I am a feminist and I believe in equal rights. In many of the female circles I participate there is a very high awareness of how sexism is brutal to men and how there is a need to erase the pressures men can suffer and also different social pressures in schools in etc. The water/sanitary crisis naturally affects people in situation of social and economical vulnerability. But it is naive to not consider gender violence against women as an extra layer when we consider women vulnerability in divers…

Because there are places in India for example that women don’t go drink water because if they leave their places they will be raped. And this is an alarming cause of death. Many die from dehydration. Only women in particular locations die from dehydration because they are too scared to be sexually assaulted if they go for water. So it makes sense. But naturally water is a right and everyone should work so all have access to water, but do not condemn someone that is doing something for a problem …
