Value is subjective, but there are certainly traits that are commonly preferred by a lot of people when looking for partners.

People typically practice monogamous/ serial monogamous assortative mating across various traits. It’s just not as interesting as other theories and beliefs so it’s doesn’t generate as much traction online. Hypergamy and harem fantasy is better rage bait

How assets are divided up depends upon the jurisdiction in which the marriage takes place. I think a lot of women would consider their wedding day to be both their days. The legal creation of a family. Yeah there’s certainly risks involved in marriage, like all things in life.

Your comment appealed to emotion without regards for the facts. You provide one anecdote about a wedding that was over a million dollars in expenses which isn’t representative of the average wedding at all. I thought this sub hated anecdotes You go on to complain about alimony when it’s only awarded in roughly 10% of divorce settlements. https://wjlgs.law.wisc.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/1276/2014/07/McMullen-article.pdf

You’re telling on yourself when you say women never initiate. Women approach me often when the situation warrants it. If a women finds you attractive she’ll let you know in many cases.

I see. I feel like maybe I should’ve said East Asia instead because I know white guys who live in Japan for example and women there seem to really dig them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:01 PM
1

They certainly could, they just choose not to
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 03:54 PM

How can it be betabuxxing if they find the guy attractive? in that case every guy who pays for a date or provides for his wife is a betabuxx? this term has lost its meaning if that’s the case
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 03:53 PM

You misspelt “buy”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 10:54 AM
3

You keep referring to sex tourists or men who buy a foreign bride when that’s not who I’m addressing. Your first paragraph is what i’m talking about. You can look up the data yourself, certain races have an advantage in the dating market even in the west.

I hereby diagnose you with oneitis
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 07:00 AM

I was speaking about the men who strive to be what you describe in your first paragraph. Those men certainly have an advantage in the dating market.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 06:54 AM

You seem to be taking one type of situation that does happen and painting every man who finds a partner abroad with the same brush. Seems intellectually lazy and dishonest
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 06:34 AM
2

It certainly does happen, but I don’t think you can deny that many asian women seem to have a distinct preference white men regardless of money.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 06:27 AM

I think many southeast asian women are genuinely attracted to white men. They would likely be above average height in those nations as well. How is that betabuxx?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 06:19 AM

Treat her like a celebrity and she’ll treat you like a fan
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 04:52 AM

If a women finds you attractive in many cases they’ll approach you and let it be known. Especially in cases involving alcohol where inhibitions are lower. Have experienced it many times

/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 01:48 AM

You guys are your own worst enemy. You could attract a great girl who genuinely cares about you, but you’d fuck it up thinking she’s from the “discount market”
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 01:25 AM

Ok bro if you get off on bringing down women for being confident in themselves despite not being models go for it.

To you. Subjectivity exists. It’s not black and white, learn to see the shades of grey
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 01:10 AM

Ppd men are absolutely not a representative sample of the average man. As long as you find your girl attractive who gives a fuck what others think
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/25 01:00 AM

I got a couple billionaires I can think of off the top of my head. Look up the wives Mark Zuckerberg and Jensen Huang. You can’t tell me those women aren’t average looking. They could easily dump them for a model, but they don’t. Because they’re smart and realize going strictly for looks is foolish. Cillian Murphy and Patrick Mahomes have pretty average looking wives as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 10:26 AM
1

I think you have tunnel vision for a certain type of relationship which ignores the plethora of high status men who are married to women that many would regard as average looking. I personally as a guy think the best strategy is to choose the girl who chooses you. Going for the hottest possible women you could pull via leveraging status, money, etc is fools errand in my view.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 10:13 AM
1

Ok people have whatever preferences they like. I don’t think men most men consciously analyze a women’s breast size like an autist or that it’s even a big factor. I also don’t only view the criteria for a women being attractive as being a model. If I see a women and find her attractive, then she’s attractive to me. Other men’s opinion of her means nothing to me
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 09:56 AM

