is preferred for women. It’s more like I see that guys tend to verbally express it more than women, and it sometimes seems like dudes don’t think it’s as much of a turn off for us as it is for them.

One trait I would like in a partner is someone who wants to participate in/ give to their community and the global community. A lot of people on here have pointed out that part of the issue is economics. It takes two working people to really provide for a family, and it takes two above average salaries to do this while paying a house mortgage. Most people (men and women) want children at some point, so when the economy makes this as difficult as humanly possible, the point for pairing up becomes moot. People are more likely to have to take “shallow” variables like their partner’s pay/ salary into account. The classical…

Yeah, standards are varying so any give-and-take for people should be something they negotiate with themselves. Standards aren’t really so much of an exact list as they are just a set of priorities if the person is realistic.

Women are naturally attracted to masculine traits, but the expression of those traits aren’t limited to looks and stereotypical dominance. I think another thing is that women can be attracted to certain masculine traits but not others. For instance, Spock was a sex symbol back in the day but he wasn’t the traditional man’s man like Kirk. Okay, so I have a question for you. Why do you feel like you’re entitled to sex with women? Or maybe a specific woman? This isn’t about fairness it’s about people getting to choose who they want to have sex with, and if you’re not it then you’re not it. This is universal. If a woman you didn’t want to bang propositioned you, you turned her down, and she yelled at you about it being unfair, you’d probably be like “piss off.” Most normal people’s reaction would be that. Okay, Dad lol What I’m saying is that who in their right minds would want McDonald’s when they could have five star food if they could afford it? My main problem with your argument is that Becky does get a lot of the blame in these circles while Chad gets away Scott-free just because every man wants to be Chad. What makes me roll my eyes is that you’re all willing to give Chad the free pass because you know if you were in his situation yo…

Maybe because if Chad stopped fucking Becky and stuck with Stacy, the entire world system constructed by the red pill wouldn’t be a thing? I don’t believe any of this is a thing, but when I look at the reasoning behind the dynamic that red pill claims is at play, I notice that all of this is hinged on Chad banging Becky and making Brad irrelevant. The other thing I don’t understand is why Chad would want to have sex with Becky. If he wants sex, there are plenty of slutty Stacys to go around. Hot…

Idk. I don’t make these rationalizations. Trauma fucks up people’s thinking. I’m just explaining to you the thought process. And to be quite honest, you would be surprised at how common narcissists and assholes are. However, I’d assume the same for women. At the end of the day, I think we are just as terrible as we’ve always been but now we no longer get married by obligation. When you think about it, it’s liberating to know you don’t have to wake up in a shattered illusion one day when you real…

Once again, I’m saying that the choices she gave us were hot POS or average POS. But even if women decided that no man is better than an average man, it’s their life choice. What I’m also trying to highlight to you is that by the commenter’s tone and words, to her there probably is no non-abusive guy. That’s probably right. But I think the women getting the degree isn’t the issue and more the sense of unfair attitudes towards educated men that is the issue. Yes, it is common in college educated women, but I think society would be better pressed to push women towards being okay as the bread maker instead of saying women getting degrees is an issue.

Dude... I’m not justifying sleeping with hot guys who are going to lose and abuse you. I’m saying that if you are presented with the choice to be used and abused by a hot guy or an average guy, it’s the same thing as being given a vomit-worthy shot with a chaser versus without. The only logical answer in this situation is to just not date any guy and invest in a decent dildo. FWIW, I don’t think all men are abusive, and I certainly have met men ranging from the ugly caliber all the way up to the…

Idk, man. I've felt pressure to stay thin since I hit puberty, but maybe it's a me thing. Even when I enter relationships, I continue to monitor my weight because I feel like it's negligent, unthoughtful, and selfish to not try to maintain sexual appeal for your partner after the honeymoon phase, regardless of sex. It was a discrepancy in my first relationship because I tried to stay thin and hot for him, but he didn't appear to care to return the sentiment; I just chalk it up to us wanting and …

I'm not saying I 100% agree with her, but you are missing the point. She's not saying getting used and abused by someone mega hot is better than a nice normal relationship with an average man. She's saying a lot of women have been used and abused by average dudes, so if we're going to be used and abused it might as well be by the hotter guy because we at least get something out of it. I think when people sum up one sex as intrinsically having traits (women being hypergamous/ men being purely s…

You're welcome! That's the point of the sub, or it should be at least. I feel like I've learned a lot about struggles men face and hope it has made me a more empathetic person as a whole. My answer is literally “yes” because regardless of your choice as a woman, the men on this sub who are in the hard red zone will find a reason to crucify you for it unless it involves giving they themselves a chance. “Women are solipsists” is a projection of their inner microcosm where everything revolves around whether or not their dick is being sucked or someone is validating them the way their mother never did.

