Plus it was decades ago, could have gone to the police, the information had been given to congress, and they sat on it for a couple weeks waiting to spring it to delay the confirmation. Then after they suspended the confirmation and they still couldn't make anything stick they tried to get another suspension...but it was denied. Not only did Ghostbusters include the available original cast and many nostalgic things from the original they even used a lot of the same types of scenes.
