I'm just going to chime in here. I think women should be able to pursue whoever they want. I happen to read a reddit post saying that attraction follows a pattern of falling upward, that people want someone who is superior to themselves in some way. I strongly believe in the law of attraction and believe that one has to become what one hopes to attract. That doesn't mean that it's hopeless for weaker men. One can always date in one's own league or not date at all. But improvement over chasing sh…

Id like to see this as well. Speaking as a woman who is a weak women so to speak, I think healthy friendships and hobby groups would be good for both women and men. I grew up in small AK town, and while I had a couple close friends, I was a bit of a loner. I know men on my Facebook friends list who are really into gaming, and connect with people that way. I think it would do wonders for social cohesion, if people had a sense of community with their peers.

I think that misogyny is prevalent and misogyny holds actual political power. Society expects women to deal with the mess men create for them. At the same time, bad men are rarely held accountable. They overturned roe vs wade while crime, especially violent crime, has gone up. When I talk about patriarchy, this is what I mean. This disregard for and bias against women.

I am a lesbian and a feminist. I agree with you, that patriarchy is harmful for women. I think that patriarchy is coercive, and men under patriarchy feel entitled to women's labor and bodies (sexual access). I think the narrative that women gatekeep sex and that women withhold sexual access from men, often with the undertone that women do so maliciously, is problematic. Men will never have to deal with an unwanted pregnancy. Relationships are foremost a commitment, and no women should feel coerc…

So how did we get here? You are basically saying that bluepill has made men obsolete and men get the sense they are not needed, wanted, valued and that they do not matter. I think maybe, with the way things are set up, at least in the US, they've divided us on purpose. My biggest takeaway is that i believe strife and resentments will continue to grow in society. Theres lots of blame being passed around, but no good solutions. I just gently suggest to you, that perhaps many women feel the same wa…

The theory of mind is real. Its like mentally, you sort of sense other peoples emotional states and can deduce their outlook. I've never had a gut feeling about danger, but I was working at one place, and I intuively recognized that two people I was working with were brother and sister. I found out on Facebook later that I was right about this.

Forced pregnancy and forced birth- I just have an internal visceral dislike and negative reaction when people want to argue that to compel women to go through this is somehow moral. I literally can not help this internal reaction. I'm just as angry and horrified about women who argue this is moral as well.

This may sound like I'm rambling or I'm ranting, but here goes: So I think in women's brains there is more nuance about a situation (shades of gray) while men's brains are more black and white in their thinking. Neuroplasticity is a thing as well, and it varies depending on the individual. I think, as a result, our outlook is different. Fixed or flexible in nature. I think that there are men who are highly intelligent IQ wise and driven to accomplish their goals, for example, academic goals. loo…

In America, yes. I do not see things changing for the better. But you see other countries like the scandinavian countries and Nordic countries who have basically figured it out. So an egalitarian society is possible, but not in America, where people are highly religious and conservative in outlook.

For me, it's like this. I'm 4b due to being a lesbian, I just want to be left alone and wouldn't mind being single the rest of my life. Politically, I wish women's rights werent under threat or roe vs wade overturned.

Certain characteristics and traits are innate due to genetics, so nature matters. Nurture only goes so far. It's like how some people would never break the law whether crime is legal, but others gladly would if there is no consequence. Or how one child is obedient and easygoing, while another child might have an attitude of "I want what I what" and no amount of guidance or good parenting can change their behavior. Nurture can not change what's already innate within you.

This is a good response. It's like a winner take all thing for some, and there can only be one one winner from their POV I think dating might suck today, because most people haven't figured it out yet, and it takes time for people to grow up and mature ie most people are not qualified

Thank you. I think that as far as social conservatives and the pro life movement goes, that movement is about forcing women to be breeding machines regardless of how the individual woman may feel. I'm not sure why they feel threatened by feminism.

I read an article about this. After we transitioned from a hunter gather society to a sedentary economy, things changed. The bad men multiplied, eventually instituted patriarchy, and the rest is history. I'll try to find the article and post it here. Edit: this article explains things further. https://www.dannyhaelewaters.com/evolutionary-history-has-led-us-to-todays-rapes/ It talks about how we evolved in pre modern times and touches on rape gene theory. I think genes can predispose one to want…

I think women in general think of relationships in terms of what we can contribute to the relationship or being a good partner . What heterosexual woman wouldn't want a prince charming who treats her right and is a decent man? I'm not a man, but men probably consider things differently than women.

