Sure, if you just completely ignore all context, this post makes sense.

In the past 3 years of being at my high school, there have been 3 girls-only field trips to companies like Lyft and FaceBook. We’ve had to girls-only panels to encourage them to get interested in computer science. And how many of these same opportunities have there been for guys? Zero.

She was already found wrong during the summer. Neymar has been clear for months now. What cleared him was the text messages he quickly showed off, and a video he recorded of their next meet up where the woman hit him.

Has L’Oréal caught up with the other makeup companies in using some men to advertise their makeup products yet? Would be a shame if they haven’t.

I hate the “think of all the women and children.” How about the innocent men? I doubt all of them are involved in war and such. Let’s care about them too.

All of your examples aren’t even pertinent to this conversation. A kid wearing a dinosaur costume to a funeral is inappropriate. A boy wearing a dress is not inappropriate. Also, none of this had to do with transgender people, which is an entirely different subject. (Not to mention, Sexual Reassignment Surgery, or SRS, requires the person to be 18 to undergo it. Not to mention, the surgery doesn’t involve cutting someone’s dick off at all. You’re clearly misinformed.)

I’m literally promoting men being able to be themselves without receiving judgment from society. You shouldn’t be against that.
/r/MensRights18/12/19 12:24 AM

That’s simply untrue. Sure, men are different than women, but to say there’s no cases where we can relate is just stupid. We’re all human. Stop trying to divide the genders so much.
/r/MensRights18/12/19 12:23 AM

No, you’re going to force them to have your exact same thoughts and interests. They’re entirely different people. When we come out of the womb, we don’t have any genders assigned to clothing. You didn’t come out of the womb believing that dresses were for women, you were told that by your parents. If you force your son to not wear what he likes, do what he likes, etc. simply because he is a boy then you are both sexist and a terrible parent. You are literally not allowing your son to be himself …

A person can be both masculine and “feminine.” You don’t need to remove one to be the other.

Or it’s because boys already know they can be macho men. Boys aren’t shamed for trying out for American football or doing dirty work. They are however shamed for wearing dresses and such (see this comment section).

Finally, a breath of fresh air in this thread. People claiming that our society will collapse if we do as much step out of gender roles, even though women have been doing that for the past century and our society is still up and running.

Strong men can and do wear dresses as well. Justifying bullying people because of their clothing preferences simply because they’re a guy is sexist.

I’d prefer boys had good role models. The genitalia of the person shouldn’t matter.
/r/MensRights17/12/19 07:19 PM

And what many men are is “feminine.” I hate to burst your bubble, but not every man desires to grow up to provide for their family and be “the pants of the relationship.” Also, a man can still do this role while wearing dresses and having other “feminine” interests. You only want to make sure only a certain group of men have a happy and fulfilling life. Any man that takes an interest in anything “feminine” may as well rot in your eyes, right? Holy shit, a guy liking dresses and princesses isn’t …

Last Halloween I saw countless little girls dressing up as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Harry Potter, and other popular male characters. I don’t see these little girls having an identity crisis. So why would little boys have one, exactly?
/r/MensRights17/12/19 06:29 PM

Men can toughen up and face their demons in a dress. Also, this is a little boy, not an adult man. He’s allowed to play pretend and dress up, it’s called childhood.
/r/MensRights17/12/19 06:28 PM

“Feminine” refers to the stereotypical interests and traits women have in our society that aren’t rooted in any form of biology or fact, i.e. as you view culture to culture they change. Unfortunately when you only have 300 characters, it’s kind of impossible to add an explanation of what I mean. If you have any other words I should use, suggest them.

Man, I thought this subreddit was for supporting men. But apparently there’s many users like you who love being sexist right to them and masquerading it as “saving society.” Your entire theory is based off of feminine = bad.

A man wearing a dress and having a role model that happens to be a woman is not suddenly not masculine anymore. I’d be curious to hear your view of masculinity. I’m willing to bet that it’s confining, limited, and doesn’t allow for men to be themselves, but that’s okay because it works for you. But go ahead, prove me wrong.
/r/MensRights17/12/19 06:17 PM
-3

And why not exactly? Both have traits and qualities that every person could benefit from. I’m not saying likes make men completely feminine, but let’s make it okay to be a blend of both. Also, men being able to be a bit more feminine doesn’t make them weak. There is nothing inherently weak about being feminine, that’s just a sexist idea. Every man is different. We can’t keep shoving every single boy into this box of having to try and be a “manly, macho man” when there’s many boys who can’t fit i…

I’m a guy. Sometimes I wear heels and other “women’s” shoes. And guess what? I’m made fun of by women for it. So if I stop wearing them and just wear my sneakers, I’m made fun of. If I continue wearing a more diverse set, I’m made fun of. It’s a lose-lose.