Part of my hope is that in the continuation of cultural progress, the “women are wonderful” concept as well as the “pussy pass” will start to fade from public consciousness. I hate it because it gives a bunch of angry guys a reason to shit on “modern women” and to long for the older days where we married the first guy we fucked and were SAHMs. I honestly don’t even care that much about the gaslighting or psychological abuse tactics used by men subscribing to this movement to get laid because people who are abusive in nature will figure out how to do it right eventually, regardless of TRP or not. The reason I come on here to argue about TRP is because it almost alway…

Actually, some studies have showed that men tend to overestimate their attractiveness while women tend to underestimate or be on point. It also showed that women tend to be more on point when rating others when looking at objective attractiveness (like symmetry) than their male peers, regardless of where they are at on the attractiveness scale.

Not really, no. Fake niceness is nauseating regardless of sex, but women are conditioned to have to work towards it because most of us were raised to avoid being “the bitch” since no one likes the bitch. We get away with it more because we’re better at it because we’re raised to have to be better at it. The only reason nice guys get flack is because they are extremely transparent about what they’re doing. I’ve noticed women who never got the hang of fake niceness get the same kind of flack, but …

If we could just copy paste this all over this sub, that would be great. Unfortunately, it’ll get picked to death by semantics because everyone wants their personal situation to be validated with statistical support. The ugly truth that really isn’t that hard to accept is that no matter how you spin it, hot people are always going to have the sexual and romantic advantage regardless of their sex. Everything in this comment represents why I can’t do OLD. There’s nothing interesting about just swiping on someone and matching with them because it takes away all mystery. My theory is that people who are compatible and would be attracted to each other IRL are easily passing by each other in OLD (even if they manage to get a date or two) because it makes dating so stale and forced-feeling. I think it’s easier for people to fall in love or be open to it when they aren’t walking into a situation…

The point she’s making is not virtue signaling. It’s saying that not all of us do shitty things like use our male friends. If men do the same things for men she’s done for her male friends, the big picture here is that her friendship with them is just as loving and giving to her male friends as most men are in their friendships with each other. So if we buy you an ice cream cone every once in awhile and help you move, will it be enough? If we talk to you about girl problems and comfort you when things go wrong and provide any advice we can when you have issues, is that going to be enough? For many men I know, this is enough. For the men on here? I don’t think anything short of sex or romance will ever be seen as adequate.

I do not want friends of any thing specific like sex but rather just kind of befriend people with whom I have a good rapport and shared interests/ goals/ philosophies. I don’t share this sentiment I suppose. I believe that if we want things to improve, we have to die trying to improve them. This is 200% true in both party settings and other kinds of scenarios. I’m friends with a lot of different guys, and the ones who are simultaneously the most frustrated and least successful in dating are the ones constantly looking for it and who never let things just happen naturally. From my personal observations, being physically attractive can get you the dates, but your behavior in social settings and how easy insecurities are to detect determine if these dating experiences are successful. I agree with this. The assumptions I make about red pillers are mostly in regard to behavior. I assume they’re from all walks of life though. The same goes for FDS. It’s the basic principle of it, but self-improvement isn’t something TRP came up with or that is inherent to only it. It’s been here long before TRP and will be long after it. Eh, fair enough. I don’t necessarily think that men are all thirsting after senior women, but I feel like the mere concept of MILF porn infers that a fair part of the male population is at least sexually intrigued by the idea of a woman who may be past her physical prime but is in the fountain of her sexual prime. I’m not sure if it’s been contradicted yet, but I remembered hearing for the longest time that a woman’s sexual prime is in her 30s, 40s, sometimes 50s.

