1	Superheroes They also inspire learned helplessness. Superheroes represent a kind of other, an elite with powers beyond you. Humankind, in these stories, are little more than chattel that some protect and others exploit, but they cannot do. Only those chosen, by circumstance or otherwise, to receive powers can do. The rest of humanity are bystanders, victims, etc. I don't think it's an altogether helpful fantasy unless the story includes the becoming phase, and most superheroes don't do that.	/r/TheRedPill	01/11/18 03:41 PM