I bought on Kindle the book called Determined, a science of life without free will by Robert sapolsky. I agree with him and I've already read a couple chapters. It's a very easy to read book. I like it so far. Edit: I disagree with the prolife movement entirely. Rape is just forced breeding. And I wouldn't want a rapist baby or that rapists inferior genetics.

if you are sharing your views in good faith and want to have a civil discussion, I don't have a problem with having this debate or discussion. There's something called benevolent sexism. Obviously, we need things like police officers (who are mostly male) and a criminal justice system etc. I think the fact is that we are living in a chaotic and crime filled or low trust society. Everyone is looking out for themselves. This is a chicken or egg situation. Society in general is messed up right now,…

I think that this is a reasonable take. I think that, unfortunately, with your last sentence, the horse is already out of the barn. There's too many people who have shown their @$$ess. There are manosphere podcasters who are absolutely misogynist and vile individuals. I think there are bitter and angry feminist women who are angry at men. 1) self-proclaimed feminists. Many of the people pushing metoo were either sexually harassed or victims of rape perpetrated by men, so while metoo=assuming all accused men are guilty isn't fair, I think that people want to see victims to be believed and guilty men punished. There are crappy people who believe women lie about sexual assault often and that this is a widespread thing, which I don't think it is. the more common scenario is rapists never being convicted or receiving a slap on the wri…

Im basing my arguments and critique of patriachy more on the fact that its supporters seek to undo the progress made since the 1st and 2nd waves of feminism. The cultural messaging of social conservatism today is that women and society were better off when gender roles and women relying on a man were the norm. Considering that most women are not likely to stay married to the same man until they die, patriarchy is selling us a fantasy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/25 07:39 AM

I think men need to realize that blaming feminists or feminism for everything doesn't work because it's not based on facts and reality. There is a loss of trust between women and men. I think a lot of women know that misogynist men and bad men get away with too much. They see the sexism. They see what's on the news. They see how bad men get away with what they are doing. I think women have collectively internalized the message that depending on a man can affect and impact their lives negatively.…

I just don't understand how anyone can honestly think that with today's modern realities that the patriarchy and conservatism can actually function as intended and as claimed. Promoting the patriarchy or gender roles in 2025 is like selling us a fantasy. Now, if you sincerely believe that's what God wants you to do, fine. It's your choice and you're right. There is no stopping you.

I think that they feel justified in feeling the way they do. women are, after all are still having to deal with the patriarchy. I don't agree with the premise of the first thread link. So I define the patriarchy problem not solely as a problem of men oppressing women because there are a lot of handmaiden women who support it, too. I define patriarchy loosely as any anti-woman policy that harms women. Such a policy, is one that at its core is about attacking women's rights. Anti abortion laws with no exceptions are an example. Overturning of roe vs wade, another. People should be free to decide what they want to do. If you want to be a tradwife or sahm, go ahead. There are no l…

An entitled woman or a woman who expects to be spoiled even on a first date, to me, is sort of a red flag. It signals a lack of maturity to me. do not date a woman or a person whose expectations are wildly out of line with yours. I think this way of thinking is a holdover from patriarchal thinking that men are to provide. These type of women do not seem egalitarian or feminist at the core. But it's different if you have an established dynamic with a person.

Emotional intelligence is a real thing. It's like the gift of awareness taken to the max. It is my silent superpower. I do not think I'm a misandrist. I think that many men have high iqs and are driven to succeed academically. I'm average iq wise, but have high eq and excellent theory of mind. Maybe birthrates will go up if and when artificial wombs become available for human use. I think that women who want kids should be encouraged and supported in that decision. I think no girl or woman should be forced to have a kid if she doesn't want one. For a woman who wants to opt for sterilization, she should be able to get it. Ive read that in the past, people used to live with grandparents who helped with raising the children and that the nuclear family is a relatively recent phenomenon. T…

These men find it hard to cope with their thoughts and feelings, most likely. I used to have a victim mentality, loathing and self-righteous thoughts in regards to sexuality. I don't remember the exact train of thought, but I eventually was able to snap out of it and let it go. People need healthy outlets and need to figuratively touch the grass. I think that some people have a strong sense that parenting is for them, while others are more ambivalent. I think that becoming a parent is only worth it if you make a lot of money. Having lots of money means you can have a hired village ('it takes a village') to help you out. If I seriously wanted motherhood and decided on it, then I'd only have one kid. I think the genie is out of the bottle. I think becoming a mother and being a good mother is a sacrifice that many women feel, just isn't worth it anymore. I used to see parenthood as something totally undesirable, but I've softened my stance a bit. OP, I think Republican Pat Buchanan wrote an entire book about this subject. Basically, societies that treat women like property and chattel are out breeding the more egalitarian and prosperous societies, such as in the West. I think at the end of the day, you have to be able to ask yourself, am I satisfied with my life? Am i I satisfied with my relationship? I think an ideal relationship is one where you are like a unit, and you are both on the same team. I don't think relationships should be hard or that you feel you have to fight for it in order for it to work. Your partner is someone who should be a positive presence in your life.