She was beautiful in youth and is attractive now, but she is still clearly past her prime. She’s aged fairly well, but she’s not aged so well that you think she’s ten years younger than she is. Basically, what I’m trying to say is that I don’t think age is as important as other variables when considering sexual attractiveness. If men only wanted sexy, youthful partners who were fertile (creepy fucking word that I’ve seen thrown around here a lot, but I guess has context to a lot of discussions) …

I agree with you because I think that concessions need to be made in issues like this that do not favor the freedom of one sex over the other sex. Women should be free from forced pregnancy because it allows a man to have control over her body and the direction of her life, but men should be able to opt out of being a provider for a child if he didn’t intend to or doesn’t want to be because that would give a woman control over him. Both cases are entirely unfair, regardless of the “it takes two …

For a change, this is something on here that I can agree with. Men shouldn’t have a say in forcing women to go through with a pregnancy if she doesn’t want it, but men shouldn’t be forced into fatherhood if they don’t want it.

You’re trying to bring in an argument that relies on empathy in a sun full of people who lack it. I agree with you; I literally had this argument with a friend today. People think that just because you don’t have to have formal education for a lot of these occupations means that you don’t have the “skills” to get paid well or adequately, which is downright wrong. There has got to be some way for us to see how much work goes into all of these jobs and that the way we are paying labor/ service job…

And men don’t prefer women who have more feminine physical traits? If we’re attracted to men with masculine traits then fuck us, but it’s totally okay that you guys want women with waist to hip ratios, large eyes, and a delicately structured face? AF/ BB is a joke. So I checked out your papers. I’ve already seen a lot of this research and known about it for quite some time, but the only portion of it that really backs red pill sentiments was the whole women being more likely to engage in extra pair bonded flirtation with more masculine men than their partner when they rated that they found their partner lower in attractiveness and the partner gate-keeping. In discussions on here though, no one would mention or even care about the part where women who are p…

I think men most certainly do look for looks and chemistry in women. We know you guys are definitely looking at physical attractiveness, but I think a lot of guys want chemistry too. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be looking for women who are gamers or not into “basic girl shit” or who want “deep talks.” Money and power less so, but I think it’s being more common to see the woman as the breadwinner. I guess the way I view it is that their failure to find purpose outside of a monogamous relationship is their own fault. I'll say the same for women who react in this way. Actually, for anyone. The unfortunate fact of life is that nobody is owed a romantic partner, but we're the first generation who's probably going to experience this to a very harsh degree. There's the old saying that "everyone deserves someone" which I think is mostly true, but deserving something doesn't necessarily guarantee…

Yeah. I guess, I'm just trying to make the point that sex for men and women (or anyone who identifies between) is an affair that often isn't without some degree of self-focus. "Look how I made my partner orgasm." "I'm happy I made them feel that good when we got it on." These statements could be made by anyone, so I'm just saying that I think sex will always involve the ego regardless of sex. A lot of men have suggested that sex is often validating for them. I think it’s more like people are aware that components they need in a relationship are missing even if they don’t know what or haven’t experienced it. The survey grouped it together in a way that did not reflect the actual limits for age. It is literally a fact that if the Millennial birth range is 1983-1995 then there are other age groups on there too. You’re also neglecting that the age range where women reported more cheating was by 1%. Take that into consideration that there was a Gen Z mix in there too, and the supposed “hypergamous cheating level that are sky rocketing” don’t really look what you’re making them out to be.

I literally said I do think that men are more sexually driven than women. What I’m saying we’re not different in is that both are going to take the best they can get. All I’m asking is that guys who are mad about women being “hypergamous” realize that EVERYONE evaluates potential partners on what they bring to the table. When that study was performed, it was 2018. It included people 18-29 in the demographic that you referenced. In 2018, 23-35 was the age range for Millennials which means part of Gen Z accounted for the 18-29 statistics. In the context of divorce and women filing it the majority of the time, think about all the age groups this includes. The statistics in there said that only 17% of divorces are reported as a result not related to cheating. When you look at it in the big picture and put the pieces together, the majority of divorces are likely a result of men cheating on women who then file divorce because fuck that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/21 10:55 PM

Bro, the Millennial age group does include people in their 30s where the difference in cheating is more pronounced than the 1% difference for people in their 20s. Fuck if I know. I don’t think the government cares or should care about people personal problems like that. Make it your own mandate when you get with a woman, but shit like that isn’t something you can just “mandate” people into doing at a National scale.

