So happy you are getting ready to leave!! You will be so much happier without his negative energy. You deserve better.

I usually like John Oliver but this episode was full of libfem garbage and didn't take into account the inequality we face under patriarchy. men being able to buy access to women, even if decriminalized, will not make much of a difference. And also, this episode didn't cover human trafficking enough.

I read that book a few years ago. I don't agree with the author. Avoid situationships because they are low effort. keep dating men who put effort in and are afraid of losing you. Don't make yourself available and avoid casual sex.

Yeah it's always lvm who gobble up meals that you make (and put effort and time into planning, grocery shopping and cooking) and then act like it's fair to split the next meal. Tit for tat will never be fair because you will ALWAYS do more. I hope you find another living situation asap. You don't need this guy causing extra stress on move day.

It's not worth a conversation. I'd move on.

Yeah I hear you. It's hard when you've got a pickme mother. I try to only update friends who get it.

Yeah and then guy saying "you're not supporting ME!!"

I love this idea!!! Thanks for sharing.

Congrats!! Happy for you!! The weight will fall off when you cut the dead weight and negative energy.

So, men learn about masculinity and how to treat women from other men. He may not agree with his dad but i would keep an eye for out for any red flags.

Such a good reminder. Thank you. I noticed myself saying something similar recently

So this guy thinks that showing up is "enough" effort but it is not. This is a red flag. Not bringing wine or something shows low effort and lack of consideration. Think about how much more inspired you'd be if you had seen him help his sister and contribute to the meal. You wouldn't be wondering and feeling doubtful about him as a partner. You would just feel good and keep on with your day.

Run.

Sexism and caste definitely holds humanity back. We could progress a lot faster if we had true equality and were seen as people.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/11/21 10:54 PM
44

You are much better off getting a sperm donor and raising a child alone than with an LVM. Lack of ambition is a red flag. Not just ambition for money but ambition to learn (housework, child care, how to be a good partner), and level up.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/11/21 10:55 PM

Marriage is a construct of patriarchy and we can't assume that it's a good idea for any woman, let alone a woman who has more money and assets.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/11/21 11:49 PM

I know exactly how you feel. Life was easier before I came to these conclusions. I feel like now all I can do is keep noticing my feelings, erase my internal misogyny as much as possible, distance myself from pickme friends and family and those who make excuses for the horrors women face because of systemic oppression in our society. When it comes to men, unfortunately there are not just "a few bad apples," out there and society makes life very hard for women.

Yes this is the fds mindset!!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/10/21 06:18 PM

Yeah, this has implications for women as well. Because men underuse the health care system, women often aren't believed when they go to the doctors office for pain and other issues.

I saw that book at Barnes and noble and again at the library and felt enraged . I flipped it open to a page that discussed agreeing to a minimum level of effort/ cleanliness (can't remember the exact wording) of a certain task. Um, no. If a man can't learn to do a task correctly I shouldn't have to lower my standards on cleanliness. The whole concept of the book is gaming the disrespect women face doing more work (for free) for LVM. It's like begging someone to care. And I can't imagine the emot…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/10/21 10:58 PM
55

Absolutely agree!! I like to ask myself "What do I get out of this" and " is this enhancing my life?" Something else I ask myself when I journal in the morning.. "what do I want?" It's easy to stay busy and realize you forgot to go after your hearts desires. Especially if there's a needy LVM by your side.

I don't think it's an issue if it's helping achieve goals or provide company for emotional wellness. With working from home for so long I could see living with a roommate for some company even. I would look at it more like how willing is he to accomdate the relationship? After getting into a relationship is he then seeking more privacy or his own home to make space for his lady?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/09/21 04:42 PM

"it was my fault for sticking around." Ding ding ding. My experience as well
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/09/21 02:48 PM

Money is a tool that helps get rid of your problems.. and anyone with an LVM will see their energy and money decrease while problems will increase. Invest in you, always
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/09/21 10:48 PM

My goal is to be happy and follow and achieve my dreams. if I meet a hvm who enhances my life then I'll get married. I love how the patriarchy has tried to trick us into believing that rolling the dice on a low/negative value marriage is a good idea.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/09/21 03:10 PM

I'm so happy for you!!!

