3	How to become a 'go-to' guy? To add on to what Mekkeblekke said: Invite friends/workmates/people you know out to drinks after work on a Friday, and say they should invite friends to join too. Just send out one mail or text, and whoever wants to join can. Have an idea of what you want to do next (eg drinks somewhere else next Friday). Chat to people who are there, and once you're getting along, mention that you're probably going to try out a new bar next week and could text/mail them the detail if they would like to join. Take the reins and make the plans, and they will come. Plan enough fun stuff and everyone will remember what a good time they had with you, and invite you to everything too.