You forgot to read the rest of the study. However, as the figure above indicates, this gender gap varies by age. Among ever-married adults ages 18 to 29, women are slightly more likely than men to be guilty of infidelity (11% vs. 10%). But this gap quickly reverses among those ages 30 to 34 and grows wider in older age groups. In general, men are more likely than women to cheat: 20% of men and 13% of women reported that they’ve had sex with someone other than their spouse while married, accordin…

That is my fault for tangling various possibilities. All I ever here about on here is one specific dynamic, and I should have laid out my argument better. You got me on this. I suppose part of it is that I'm working with general observations and a variety of narratives that I've watched play out. If I were to consider my contradicting statements, I'd say that mentally healthy women do not continuously fall into abusive situations but do still have to create learning curve. I'd so almost all youn…

Right, and we never hear stories about dudes dating insane, abusive hot girls? I think the only reason it's in public conscious is because women are able to discuss abuse with less stigma, which is unfortunate because we definitely need to be able to recognize and address it happening to men too. Accepting abuse for love is NOT a biological thing relegated to the sexes. It is generally a phenomenon that happens when people grow up in an environment where abuse in romantic situations is normal or…

I’m not selling you piss. You’re drinking your own piss by being mad at me for pointing out that a lot of you have no reason to turn this into a “women are the problem” crusade when the phenomenon I described literally happens to both sexes. You clearly think there is a problem with how women navigate the modern dating world. You’ve mentioned that you feel like women prefer a segment of the male population that is hot but settle for less attractive guys, usually at the detriment of the less attractive partner. I’m saying that assuming all of this is self serving on the female side and not motivated by genuine love is wrong. In general, the belief in the entire AF/ BB dynamic negates the idea that can women start to value other trait…

It’s because you’re acting like women have some master scheme to fuck a bunch of hot guys before roping in some poor average looking sap when that’s a one-sided and one-dimensional view of dating behavior that also completely ignores the fact that men do the same thing. I don’t have an agenda, but it makes sense you would think I do since you don’t assume women are dating for the same reasons as men because you think we’re scheming, morally corrupt banshees.

Deliberately oblivious is a matter of your life experience but my perception makes sense to the things I’ve encountered. I don’t care if you go your own way or if any man does that, but I will call out misogyny and incorrect generalizations when I see it. Don’t date women, do date them. Whatever will make you happy. Don’t, however, think men are morally superior to women unless you enjoy living in a fantasy land.

No. But I’m saying most people in their youth are careless and shallow, so if they have the social skills to get laid they will. As I’ve already said, the careless and shallow normies can have you. I never implied I wanted you or anyone here to want me anyway. That’s a funny way of trying to make me feel inferior to you by hypothetically rejecting me in a conversation when there are plenty of things you could retort. Where the fuck are you even getting that from what I said? I’m saying people want to sow their oats and often do, but it’s not sex-based. Average guys do it. Average girls do it. The only reason some of these guys aren’t doing it are because they don’t have normal social skills. Average people sow their oats with other people who are average. People do get sick of being treated bad after a certain point, so I’m saying women value conventional hotness less with time if they get mistreated by these “Chads.” You aren’t just attracted to looks, so I’d argue that these women are attracted to some of the emotional components in these beta men too. You make a great point. There’s a lot of mixed messages about romance and dating in media, most of the rally for singleness coming from the argument it leaves you open to sleep around and sow your oats. However, that’s a luxury mostly for attractive people. On the side of the coin where relationships are romanticized, attractive people once again benefit from having an easier ability to enter relationships. I think you missed the point. I’m saying people are allowed to change and grow. There’s a lot of discussions on here about how the women who marry these “beta bucks” don’t love them and are just using them for financial support, so what I’m arguing is that that is erroneous. Almost everyone begins their entrance into the dating world with shallow wants and notions. This includes men. I certainly would like a relationship that is fulfilling in all facets. What do you mean men are completely accurate? As in, they accurately understand their “league” better than women? I don’t think anyone should settle because it usually doesn’t work out in the long run. I’ve seen men go through the same thing dating super hot girls over and over until figuring out it’s not worth it. This isn’t sex specific. I think the attitude you see is transitional. There’s some cognitive dissonance between people shifting from gender roles into a more progressive mindset. What does the average male in 2020 offer in exchange for complete or near complete life long sexual exclusivity? Say it louder for the people in the back. It used to be that men had to bring something to the table back when a woman’s father guarded her virginity. It was a bidding chip that insured the suitor children she was having were his, but in turn, he had to prove that his reputation and finances would uphold her as well as her family name. We don’t live in those barbaric times anymore but…

