Exactly this. Generally speaking when I see people saying that something can happen to men too, it’s in response to someone calling something a “women’s issue” when in reality men are often victims of said thing in similar rates to women, or in some cases even frame a majority male issue as a female issue. Domestic violence for example is often framed as a women’s issue when in reality almost half of the victims are men.

Don’t know, I stopped using it for exactly that reason. No matter what I was liking, the algorithm always eventually decided that I want to see misandrist crap. It was good for the occasional laugh but those usually end up on Instagram within a few weeks anyway.

I believe there was still a 1-3% pay gap unaccounted for after controlling for other factors, from what I remember off the top of my head. I think that’s the gap that remained after adjusting for the jobs men and women worked, but things like hours worked and other workplace decisions still weren’t accounted for.

Why is it cringey? Short men can still find someone, they just have less options cause unfortunately most women want a man taller than them. Yeah, the whole talk about “heightism” was just cringey. The woman didn’t make sense either with the pedo argument, and later going on to call the guy a rapist over and over again. Nonetheless I can’t really agree with the guys argument that dating preferences are discrimination. You can’t control who you’re attracted to and whether people like it or not relationships do require a physical attraction of some sort. Yeah, generally when I over explain things, it’s just ensuring the other person is on the same page as me. The "if men could get pregnant" spiel is such a fascinating lie and it really is nothing short of that. It is just so incredibly blind to the way that society presently works but it is wilful blindness. What I also find interesting is how many people actually treat this as a fact and not just a talking point. It’s something taken straight off a feminist Twitter page but people treat the statement as if some scientist published this after his trip to an alternate dimension.

Why should this be our starting point? I would argue that we don't need to worry about fraud if you come into a marriage with nothing then, you leave with nothing. Why should anyone continue to receive the benefits of a business contract which they willingly renigged on? Agreed that if you didn’t own something before a marriage then you shouldn’t own it after a divorce, but things bought during a marriage does create a grey area.