This forum isn’t a representative sample of men writ large. Also, there’s plenty of taller men who prefer smaller chester women. Attractiveness is a holistic measure anyways so a guy bring taller doesn’t automatically make him higher mate value than a shorter man. You also seem to love talking about rich men so here’s a study for you. Men with highest socioeconomic

You are dense. Of course the contract itself isn’t the cause, but the act of getting married is often a marker of social class. This lends itself to certain behaviours that contribute to successful relationships and healthier upbringings for children brought up in such households.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/25 04:08 PM

I mean it doesn’t take a genius to see that there’s probably some causality at play. Childhood family dynamics impacting outcomes later in life doesn’t seem like a stretch to me

Successful marriages often times are made up of people with tertiary education, better future time orientation, etc. Smarter people make smarter choices. It’s no surprise children from these households fair better later in life. Broke people shouldn’t make babies.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 10:40 PM

He’s absolutely correct. You’re a fool if you think single mother households have no worse impact on a child than successfully married ones.

There’s nothing “wrong” with it in some cosmic sense, but the fact is children residing in two-biological-parent married families tend to enjoy better outcomes than do their counterparts raised in other family forms. source: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3091824/#:~:text=Children%20residing%20in%20two%2Dbiological,several%20domains%20of%20well%2Dbeing. /r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 10:24 PM

Doesn’t matter because there’s a market for overweight women and less so for similar weight men
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 12:07 PM

True, but at the end of the day sperm is cheap, and eggs are expensive. By way of biology women have evolved to be pickier than men. Burden of performance lies with men
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/25 11:27 AM

People “settle” for the best they can get. It’s like a market where people get a product (being their partners mate value) based on their own buying power (their mate value). It’s why relative lookmatches are common. That’s how I view it anyways. I feel like optimizing is a better term for it

There are tons of 6ft+ guys who struggle and plenty of guys below 6ft that are successful. It’s not either or, it’s a balance. It’s a holistic measure. Guys who are 5’10 with good faces aren’t going to lose out cause of 2 inches. A good chunk of the so called top 20% will be under 6ft.

Nothing to do with what I said. Vetting partners is important and you are free to have whatever standards you want. The point of discussion was bringing up abortion rights and somehow relating them to women carrying fetuses influenced by past partners DNA (telegony) which is bad science. Caring about your potential wife’s sexual past if any is smart. Using the fear of telegony as one of those reasons is stupid because it’s not a biological reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 05:44 AM
5

Of course it does. The fetus contains DNA from the man who fathered the child, not any past partner of the women bearing the child.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 05:39 AM
5

Making any correlation between women’s desire for bodily autonomy and reproductive health with the false theory of Telegony is absurd

Caring about your potential partners past sexual behaviours certainly could have evolutionary reasons like paternity certainty for males. Anyone who thinks they settled is delusional about their own relative mate value. The market determines a persons value, not what they think they deserve. Your league is who you can attract.

Rational wiki is obviously mocking the idea of the Alpha male. a man irresistible to all females without exception is hyperbolically impossible and clearly written to inspire laughter.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 05:23 PM
1

One thing I think a lot don’t grasp is that alpha doesn’t = good and beta doesn’t = bad. They are sets of traits both with pros and cons. The imbalance of one set over the others is where men can run into trouble. Like many things, those who can balance both sets of traits effectively probably have the most favourable outcomes
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/25 05:15 PM

There is certainly some truth to this view, but you have overestimated the extent to which it’s true. The majority of men are able to successfully attract a women. Only minority of men never find success at finding a mate

My point regarding my parents wasn’t to say I’m sensitive to their opinions or that it’s a dealbreaker if they don’t like my gf’s career, but if I’m going to potentially marry someone, yes their eduction/career matters to me. It’s not greed, but similar values that are important to me and my family. If a women doesn’t have a college degree we probably don’t share similar values. I think we somewhat agree. All i’m saying is performance in the SMP is your SMV. A stocks value for example is a based on performance. A basketball players value is not based on their physical metrics alone, but how it translates in game. A dude could have everything on paper, but if he’s incel he currently has low SMV. Having certain traits certainly makes it more likely to be high SMV, but those traits alone don’t determine your value, the market does.