I’m not mad at these guys for quitting dating, but I am saying that they have no reason for being misogynistic pricks and hating women when the thing they did wrong was to either pick someone who was not a good person or placing the source of their pain on an entire group of people instead of the one or few who actually caused the damage. There are terrible people from both sexes, but they don’t represent the entire sex. Stay away from women if pursuing them brings you more pain than good. Just …

The problem is that if people weren’t so gung-ho about getting married fast and making it a priority to not wind up alone, there would be less instances where the kids are even brought into the picture. You should be able to tell what a person is like before you marry them, and if they aren’t loving you for who you are, then you just need to end that situation. Not to mention, growing up in a household where the adults are clearly engaged in an unhealthy relationship will be more detrimental to …

I guess I don’t know why it has to be a “thing” or why it’s so discussed on here. If someone uses sex as a way to manipulate you, they just weren’t the right person. I also don’t meet a lot of women out trying to hook men who they aren’t attracted to just for money.

I don’t see why men who experience this can’t just walk away from the woman. If he feels like she’s using sex to control him, she’s probably not a good person. He doesn’t have to stay in that situation though.

I frankly don’t care if men are banging and passing up on single moms out to shark a provider because who people want to bang but not marry is their choice. It’s not sexist to have standards or a preference. It is a jerk move to use someone for sex if they expect more, but if they’re looking to use someone for money they likely deserve it. I will argue though that men can and do age just as poorly as women. I think there are guys who were less attractive in their twenties who focus on their appe…

I’m well aware the market gets shittier and shittier with age because it’s already worse than it was when I was in college, but I don’t see why people on here can’t just avoid any of the single moms out to nab a provider. And if the market is almost mostly consisting of them, then accept that the time to find a mate is probably over. I can concur with you that I don’t do this either but will also take a stab at it. In my mind, when someone of either sex makes more serious prospects wait, if they aren’t stringing the person along then they’re doing it because they compartmentalized two different parts of their life. They genuinely want to pursue the more serious prospect and would prefer for sex to not get in the way of the stage where the two people are still evaluating one another and trying to understand if they make sense…

I used to be told that men were less likely to approach women who they perceived as being “too intelligent” because it meant that they probably wouldn’t be as easy. I’d say this is a valid point. When I look at this though, I’m assuming that there’s a higher number of men who might be extreme genius level and then extremely below average. The Wikipedia thing I read was more of a skim, but is it that there is just a higher proportion of men at extremes or how much does it equal out at various points above and below average? Okay, I understand what you mean and can agree on those points. Regardless of sex, I think that lack of self introspection is unhealthy and a very unattractive trait. I don’t see how this is a feel good message. The message is that a lot of intelligent women are not able to find equally intelligent partners or at least partners who equally value intellectualism. I don’t see how a “brains match” doesn’t exist if a looks match does. I agree that if we want to attract people we do have to play by the physical rules of attraction. This is inherently funny because statistics show that educated women are experiencing a deficit in equally educated peers. This means that there are a lot of single college grad women. I just think the “changing with someone” thing is kind of risky. Having a “life change” partner does not imply you will grow together. You might start out with common interests and goals but grow into completely incompatible directions. If would have chosen a husband at 20, he probably would’ve been a wrong choice for me. I’d just like to chime in on this because it actually came up in a discussion I had recently. I don’t think women value getting an orgasm out of a sexual situation as much as men. However, that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy it as much. In my own personal observations, a woman is more likely to rate a situation as successful if she had an orgasm, but I think that we’re maybe more conditioned (and to an extent, biologically wired) to find gratification in the idea of something or the essence of a …

My best friend from high school, myself, and a couple of mutual friends we have from high school are a few of the people I know for sure are still single. Sketching nude models was one of my favorite parts of a drawing class I took. The woman herself was a beautiful little yoga instructor, and I found myself fascinated and in awe of being able to see how her muscles flexed and stretched under her skin. When you say gay my dude, that means gay and not bisexual. That being said, a relationship is hinged on trust, including trust with members of the opposite sex. If a man can’t trust their partner to be faithful with other men and have never given them a reason to not trust them, the dude shouldn’t be in a relationship. The same goes for a woman in those shoes.