Bumble is the absolute WORST.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/09/21 03:44 AM

Absolutely. A woman should always have her own money, bank account and life. And always keep your financial data private. Don't want to attract a mooch

You don't need proof, you already have it. Listen to your feelings and spend some time strengthening your inner guidance system.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/08/21 08:07 PM

Not only are the LVM ready to spread std, they don't care about women's mental health. An hvm wouldn't want a woman to be under distress to protect her health. These LVM dig their own grave.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy28/08/21 07:58 PM
22

Ah, the typical 99/1 relationship. No thank you. I hope this woman leaves him soon. Being a single mother sounds much more appealing. Babysitters she can hire will do so much more LVM

I have severe IBS but I don't make my condition another person's expense
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/08/21 09:28 PM

What helped me realize that I was with a LVM is that when I talk to a friend I don't question. I don't get off the phone with a female friend and wonder "did she insult me?" "Am I wrong?" "Maybe I didn't explain myself thoroughly?" "Was she picking a fight?" With LVM, I questioned whether or not I'm understanding, whether or not I took something personally, whether it was a joke or neg.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy21/08/21 03:01 PM
52

Exactly!!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/08/21 02:29 PM
40

Yeah it's over one red flag. The first red flag is a warning for the upcoming tornadoes of trouble and disrespect you'll be gaslighted into believing is your fault. And worst of all, by ignoring the first red flag, we lose self esteem and it's harder to trust our instincts when the deluge of red flags show up
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 05:44 PM

Yeah to be honest this label doesn't bother me. Its a compliment really given the quality of men out there.

There should be an auto reply to posts that include phrases like "I swear.." "he's kind" "he told me to shut up" that closes the thread and sends resources about domestic abuse and learning to rebuild self confidence. Nobody needs "feedback" on this disrespectful and abusive situation.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/21 03:25 PM
5

Yeah! and asking for too much all too often means never getting what you want.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/08/21 12:18 AM
19

I definitely agree with your mom's views. a true partnership is so different from a list of transactions. If you believe you're worthy of love you will believe that you're worthy of a partnership, not trying to be 'good enough' by subsidizing a man's life lol
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/08/21 11:02 PM
19

I wasted all of my 20s on low value relationships and although I regret it, once I prioritized myself I got everything I've ever wanted. Take care and get some good rest.

Having a partner who requires no delegation has made my life so much easier. I'm already a super proactive person. My partner jumps to his feet to pick up food, runs errands and cleans without me asking. The mental energy of keeping a household running and then asking for help or delegating tasks is very taxing. I refuse to do tons of volunteer work that men have benefited from for centuries
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/08/21 05:57 PM
13

You are enough, and an hvm is not searching for a resume like the LVM looking to mooch.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/21 04:30 PM
33

Hvm won't be intimidated
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/21 04:29 PM

Spread joy and light and you will meet people on your wavelength. Loneliness was my biggest leveling up roadblock a few years ago. But some time while lonely is always better than loneliness with the WRONG company.

Yeah, he could help with cooking or get takeout or get something delivered. Anything!!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy06/08/21 03:25 PM

So he's got reduced bills, a free housekeeper and a cook. 😳

You're not holding out for hvm, you're living your best life. That means only with people who enhance your life.

Sticking with medium (low) value men is something I did when I had a scarcity mindset. Wish I could get those years back but you live and learn

Prioritize yourself every day. Leave bad relationships immediately. Lvm don't change or get better. Address any feelings of unworthiness. Putting yourself first is the only way. You are very important. Not the role you play in others' lives. I turned my entire life around when I became ruthless about what I wanted. and big surprise, I found a high value relationship for the first time ever. I wasted a decade of my life compromising but when j finally decided that I was worthy of a loving relatio…

I have ocd and your description of a coping mechanism is dead on.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/05/21 01:15 AM

Ugh, the worst. Hidden patriarchy/ libfem nonsense. Of course, they want us on bumble for forever like the "lifer" guys on all dating apps. Wasted 30 years of my life "communicating" and trying to help. If you focus on self love "communication" is effortless.

Yeah and they earn money easier. I work in the tech industry and guys have it way easier when negotiating salary, and they don't have to provide as much energy into justifying decisions at work. I can guarantee they have more energy after work. Life is not equal for women at all.

These songs are terrible!! LVM always get brownie points for their sob stories.

Make sure the man owns two towels. Two towels should be hung neatly. If he only owns one towel, he's unwilling to make room for someone else to come into his life. I agree with everything you said. The way a man treats his bathroom says a lot about him. I've got plenty of bathroom stories from LVM I've met but I'll spare you ladies the details.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/01/21 01:04 PM

They talk about tacos and pizza because they have nothing else to say! LVM are kind of aliens who hop off a space ship and learn a few words to get by. "Oh humans eat these foods... I'll try to convince a girl that I do too.. yay!!"
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/01/21 01:01 PM

With fds the emphasis is on treating ourselves well and not because some guy is around the corner. It's not all about looks either. Kindness and eating healthy are forms of self care too. We should do what makes us feel good, for us. If an hvm shows up, cool, but if not, I feel better about myself when I'm showered and taking care of myself.