And us guys are any different? Everyone loves others for what they do for them. If my girlfriend stopped having sex with me or starting disrespecting me i’d certainly fall out of love with her. Love is conditional and it’s better that way. No such thing as a free lunch

This whole idea that you can determine someone’s SMV through their stats is ass backwards. What matters is real life performance not what ppd decides. If a guy is 5’7 and many women want him that’s a good sign he’s high in mate value. Similarly a guy could be 6’5, educated, whatever, if people don’t want to date him he’s probably low in mate value. What matters is what happens IRL, people that make up top % of desirables may often times have similar traits, but it’s their performance on the dati…

I always viewed beta and bux is independent variables. bux is investment, provision and beta traits are things like supplication, uxoriousness, selflessness. Trump has bux and imo he doesn’t have many beta traits. I think the most successful are men good at balancing alpha/beta traits. Too alpha you might end up in prison. Too beta and you have no hand with women and will be dominated.

All backed by numbers pulled out of the sky (muh top 5%, 80/20, 95/5) whatever your flavour of the day is. Everyone seems to know these autistic slayers on reddit. The fact is autism is a huge disadvantage in the dating world. According to this survey, 44.6% of adult males with autism reported being virgins https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC5789215/. That figure may be high over the entire population, but it is undeniable that neurodivergence like autism and asperger’s are generally seen as an undesirable features in a partner. If your story is true, those guys are extreme outliers.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/11/24 06:04 AM

Despite what many pillers think, attractiveness is a holistic qualitative assessment made by individuals with many variables, not some qualitative on-paper formula. Personality is part of that assessment and compatibility matters. Why would I date someone with autism or asperger’s when I can date a neurotypical girl?

The issue I find with this kind of rhetoric is that it’s often not this black and white. Many relationships start off as you describe with fun, spontaneity, etc and both people mature into “marriage material” together. You can be both fun, sexy and also be long term material.

Obviously I don’t know what you look like so I can’t give advice, and yes i agree looks are super important, but i’d say that deep down I think you know this all or nothing thinking not to be true. No i agree. I mean based on their observable behaviours like approaching me and being overtly sexual. Look man i’m just saying I disagree. You don’t even have a basic understanding of divorce statistics or how demographics impact such rates so debating you is pointless. Alimony is only awarded on 10% of divorces, marrying someone of similar income what most people do aka assortative mating. The divorce rate is like 15% for people of my demographic so i’m not worried. Good luck with your surrogate

You want to avoid marriage and a life partner and instead opt for surrogacy because you’re afraid of child support and i’m void of any critical thinking capabilities lol. Go tell a well adjusted person your idea and see what they say.

Delusions of grandeur I see, on par for a redpiller. If you actually grew up wealthy you’d know the value of family ties and the nuclear family and its positive influence on a person social and psychological well being. You may have cash wealth someday, but you have prole, lower class values.

Ok man have at it. Eschew a literal building block of wealth and civilization i don’t care. I guess the vast majority of wealthy people are mentally ill then because they will continue to marry. Your surrogate idea is beyond retarded and your children with pay the price for your cowardice via being motherless (the most important figure in an individuals life)

/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 01:34 AM

Of course there are no guarantees in life. My point is if you want to give your children the best chance in life a nuclear family set up with 2 parents is objectively superior to whatever nonsense you come up with. Getting a surrogate and purposely becoming a single parents out of fear of alimony (10% chance) and child support (children cost money, i know, shocking!) sounds like mental illness to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 01:31 AM

I’ve seen you comment before that men compete for access to women. Well, Elon Musk has 12 children so i’d say he competed pretty well.