I remember biting my nails taking ex-boyfriends out with friends because I was afraid of how they’d embarrass me by not…

It’s just a manifestation of the good ole’ Madonna-Whore Complex with a new take. Women who are eager to have sex with a man disgust him because he thinks it means she has done this with many other men and is “ruined.” Women who withhold sex though, instead of being seen as frigid prudes as they had been, are just seen as “picky, Chad-hunting whores.” Whore if you do, whore if you don’t. Some of this thinking angers me, but it also saddens me because it is almost as if some of these guys don’t t…

That not all women and feminists are unreasonable and just want to have their cake and eat it too. Some of us believe women should be a part of a draft if one happens. Some of us go Dutch on dates because we think that if we’re going to shift towards leaving gender roles, we need to leave ALL gender roles, including the ones that are beneficial to us. Some of us think women need to receive equal punishment as men for sexual offenses. I don’t want an educated husband because I’m expecting him to …

Thank you. I can’t say how many times I’ve observed people of both sexes trash an entire half of the population because of their genitals instead of realizing that maybe all of their bad experiences are coming from their inability to prioritize better traits when pursuing partners as well as the complete inability to understand how their own actions/ behaviors affect others.

Woman chiming in. I love gender neutral clothing because it’s just designed to be functional. I also go out of my way to buy men’s flannel because it’s not some gauze thin pink-plaid monstrosity. I would say I’m a part of the “women need actual pockets in their pants” camp but my ire goes a lot deeper. I used to buy my jeans from a western store outlet, and they were REAL FUCKING JEANS. They didn’t have crosses bedazzled on the butt cheeks, they were made of a starchy material that didn’t just s…

I hate that musicals are for “gays and women” too because I had the most fun with all of the straight guys when I did productions back in my high school days. My two best male friends are a pair of movie buffs who watch any and everything but also love musicals. When Zima got put out into stock again, they both couldn’t get enough of it. One of them has been my best friend since HS and was the lead in every musical; he’s nervous and sensitive and touchy feely, so a lot of people always thought t…

Lol okay. Because every guy I dated was totally a Chad and not some kind of anime-loving, cosplaying, athletically challenged dork-knob./s The guys who think all women only want Chads (which is just a stupid term to begin with) are the kinds of men who only go for “Stacies.” Someone made a post about hipsters bang hipsters, which is pretty straight on. It follows that nerds bang nerds.

Lol this was kind of my college experience too. One thing I think is that hipsters, being more body positive among their liberal traits, are usually less self conscious than frat guys and willing to just put themselves out there. It also makes them less fickle about the conventional attractiveness of their sex partners. Hipsters want to approach sex from the point of view that it’s an experience not an accomplishment. On top of the fact that they can almost always bag hipster girls like you said…

The fact that this basic logic seems to evade some men on here really frankly astonishes me. Most of the dudes on here would choose an Insta hottie over an average looking, awkward egghead-ette if they were given the choice between them. It feels like a lot of these dudes think women are the only ones who reject looks matches... I don't see how the mindset is to get mad instead of get good.

This. But I think it extends beyond just the concept of SMV, RMV, or men. I think if everyone realized that this isn’t a game of genes and more about self-improvement, society itself would change for the better. People get mad when they’re not as “innately” desirable as the next person over, but I don’t think a lot of people understand that “high value” men and women usually put in the work to be high value. I think people on here also highly underestimate the value of charisma. I’ve seen some s…

Absolutely. My only requirement would be that the people interested in utilizing my eggs for potential offspring would be notified of my history of mental/ physical health. My body is in pretty good shape besides a little sculiosis and seasonal asthma, but I’m more worried about them understanding that I have chronic anxiety with occasional bouts of depression, quite possibly a form of OCD, and ADHD. I think people should know what they’re getting themselves into as well as any potential sufferi…

It is 100% an Attack on Titan parody! I was really into it when I made my account. He had a LOT of problems. What I’m trying to highlight I guess is that insecurity can get bad if people don’t get a grip on it. It’s okay to be a little intimidated, but it’s not okay to ever take it out on your partner.