This was an interesting read. Red pill does focus on women's nature a lot. I mean I've been on feminist forums that discuss this topic as well. I just think in general, there's trash men and trash women and maybe it's just hard to find a truly decent and good person. Maybe I am just biased, but I tend to think women are just good-natured at the core.

I'm open to having a discussion on this. There's talk of women having too high standards or unrealistic expectations, but so what?? Men do too. Women aren't all a monolith or all bad. There's plenty of normal women. And if most or all women are as red pill say they are, what do you think are the societal or cultural factors making women this way?? There's perspectives I think I'd agree with red pill men on, for example, a man shouldn't be forced to pay child support for a child not biologically …

I've seen a lot of crazy takes here on this subreddit mostly from redpill people. I don't think being a normie is a bad thing. I'm choosing to be single, probably for a while, and I feel emotionally closer to other women (I'm bi). I kinda think marriage is sort of obsolete. If you have your own career and can take care of yourself, then what's the point of marriage? Marriage doesn't make people stay in a relationship or be a good partner. It's a useless formality unless you plan on living off a man who has money.

It's ends up being worse when it's a woman, though. Homeless women end up trafficked and raped. Men typically don't have to worry about these things.

I totally agree with all of this. The financial implications for the mother, if anything goes wrong, and if she ends up not being able to support herself and her baby, shes basically going to be forced to turn to government welfare to survive, and it's not easy reentering the workforce, once you've been out for so long. It's a risk I'm not willing to take, either.

I have a habit of romanticizing motherhood, but I'd never do it simply because giving birth can destroy your bodily integrity, and I think that being a working mother is difficult and expensive, with daycare being so expensive. Plus, what happens when your baby in daycare inevitably gets sick, you don't have a village, and you use all your sick days. Then what? No one is going to have your back, in that situation, not society, not your boss, etc id like to see more babies be born to women who wa…

It's not strictly one type of feminism. It's open to all feminists. it's sort of a successor site to Ovarit, so it's going to be gender critical and accepting of radical feminists. Various discussions were allowed on Ovarit, so I'm assuming it's going to be the same on vexxed.org. it's a new site, and only former Ovarit users are allowed on there for now, but once they're open to the public, they will send out invite codes to people who want one.

I don't get that kind of mentality either. Ideally, I'd want to be with a person who would put our kids first. My mindset is that my kids are a priority, and it's my obligation to take care of them and make sure they have everything they need. I saw a comment online of one person saying they'd save their spouse rather than their kid, if they were trapped in a burning building because they could have more kids together in the future.

Feminism claims men as a class oppress women as a class. I think here in the US, there are laws, which I consider anti women. The anti abortion laws, with no exceptions, is one. And if you lose the right to control your own body and the trajectory of your own life, you also lose other things. It's kind of hard to stay in the workforce when you're dealing with pregnancy or pregnancy complications. We can talk about the cultural misogyny and the misogyny we see in society. How we're pressured by s…

Your mind is a prison. It's just like the Matrix, and men and women's minds work differently. So all this confusion, angst, stress, and anxiety about the whole situation is just pointless. If you just want to vent to relieve stress and tension, I understand. I definitely think choosing the father of your kids is probably one of the most important decisions you can make. You're choosing the genes of your future child essentially. So much of one's personality, temperament, and even the chances of having healthy offspring are determined by genes. I heard the saying men want kids like a child wants a puppy. I remember wanting a puppy as a kid, knowing I'd absolutely dislike all I'd have to do to take care of one. The responsibility of it. Also, I really…

Before the feminist movement supposedly destroyed the nuclear family, how would widows or women who's husband's died or left them survive?? Women get careers because they don't want to financially rely on men who could be flakey or not dependable. Real life isn't a fairy tale, like Cinderella.