You couldn't pay me to go near a 'dating' app. I met my LVM ex old. And the last date I had lied about his age by 12 years. Old just enables guys with shady character. Nope, no thank you.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/01/21 04:40 PM

My mom plays up this patriarchal narrative when talking about my aunt who got married later in life and never had kids. She always says with shame "she forgot to married. She forgot to have a family." Disgusting. Our worth isn't determined by marriage and kids.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/01/21 09:03 PM

Omg, asshole. that guy will never be enough for anyone. One time a guy told me "I thought you would be large because you have a lot of hair." I'm 110 pounds... These guys love to neg. Such zeros.

Yes, so many idiot parents. I grew up in a Catholic community. When I was in high school and very innocent, my mom asked me if I think I would need the shot. How would I know? Catholic moms thought that the shot was giving a "greenlight to sex." I didn't get the shot until after college. :/

True. I have a BA in English. Entrepreneur books bore me to death and often contain a transactional template. I'd rather rely on my creativity and critical thinking skills. You can still meet plenty of LVM who read fiction though. I've been fooled too many times.

Yes this is also an issue because this is what my mom told me as a child. So I had to relearn a lot, and learn that I'm allowed to be angry about a specific problem. I'm not imagining this bullshit.

A shower curtain ended my last relationship as well. I'm so glad you got out!!

Yes!! Struggle culture is a huge problem. Believing that true love has to be hard. I believe it should be effortless

Yes!!! And you don't have "earn" it. You are already worthy!!!

Yeah. I gotta love that my meds only work half the month for me because they only do testing on guys. I'm so grateful that these meds work well for men 100% of the time.. not!

Thanks for this reminder. Sometimes I still feel guilty when a guy pays for a date. It makes me feel like I'm not doing enough. But I'm telling myself I need to get comfortable receiving.

Lol!! Has anyone else noticed that LVM don't often invite us over after seeing our clean places? I've gotten comments "how is your place always clean?"

Yeah and in addition to boredom, they aren't seeking connection with another human. They are looking for an object. The reward center of their brain is messed up. It's sad. But I'm better off alone, happy, healthy, uninjured.

My LVM ex used to say that he was attracted to "strong, independent women." It didn't seem like a red flag at the time but now I do.

I agree. My life partner is not going to capitalize on a bunch of bored women and closed restaurants. I started a new hobby that might become a side gig. Scrolling through old isn't a last resort for me.

If a guy has a disgusting bathroom, run!!! My ex's toilet used to make me feel like I needed a shower after using it. Never again! I agree with you all regarding cooking and clean up too. A cluttered countertop is a big red flag. Whenever I get messy I wonder what's going on with my mental or emotional space. That awareness is necessary for me to live a functional life.

Yes that does look like dog food! I always laugh that I'm only willing to date in the future if the guy is a chef but I'm only half joking. I want to date someone who will make my life easier and more fun. I'm completely self sufficient already and good home cooked meals would be a perk.

Yes, blaming women for not being "good enough." I had this narrative playing big time in my brain last year. Trashy guys aren't going to become good for "better women."

I was in a similar situation two years ago. My ex shouted at me and threw a bitch fit about blood.

I'm always embarrassed around my family for not being married at 31. My mom has pressured me for years. But, it's an easy choice when lvm don't propose. Lol! I'm in charge of my happiness. Title of wife isnt worth it if the guy is lvm.. even though society has been telling us for as long as we can remember that our role is mother, wife, a person who is good for others, who puts herself last

I've had these thoughts before too.. but try to remember you don't really know how they are behaving. You're not in the relationship. And look at the times you may have looked happy in pics with him but may have been miserable.. same could be, and probably is true. Lvm don't become great life partners overnight!

Yeah I'm done hearing about daddy issues. Mommy issues are real too and there's way less information out there when attempting to self help and heal. When I read posts like these I always think "oh that must be a joke from 10 years ago." Modern lvm sure are regressing as we level up. Hope that guy finds a rich girl in a nice neighborhood, lol.

The only hvm I've dated asked me for help picking a restaurant since he was new to to the area. I was used to so many lvm so I suggested a bunch of cheap casual places. As I was listing off restaurants he confirmed, "are these sit down restaurants? I want to go somewhere good." Ultimately It didn't work out with him but that's what I'm looking for.

I haven't used old for a year and a half and I'm never going back. What I noticed in the past were the "lifers" out there. The same guys are on there for years and years! Anytime I would reactivate my profile, the same old faces would pop up. No thanks!

Thanks for this post. In July before my relationship ended, I had asked for help one day. Things went downhill fast. He gaslighted me when I asked for help. I tried to make it work and wasted more time but eventually the relationship ended about a month later when I stated my needs. I definitely got the vibe that he thought he was winning. Glad I don't have that negativity in my life anymore. I wasn't even aware how much self doubt that I felt until I was free of it!!