My previous relationship had this problem. I’d only ever had sex with one person before him (a boyfriend in a three year long relationship) but had messed around and made out with a handful of other people. He was completely virginal besides making out. He was already insecure and emotionally unstable so this threw alcohol onto an already toxic relationship. If anything so much reminded him of the fact that I’d had sex before him or been intimate with other people, he would take it out on me by …

I think it’s just about learning how to appreciate people with the understanding that even if a grand romance unfolds, nobody will ever be perfect for you and that they are human. I think it also helps when you start to become extra vigilant for red flags. This can also kind of “ruin the person” for you, but like all things there is a balance that can be reached.

I feel bad for the guys who are here clearly because they've experienced such a strong sense of rejection it's injured them. Whether they know it or not, women can experience this too. Myself included. I just lose any form of pity for the ones who jump all onboard for the "women are dumb Chad-fucking troglodytes who need to learn their place and fuck me." Where the Red Pill idealism ALMOST strikes gold is the idea of don't get mad get smart. But I sometimes think their way of getting smart and j…

The other thing I wonder is how the people who are more dedicated to this group's conceptualization of the world react when they encounter women who don't entirely fit the scope they've relegated them to. Some women prefer "beta" looking guys, some aren't looking for "resources", and some might even be devout about going Dutch on dates.

I think this movie is a perfect example of how two people who are assholes for completely different reasons have to make each other suffer in order to develop. JGL has to learn that it’s hurtful to one’s self and your partner when you fall in love with the idea of them, while ZD is an entire lesson on why settling not only hurts you but is disrespectful to the other person. I see people of both sexes point out how this movie demonstrates ways the opposite sex sucks but to me it seems like a love…

100% this. I’m astounded at how many users on here buy into pseudoscientific evolutionary psychology nonsense. One thing I notice is that a lot of dudes on here that are hard into TRP try to justify primordial animal behavior attributed to our ancestors as directly translating into the modern day, which just isn’t accurate. A lot of the behavior that is primal is the kind that is more reflexive, such as our eyes being drawn to certain parts of the body in assessing others or certain physiologica…

This. Well, less so law school students maybe. I knew a LOT of pre-med students, and most of them had an established relationship or were married by the time they went to med school. This isn’t to say they aren’t desirable (a lot of them are sexually attractive, male and female), but the majority of these students were either outright insufferable or almost there. People say you can make up for shortcomings by being really really hot, but at the end of the day someone who is annoying/ hard to to…

I’m like Jay Blizerian. I wanna fuck everyone. Well, this was an unexpected Big Mouth reference I am surprised but not unpleased to run across in this sub lol but on a side note, I feel like a lot of people don’t really talk about this character when discussing the show, but I think he’s arguably one of the funniest fucking characters in the show.

With OLD and social media being the primary dating mechanism of our generation, the folks with "mass appeal" are finding the most success. Just wait until virtual reality rises up to blow everyone out of the water.

This struck me too in the comment. Detaching hurt feelings from rejection to see the perspective of the rejector can be difficult. We all want to be wanted by the people we want, but it’s just not a practical concept in reality. The moment I put my entitled attitude in check was when I reflected on how it felt to live in a culture where I have the freedom to reject suitors that I’m not at all interested in dating because it made me realize that every single one of us, men and women, will be the …

This is one of the most sane things I’ve seen on this sub, and I thank you for it. I have no idea where I fall on the attractiveness scale, but I gave up on fixating on whether or not I’m “competitive” with other single women because I’ve had some dudes completely disagree with me about girls I think are attractive. Yeah, there is a general consensus on certain things that aren’t seen as attractive, such as people who don’t take care of themselves or groom well, but I’ve seen a whole host of peo…

I mean, not to be that guy, but Twilight was written by a woman who’s apart of a misogynistic religious community (Mormon) where it’s easier for female abuse to go unchecked through the guise of “God requires men to be dominant protectors and women to be submissive, fragile objects needing shielding”, especially the abuse in Twilight where it’s more centered on controlling behavior towards the female MC but not necessarily outright physical abuse. On the other hand, Fifty Shades of Grey is liter…
