Hey man, I was also in a similar situation that you were in as well, I was in high school and it didn't work out with a girl I was seeing at the time, and I took it very personally at the time. I've also lost a few other connections that I wanted as well, and they hurt in different way. For starters, do not go into the Redpill or Manosphere, it will seem appealing as they'll be able to relay the betrayal, loneliness, and hurt that can come from rejection. If there is one thing they do have right…

I usually notice it's 2 or 3 things that drives men to either red-pill, or Incel forums. I'll give them below. Low self-esteem or poor mental image Whether through how they were raised, or some experiences that they went through. A lot of the men attracted to these tend to think that they're not good enough, that they lack as a person, that they're bad as a person. They feel lots of shame generally, I fell into this when I was 17 after I had a rejection in high school. This lead me to forming a …

It doesn't really matter as much as the internet makes it out to be, now that's not to say that it can't help or hinder you in some ways, but it's not the most important aspect to dating. I met my now girlfriend she had a college degree while I was just entering my junior year, and now she currently has a job making more than me as well. I think what matters much more is having a passion or interest in something that you love and something that makes you ambituous in a sense. I'd also say that y…

I'd agree with everything you're overall saying. I've stated this in other posts, but essentially the Red-pill tells you that you're right, but at the cost of your mental well being. We're living in a time where sadly a lot of people, including myself at one point are feeling very isolated, and frustrated with the dating scene, a lot of people especially younger people out of immaturity will say they want one thing, but then do another. At the time I was in the Red-pill I went to it, because I f…

Yes it was something I kept to myself. A good chunk of the red-pill guru’s also advise that you keep it to yourself and to not evangelize it despite themselves evangelizing it. In a very ironic twist of fate they make tons of allusions to Fight Club stating the 1st and 2nd rules quite a bit, when the message of Fight Club is how men can often fall into these groups. With that said, there was certain tells and behaviors that are used that make it a dead give away. Game playing, messaging back lat…

Hello, I’m also 5’7 as well, and I’m right now actually seeing an awesome girl for the last 1.5 months. You navigate it by putting your best foot forward, basic hygiene, setting goals, being ambitious, and also being a kind and decent person, and being the best you yourself can be. No matter what you do, there’s always going to be someone richer, hotter, more tall, smarter, all of the above, however you can always be the best that you can be, you can’t control always control that. Honestly how y…

I’d just reiterate that you love and care for him, while also having firm boundaries for yourself as to what you will or won’t tolerate taking about. When I fell down these sorts of rabbit holes, it mostly came from a place of loneliness, self-hatred, and paranoia. A lot of men unfortunately suffer from this, and the red-pill feeds this back to them to just ultimately say “hey how you feel is valid, here’s our solutions” and the solutions are horrifying. In my opinion trying to persuade him with…

He thinks that if he becomes more hateful and angry that it’ll accomplish more. I’m sorry that you were abandoned and treated like trash. I’d also say that his statement about “not caring” about you are false, why state it? If he truly didn’t care, then there wouldn’t need to be a statement, it would’ve been dropped. The coldness and arrogance are just a facade to make him feel like he’s somebody, a coat of armor for what’s rotting inside. Sadly his spite and venom will eat him from the inside o…

I'm sorry for your experience, that can be pretty jarring to see someone who you thought to be a kind, vulnerable person become into something more dark, and hateful. I can also see how that would make you like question your judgment of men, that's really unfortunate. As a man who came back from the Red-pill and I'd say that I'm a pretty sensitive guy as well, when I was younger I'd struggle to communicate, and took rejection really personally. I mostly went to the Red-pill as a distraction for …

Hey dude, I’m also 5’7, and while I wouldn’t say I’m some Casanova or player, I’ve had some experience both good and bad with dating both casually and seriously. I actually used to feel really similar to how you felt as well when I was 17-21, those same feelings are what lead me to the redpill to begin with so I could “improve” myself in this realm. I’ll first say this from my own experiences, even if you did have a random causal sex encounter/s, it won’t fix the root cause of why you’re feeling…

I wish I was told that being red-pill only makes you more insecure, and more anxious, it doesn’t offer any practical true advice about dating and relationships. The red-pill only plants half-true premises, and false stories about the dating market which you may think is helping you, but in fact is hurting you and makes you more anxious about dating women, and more insecure about measuring up to expectations that are being build about being a man in the red-pill. You act in ways that aren’t authe…

It's a bit of both for me, if there's a tendancy I notice for people who go towards the Red Pill is that they're generally low in Openness, Agreeableness (Despite a lot of them proclaiming to be "Nice"), and Extroversion, while also being really high in Neuroticism, and having low to moderate levels of Conscientiousness, I use these terms from psychology more so to paint a picture of myself when I was in the Red pill which was from 17-23, and to also see what i've noticed for others in these "Pi…

It's not, it's a VR prison system created by grifters, resentful men, and incels made to keep you afraid, sad and engaged to whatever they have to say. Is there some elements of truth in what they say? Yes, if there wasn't guys wouldn't be flocking to the red-pill. With that said just because there's some half-truths doesn't make the whole philosphy correct, I'll also reiterate this again, you're not helpless. "Living in in fear is a curse I know" that's something that you tell yourself to prote…

Gotcha, I personally don’t think that’s rational, I’d point out would that this would be the equivalent of saying that I should never drive a car ever, since the chance of getting into a wreck is too high, and you know how shitty these insurance providers are? Along with the devastating consequences of these wrecks and how bad other drivers can be, let’s guard ourselves by never driving again. Is my analogy overly-simple, and maybe doesn’t have the complexity revolved within sexuality and securi…

I’m confused what you mean by “guarding against it”? Are you referring to the fact of being cheated on or settled upon?