Divorce has to do with that individual relationship. The divorce rate means nothing you have to look at the demographics involved. The 50% stat is for people who didn’t finish high school. If you look at educated people who marry 30-34 the divorce rate is far below that. Which makes sense smarter people make smarter decisions. https://preview.redd.it/6cp1cs9kk52e1.jpeg?width=828&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e4ac80b8b360db395ddf2bcbbb9e56c0c0911256

One cherry picked example of a celebrities relationship means nothing. I bet many on this sub can think of numerous examples of successful, happy couples comprised of average, everyday people. My advice is to reject the fantasy of a “perfect partner” because no such thing exists and insist on the real which involves compromise, accepting that whatever girl you go after is flawed just like you. Don’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.

Both genders compete for mates. In this case, It’s a form of female intrasexual competition to denigrate another women’s reputation by alluding to her being a “slut” which signals she’s potentially a bad investment for potential mates to make
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 09:58 PM

The fact is personality matters but not in the way you think. “Niceness” never got anyone laid. Put two guys side by side all things being equal if one is autistic and the other is neurotypical the neurotypical one will do better in most cases. Denying that individuals personality plays a role in human mating dynamics is a denial of reality.

Yes. Smart, college educated people with UMC and UC values will continue to marry and consolidate their wealth while everyone else eschews the literal pillars of western civilization. Intelligent men know the value of monogamy and marriage so don’t worry (Kanazawa, 2008b). Low rent trp will continue to cry about the risks of marriage despite alimony only awarded in 10% of divorces (McMullen, 2015).

I honestly believe neuroticism and high inhibition is underrated in these circles when discussing lack of dating success. There are guys on welfare, not exceptionally good looking in the slightest who never have trouble finding partners.

Yes you have to pass an individual women’s looks threshold, but my point is an increase in status give a man a wider pool of potential mates and will only increase his perceived attractiveness if he passes that threshold
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 09:49 PM
5

Yeah in a world where you’re either dog shit or hot your argument is strong
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 09:28 PM
8

Nothing to do with what i said. increase in perceived status makes any man more sexually desirable than had he not attained such social capital. Whether or not he loses out to a more physically attractive man isn’t the point.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 09:20 PM

Correct. Determinism is the truth and free will is an illusion. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rv38taDUpwQ You may find this video interesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 09:07 PM
8

This is false. Take the same man and put him in the middle of the attention structure ie. high status position and women genuinely do find him more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/24 09:00 PM
11

Women’s attraction triggers are more context dependant than men’s. The attention structure is a key determinant of status. Take the same man and put him in the middle of the attention structure e.g. leader of team, seminar, party, etc. he will be perceived as more attractive generally speaking than had he been just another guy in the group. So i would guess status. Status leads to more mating success, and more mating success leads to higher status.

Yeah some academics disagree and propose the mate switching hypothesis due to the prevalence of women becoming romantically in love with their affair partner which wouldn’t make much sense if you just wanted “good genes” and nothing more. https://labs.la.utexas.edu/buss/files/2013/02/The-Mate-Switching-Hypothesis-FINAL-PUBLISHED-2017.pdf

A minority of women—notably those low in mate value who are able to escape male mate guarding and the manifold costs of an exposed infidelity—will pursue a mixed mating strategy, obtaining investment from one man and good genes from an extra-pair copulation partner (as the trade-off model predicts). Since the vast majority of women secure genes and direct benefits from the same man, however, most women will attempt to secure the best combination of all desired qualities from the same man. https:…

You were discussing how women work IRL. Making broad generalizations about a demographic suggests we’re discussing a majority of cases. The guys women have fun with and settle down with are often the same guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 05:28 AM

That pew link says 23% of children live in a “single parent” household (single dads included). The norm is still a 2 parent household where both are the biological parents. Doesn’t negate anything i said.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 02:47 AM

I obviously didn’t mean children are aware of the legal status of their parents. The fact is children born to married parent do the best in life on average. I don’t understand the mystery. Marriage is an economic relationship. You and her combine your assets, create connections with her family, and leave your wealth for your children and they continue to marry, increasing the family fortune each generation. Many careers also often have a hard ceiling for unmarried men. The nuclear family is literally a building block of civilization. The redpill often describes the behaviour of lower class women. UMC or UC women aren’t single mothers, high body coun…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 02:20 AM