"Destroyed the nuclear family." So women gained greater rights, freedoms, independence, and power within society with the feminist movement, etc. I think this is all a good thing. Lower birthrates are just a by-product. I don't think the destruction of the nuclear family was the intention or main goal. The goal was equal rights and equality between men and women. I see your point here. People say all the time, just shoot your shot and hope it works out, but sometimes it's more complicated than that. I'll give you an example. I was on an lgbt forum, where a person asked, when a beautiful woman comes along, what do you do. Do you approach her, or do you not sweat it and just go about your day. I won't lie, I have been romanticizing companionship lately, but it wouldn't be practical for me to actually get into a real relationship with someone for different reasons. I know im an outlier, but maybe people like me are just not built for relationships. Low libido, lack of interest and energy in doing the whole dating thing. I'm a homebody who likes cats and video games, and…

I think where you are at in your life, your level of financial stability /security, and history of regular employment can often times be a reflection of your internal drive, sense of conscientiousness, level of maturity, and shows me what you prioritize in life etc. I've heard from other women how struggle love really sucks, particularly when you bring a kid into the mix. Life is hard. I don't expect someone to be a multimillionaire, but they need to be at least at my socioeconomic level. I thin…

There's also the trust factor. It's hard for me to open up with others but especially with men, letting people get to know the real me and get close to me. I think it would be different if I had close male friends. All my good friends were either all girls or women. I also lack experience interacting with the opposite sex, besides my dad and brother, whom I'm close to. We talk about literally everything, regularly over the phone. I've been thinking of putting myself out there in the community or…

I'm glad you posted this. I was thinking about masculinity vs. femininity and really pondering and thinking about this. I don't care whether a man is feminine or a woman is masculine. I think some of us are old souls who realize that not everyone has to fit into society's parameters for what is considered normal or acceptable. I've heard arguments from men who say things like, no high quality man wants a masculine woman. Masculine energy and mannerisms in women are a turn-off for men etc. And th…

I can't invalidate what you have personally experienced. But I'm sure there are plenty of down to earth nice girls out there. I think the idea of hypergamy is actually overstated. There's always going to be that type of woman who has a grab the bag, spend his money but save yours mentality. I also think everything is so artificial nowadays. Women and men are encouraged to get plastic surgery or hide their true selves in order to appeal to others when it comes to dating. I find it shallow and ina…

Well, I was always a painfully shy, introverted girl. I was always the loner, the social outcast in school. I preferred it this way, because I didn't find socializing with others to come naturally, but I had a few genuine friends. I grew up in a small town in Alaska, and while I did get compliments at times from boys, i didn't get asked out or anything like that. But I liked those boys at the school I went to growing up,, I always admired how they seemed so laid back and chill, and how they just…

This is a good discussion and good topic. I am big believer in things tend to happen as it should, so if things don't work out between two people, of if a person doesn't reciprocate how you feel towards them, maybe it's just not meant for you. Maybe there's someone better out there for you.

There's the looks threshold and then add on the type of man you're attracted to. If I had to choose between an average man with good character or a really good-looking man who had personality or character deficits and other issues, I'd definitely settle for the average man. Especially if I was looking to start a family. You can't fix or change a person's character or true nature. And the hot guy with $hitty character is going to cause you more problems down the road. Not worth the headache or ha…

Biology has a lot to do with everything and has a larger influence than nurture. There are complaints about women being too picky or having too high of standards, but it's logical that women pick the best mate possible for the purpose of procreation. It's not that women all want millionaires or billionaires, or the hottest Chad, but perhaps someone financially stable, no addictions or debt problems, high emotional intelligence and good character. That would be my criteria, if I wanted a serious …

I agree with you. But the type of mentality you're addressing and criticizing, men with that mentality care more about what they want even if it comes at the expense of another human beings wellbeing or freedom. They don't care. I've been single all my life, never dated, and I think I'm pretty normal, so all these arguments I see on purplepilldebate seem weird to me. No one owes you anything except basic consideration and / or respect. You're not owed sex or relationships. I think I found one po…

Another unpopular opinion I have is that many women lack a strong self-preservation instinct. There's many women who support conservative ideology until it bites them in the @ss, like Lauren Southern, for example. I also side eye women, who are sexist and male aligned in their outlook and who are anti feminist.

My unpopular opinion is that there's nothing wrong with being a masculine woman.i myself am a masculine woman, wlw and feminist. I don't get the whole woman should embrace their divine feminine, and what the femininity gurus are pushing. I think woman should just embrace their true, authentic selves. I honestly am proud and happy with who I am. I think a lot of what's being pushed right now is very silly. The whole tradfem/tradwives trend is something I cannot relate with. I am a celibate, singl…

It's my writing style, I meant to refer to red pillers in general, the way they try to manipulate women, by lying, and basically by being scammers, the way they want to use women, I think it's very selfish and abusive of these RP men. Sorry for the confusion..

I think coercive control, is abusive

I think that anytime you want to change other persons core self ie manipulate them to your advantage, you are being abusive and assholish. Like cmon. Let people be themselves.

I totally feel this way. I'm a tomboy bi woman who exudes masculine energy. I couldn't imagine being submissive to anyone, I couldn't put my entire livelihood in someone else's hands. Independence is a must for me. But I like the way I am, it's not a big deal for me.
