This is the best answer on the subject I've ever read. OP, a prenup can say whatever you want it to say. It can include some provisions for her, including vesting equity in the shared house and limited payouts, if that's what you want. But stick to your guns. Not having one really shifts the balance of power against you, and some people who you would never expect can be tyrants with using their leverage.

It's possible for both to be true; for there to be injustices against both men and women in a country of 1 billion+ people. I don't think one can safely make sweeping judgments about India as a whole from this one headline.

Your nuanced, thoughtful reply is appreciated. There's certainly room for debate about the proportion of false accusations. My comment above was related to an experience i had on this sub last year. People were claiming that most accusations made by women against men were false and malicious, which appears different than the point I think you're making. It felt like victim-blaming by angry people who had lost their perspective.

First off, I didn't do a literature review before my initial post. I was going off of memory and the 5% number was what came to mind. If you're looking at wikipedia, you'll see a lot of studies from different sources (like the FBI and LAPD) and different countries that tend to converge around 5%-10%. Well, there's hope that it will end well when the suit brought by the boy's parents works its way through the justice system. Perhaps it will serve as an example and deterrence for people to not make false accusations, and for other schools, teachers, and administrators to take appropriate action when false accusations are made.

Burden of proof fallacy: You made the claim, I rejected it. The burden of proof is on you to prove that everybody left of center thinks that "anything associated with men is evil". I'm left of center. I don't think things associated with men are evil. Ergo claim is false. You're also moving the goal posts.
