If you are a homeless woman or suffering from DV you don't ever need sleep rough. There are simply not enough data points to make a meaningful comparison. There were just 16 females which data was collected from against presumably 484 males which is 30x larger and a good dataset. The article doesn't suggest whether the women performed on average better than the men.