Sure they could be telling the truth, but then again I’m sure if you talk to enough people as well on the street we all know someone who’s been cheated on, or has been cheated on themselves. I don’t believe that this confirms an entire philosophy of thinking because of this. There’s also women who say that “all men cheat” or some variation of that because of shitty men, does this mean they’re right as well because they know men who cheat? Or can pull from comments of other of men cheating? I’d s…

A lot of stories on Reddit, especially stories that are egregious and revolve around topics like body image, sexuality, and lots of existential issues are either fake or hyper-exaggerated. This story reads like red-pill porn, and I personally believe it’s fake and doing its designed job to get likes, comments and generate controversy

In my experience leaving the red-pill, and the whole manosphere thing, my previous desire with sex came from a blend of insecurity, desire for validation, and honestly a bit of biology I don’t think it’s wrong to say this. Like most teenager’s I struggled with being social, I was very awkward and I had a really hard time communicating. Combined with seeing others be successful with socializing and dating I felt jealous to say the least, as well as frustrating because I didn’t know what I was doi…

I’m really sorry, that’s absolute hell like none other. Honestly I describe it to people who aren’t familiar worth dating someone who has undealt or unfamiliar with mental illness as pretty much a Saw Trap, it literally feels like this non-stop pressure on your mind and soul, with the only way out being pain and suffering. However I’m almost 1 year out from that relationship, and my life is so much better! I’m back in school to become a pilot, I’m doing my hobbies, and while I’m still single and…

Yes! Sadly it comes under the guise of wanting to protect the nuclear family, but in fact it’s arguments that cater to the worst elements of men’s vices and argues that these vices are laced within masculinity itself, I’ll give a few examples The 1st of the vices include Cheating, the red pill argues that its okay for a man to have a wife while having women on the side, any man who has the time to have affairs, and a wife is at best is a distant father and husband, but usually these men suck ass…

You made the right move, sadly his mind has been infected by the red-pill philosophy, sadly men who get into this have a bigger problem regarding insecurity, belonging, and sense of identity, and it’s a easy place to fall into because it validates the victim identity for men. You sound like you were an awesome girlfriend and I’m sorry you had to go through this. I would not be surprised if he reaches out again, in his mine 18 years old sounds good, until he actually talks to an 18 year old, whic…

Honestly there’s not a real way to tell, I think it would be harder to tell a man’s body count overall compared to women because in general men tend to lie about a higher body count, even the ones who are quite charismatic and successful can be guilty of adding on a few for good measure, also the idea of “higher body count” is a subjective number. For some women, 1 body before them is a higher body count, and is an issues, for others it maybe be 100, or 1,000 body just depends on the person and …

Honestly the biggest reason for me leaving, was just watching how your average red-pillar talks about women, and also kept having experiences that contradicted the red-pill guidebook. When I was consuming red-pill content I’d just keep seeing these vile, disgusting and repetitive comments for the videos. It would be 1 thing if this was just a few comments, but all of these videos had these, and I just started thinking “this is someone’s mother, sister, daughter” why the hell would you say just s…

For me it was “Alpha fucks, Beta Bucks” so much so that I put myself into some risky situations just to prove to myself that I was “Alpha”. Beforehand when I was dating, I’d use to think of I wasn’t sleeping with them before or by a certain timeframe, that I was just being used for my money and time (despite having not much money lol) and that they didn’t like me or felt that I was ugly, but just enjoyed not being lonely, so I was the target to alleviate that. I’ve learned that life is more comp…

I actually did date a person with formally diagnosed BPD, my ex-girlfriend, if you read my post history you can read about my full experience. However I’ll say that while dating someone with BPD was very unpleasant, it was nothing like how the Manosphere and the red-pill advertised it to be. BPD like other personality disorders and mental health issues can come in a bunch of different packages. My ex never cheated on me, in fact was constantly messaging me and telling me how much she loved me. I…

I’d honestly put it to a mix of things, this would just be my observation being a guy who was formerly really into the red-pill, manosphere stuff. After getting out and doing lots of reflection on what I did, and what I’m observing going on currently. The Algorithms, by design these things are meant to put out content that gets the most clicks, and engagement whether positive or negative. In fact I’d say negativity will get more engagement so these algorithms will literally farm off the engageme…

I’d personally believe that sure the Manosphere itself is dying, I’d agree on that, however I think the redpill as a whole, and it’s philosophy, and ideologies have creeped and dropped into culture as a whole, way more young men, and women know about these philosophies to an extent, and some adopt them more than others, formerly including me. While I’m now walking away from it, I’m seeing plenty of others who are lonely, jaded or both getting into it.