Most women do not become single moms. They meet a guy within their age range + or - 2 years while in their early 20’s. They grow together and experience the last of their irresponsible years together which often turns into marriage around 27-29.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 02:09 AM

So now not only does body count make you a ho, but fucking you too quickly does too. Nice moving of the goal posts. Your second paragraph is a complete straw man of the point i was making. I never advised marrying an ugly girl no one wanted. Just like you cherry picked Jeff Bezos i could cherry pick successful, loving marriages as well. Good luck finding your very hot, virgin, forever girlfriend. You’ll need it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 02:04 AM

Ah yes you denizens of the manosphere are expert sociologists and have a keen insight into the nuance of human sexual relationships. You certainly don’t rely on hysteria, splitting defences and surface level psychology haha
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 01:26 AM

You think having a kid is less of a commitment than marriage? Once you’re a cohabitating couple in many jurisdictions you may as well be married. Marrying creates a legal family which is the environment children do best in. If you’re really a “top level guy” you should have no problem finding quality, educated women. If you’re selecting for the hottest women possible, you’ll miss out on a lot of good people.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/24 01:22 AM

Most women are not hoes. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nsfg/key_statistics/n-keystat.htm The median body count for a women is 4.3 with most falling in the 2-4 range. Besides, smart men vet women well beyond how the women looks. Education, career trajectory, etc. The Upper class is having kids inside wedlock, consolidating their wealth, while risk averse people afraid of divorce will eschew marriage and have kids outside the nuclear family weakening their social bonds and leaving them with less. You seem to delve into black and white, all or thing thinking a lot. This is a cognitive distortion. Ur either the all good object (chad) or the all bad object (beta. bob). Neither of these characters are an accurate representation of reality. Relationship dynamics are nuanced and have a lot of grey area like all things in life. “Sexy time” as you put it and relationships aren’t mutually exclusive.

Beta doesn’t mean ugly/repulsive you’re thinking omega. Betas are supposedly normal every day guys who have trouble maintaining attracting due to slipping to far into their beta comfort traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/01/24 08:58 PM

The term has always been a part of this sub. “High Beta” aka betafux was a term that meant a man who’s a provider, family man, with a good mix or alpha & beta traits and can maintain attraction. Alphabux isn’t an attractive provider. Alphabuxx would be a Tony Montana for example. https://www.reddit.com/r/PurplePillDebate/s/N7TercFmYM here’s a link to what i’m touching on.

Providing for a family financially does not immediately make a man betabuxx. The term betafucks was meant to illustrate a provider who is also attractive to his wife. I don’t believe most men are betabuxx. Women aren’t en masse marrying/dating men they aren’t sexually attracted to.

Do you consider any man who is providing for a family to be a betabuxx regardless of the relationship dynamic?

So in your view the conscious attempt to leverage social status in order to get women is betabuxxing? Do you think the character Tony Montana is beta? He clearly uses money/power to attract women. Also, how is increasing your looks in order to get women constitute betabuxxing? That would help increase your sexual attractiveness which is what the so called betabuxx lack according to the pill subs I understood the term as meaning a man who is wholly sexually unattractive to the women he encounters…

So now self improvement is betabuxxing? lol ur wrong. The term is supposed to mean a man who is ONLY attractive as a nesting partner not SEXUAL ATTRACTION. Doing things for your gf/wife doesn’t make a man betabuxx.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2009/06/090626153511.htm Rating Attractiveness: Consensus Among Men, Not Women, Study Finds. The idea that women have a fixed 20% of men they find attractive without variation between individual women is false.

The thing is when it comes to this sub is you guys often make up numbers in your head and pretend like it’s an accurate depiction of reality. The 10% figure you stated ultimately was made up. What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
