I don’t think the conversation is about women adapting to men punching walls. That’s obviously unacceptable. No one should normalize emotional volatility or aggression

Looks open the door, sure, but they don’t keep it open. The swipe is just an intro. Personality decides whether the conversation survives past “hey.” If apps were only about looks, unmatching after chatting wouldn’t be so common 😉

Spoiling without boundaries is simping. Being kind by choice is just confidence.

You weren’t chasing parties or sex, you were chasing belonging and a sense of normalcy. Feeling like you missed a piece of the “human experience” hurts, especially when you’re young and awkward. The fact that you outgrew it, found yourself, and built a life that actually fits you says a lot. You didn’t miss out, you just arrived differently.

You’re actually making a really grounded point. Missing out isn’t about body counts or labels, it’s about autonomy. Some people aren’t grieving “hoe years”, they’re grieving the chance to be young, alone, a little messy, and fully self-directed. Living your own life, paying your own bills, choosing yourself without compromise. That’s the real rite of passage. Once you’ve had that, everything else is just different flavors of connection.

That’s true online, I agree. But offline, attraction often happens before beliefs are visible. Some women respond to confident behavior first, and only later realize what it’s attached to. So misogyny isn’t attractive, but it can slip through early because it’s masked, then it usually kills the attraction once exposed.

Misogyny itself isn’t rewarded, but traits that often come packaged with it like confidence or dominance can be, at least short-term. Some women respond to the behavior before the beliefs become clear. That doesn’t mean they hate men or want something transactional, just that attraction isn’t always ideological.

But I’m curious how you see it. Do you think curiosity still plays a role in keeping people engaged once the practical info starts helping, or is it really just a byproduct that doesn’t matter much at all?

Frustration doesn’t vanish, it follows you in. The shift isn’t erasing it, it’s letting curiosity sit next to it until the edge softens.

Frustration might open the door, but curiosity is what keeps people lingering, kind of like this conversation. Hard to walk away when the dynamic gets interesting, right? 😉

Plenty of men aren’t frustrated at all, they’re just curious and trying to understand attraction and dynamics better. Curiosity alone is enough to pull people in, not dissatisfaction.

You don’t need to shame someone to opt out. If your preference can only survive by insulting others, it’s probably not a preference, it’s a defense mechanism wearing a tie.

Fair, but I still don’t think a therapist is necessary for something this small. A lot of it gets sorted through experience and self-reflection. Honestly, it sounds like you might already be seeing a therapist

A lot of this is normal social learning, trial and error, and self-awareness, not pathology.

A relatively small percentage of men tend to get most of the attention, which naturally makes men as a group less choosy and women more selective.

I get your point, being present matters. But “just relax” skips the reality that overthinking is usually a learned response to anxiety or inexperience, not a choice.

Presence and fun aren’t switches you flip, they’re skills you grow. Telling people to “stop thinking about outcomes” without acknowledging why they cling to them can feel like telling someone to relax while they’re drowning.

I get what you’re saying about choice and I agree on that part, nobody owes anyone sex or substances. Where I disagree is calling sex inherently selfish.

Confidence with a little control is a rare vintage. What kind of femdom energy draws you in most?

I actually get what you’re saying. That hierarchy feels less like propaganda and more like lived math. 😄

What you’re describing doesn’t sound like avoidance, it sounds like boundaries with a backbone. Choosing a small, intentional circle isn’t bitterness or fear, it’s curation. Most people eventually realize time and emotional energy aren’t infinite currencies