Can relate. I’m a guy who wears some “girl’s” clothes (dresses, skirts, leggings, etc.), I sometimes wear makeup, I do some stereotypically “feminine” activities, etc. My whole life I’ve been bullied for doing these things. While I saw girls being encouraged to try out male-dominated sports and being told they can wear whatever they want, I was dealing with people telling me to “man up”, stop being a sissy, and treated pretty bad sometimes. What’s also bad is how many men have this mentality to …

The costume they are in is Elsa, a character from a movie called Frozen 2, which released last Friday (I believe). The son is obviously a big fan of Frozen 2 and wanted to dress up as Elsa, the main character. He is being himself by not suppressing his interest in a movie that is typically viewed as “for girls” and not shying away from a costume because a female character wore it. Also, girls dress up as male characters all the time. Countless girls dress up as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Darth Vader,…

Not to mention, that kid in the picture is actually a boy. It can be hard for a boy to have the confidence to wear a dress when they want to wear one (I would know as a guy who sometimes wears dresses). His dad is setting a good example by helping him feel comfortable in it and being himself.

I liked the Hunger Games franchise a shit ton and never once cared about the fact Katniss has a vagina instead of a penis. The movie was pretty clear of in-your-face gender politics, it didn’t disrespect men in the process of uplifting Katniss, and the movies were entertaining (besides Mockingjay Pt. 1). Make more stuff like that and I’ll go watch the movies.

So the solution to discrimination against women is... discrimination against boys? Also, women make up the majority of college graduates, and that percentage is growing each year. Continuing these practices of shoving guys to the wayside in school only contributes to this.

My school used to have a very good co-ed coding/computer science club. The student leaders were great, and we had a great computer room to use with lots of resources available. Then “Girls Who Code” came in. Right away, they took the computer room we used, forcing the co-ed club to move to some normal classroom and use Chromebooks that can’t run most things we used to do. My school is around 65-70% Asian. I’ve seen white classmates be harassed because of their race, and there’s nothing they can do about it. If an Asian student calls a white student “the next school shooter”, everyone laughs, and if the white kid were to reply “shut up dog eater” or some other racial stereotype, they’d be sent to the principal’s office. As a guy who wears “short shorts”, I get a lot of girls who suggest that I should wear longer shorts. Oh, and when they suggest this, they’re in shorts the same length as me. The hypocrisy amongst many of them is surreal. And I’m willing to bet if I suggested a girl not to wear pants, I’d be called sexist and what not. Girls have it lucky when it comes to fashion.

In case you don’t know the origin of this quote, it was created by a woman who believed in lesbian separatism - in other words, she believed that women should only date other women, and men should be reduced down to only 10% of the population. There are many resources on the internet that can clarify why transgender individuals transition. It’s hard to explain, just like it’d be hard for a colorblind person to explain what they’re experiencing, considering you (I’m assuming) see color fine (if not, sorry, just an analogy). I’m for this, but it should only apply to transgender issues that have at least progressed in the transition process. I don’t see how suspension would have been better. She would’ve gotten days off of school and most teachers allow students to make up work they missed when suspended. Expulsion is a bit extreme, and also wouldn’t fit the standards the school has set (past cases of groping on girls weren’t met with expulsion.) I’d say the punishment was pretty fair. She definitely didn’t do it again, and the guy never had his skirt lifted again, so it did it’s job.

So you’d be willing to give up everything men contribute to your life?

Source? I’m doubting you’re dating any men with that mindset. You’re just making shit up.

Well she socially lived as a guy for more than half her life, so ya. She understands the problems many face first-hand.

Female privilege is having the option to wear dresses, skirts, pants and a blouse, or now even suits to formal events. Meanwhile, men are still expected to all wear suits that comparably lack any variety.

This is why I’ve started to wear dresses to formal events. There’s also far more variety, as a guy who likes to stand out and not look like every other person in a black suit, dresses, heels, makeup, etc. offer so much more options.

Female privilege is being able to wear suits tailored for female bodies with little to no backlash, where as a guy wearing a dress is considered inappropriate, “unmanly”, and unprofessional by many people, not to mention barely any companies make dresses tailored for men.

Notice how they never push for 50% of garbage collectors, sewage cleaners, construction workers, and all the other dirty hands on jobs to be women? They only want the comfy, high paying jobs to be 50% female. Those men and their 97% of workplace deaths can go stick it, because all they do is unintentionally support female superiority.

I support trans people, but at the same time, I also support men expressing themselves however they want. Meaning if I saw her in public, I would probably use he/him pronouns unless told not to. I’ve met men who are pretty built and strong but enjoy wearing some makeup or “women’s” clothes from time to time, so I’d probably assume this person is just another one of them. Either way, very inappropriate reaction.

Tasers aren’t 100% reliable. And this cop was probably taught to only use as a last resort if he couldn’t restrain her.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
