I've found the game of looking in someone's eyes until you know what color they are to be helpful.

Hobbies. Go places to meet others with similar interests. If you don't know of it, check out meetup.com. it's a tool used to coordinate many groups of various interests. It's very popular. Take community ed classes to learn more about your hobby or find a new one. Take dancing lessons. There are always more girls than guys at those. I've found swing dancing to be the most versatile.

The HB8 knows what's happening. I'd suggest something like "Whew, I thought they'd never leave." Then, go from there.

I'm a guy. I assume you mean that the guy looses interest in you and stops asking you out. What's happening or not happening on the dates? Is he trying to kiss you after the first or second date? Are you trying to kiss him? Is he trying to touch you on the dates, either a brief touch to emphasize something he's saying or a longer touch like holding your hand? Are you trying to touch him? How much eye contact? What are you two doing on the dates? Something still like a meal or movie? Or active, l…

One thing to keep in mind is to start at the beginning. You've been reading a lot, so now is the time to put it into practice. Meaning, start talking to girls. Keep talking until you want to eject. Don't worry about closing. This is about opening while being engaging and interesting. Open and escalate with several groups. Then, when you get home (AND NOT BEFORE), you can reflect on what went well and what didn't. You can identify things you want to change next time. IOW, baby steps.

I think it's a generational thing. I was on Sosuave "back in the day," and seddit has become what sosuave used to be. BoP and DJB are both great resources, but the community is here. Their forum has become too "red pill" for my tastes (and I still lurk there, out of habit).

Right. And, sometimes, getting worked up is what a person needs to get motivated to change things or to let something go. Do it by yourself, though. Nobody is really comfortable watching someone else get worked up.

Keep your cool in front of girls. Always. Express anger and frustration to male friends without getting too worked up about it. If you need to, scream into a pillow or pound on a couch cushion by yourself. Try to adopt a mindset of "For whatever reason, her opinion makes sense to her. My opinion makes sense to me, and I'm going to keep it."

I recommend the book The Introvert Advantage by Marti Olsen Laney. There are many reasons why women go for introverts, and this book is full of the benefits introverts bring to relationships. It will also help you accept yourself, talk about yourself, and "sell your benefits" in situations like you describe. I've found it helpful to limit first dates to 30 minutes for coffee or drinks. I can pick up some information for other dates and it's quick enough that I can keep myself engaged. For second…

Is this a problem? Many people come here because of difficulty with girls, which can lead to any or all of those emotions. I'm willing to bet you first came here with some of those emotions, too, /u/Wolffoxdeer. Rather than being critical of new guys, how about sharing what you've learned with them? Who knows, some new guy might have some helpful ideas on situations you're struggling with? And to answer my own question, no, this isn't a problem.

Another red flag: by myself You have to do the hard work of making the changes, yes, but you don't have to be alone. Try several different therapists for a couple of sessions each before deciding to stick with one. It can be tricky finding a good fit. You can "test drive" 'em. A "life coach" might be worth looking into. I don't put much stock in them, but one might work for you. Maybe a female therapist or coach would be helpful. There's also plenty of advice online and in books.

Bowling. Get caught looking and grinning at her as she bends over to roll the ball. High five her when either of you picks up a spare a couple of times, then uparade to hugs. After the fifth frame, tell tell her that from now on strikes get rewarded with kisses.

Red flag: I guess I just want someone nurturing. You want a therapist, not an LTR. Girls want to nurture children, not adults. I think you're headed for a world of hurt.

Oh, yeah. Been there, done that. Wanting to do something to get their attention is a good thing. Actually doing stupid shit is the only bad part. Look around here for ways to approach girls. Also called opening sets. You're at the age where starting conversations with girls is the important thing, along with escalation (kino, touching).

I think you need to seize initiative. Set up a time to talk to her tomorrow, day 4, in person. Don't wait for day 5. For the talk, I think there should be a particular structure. Each person takes a few minutes to say one or two things about the realtionship, then (and this is the important part) the other person summarizes what the first said. Then the second person says one or two things about the relationship, and the first summarizes. Have her share first. If she asks, this is from The Coupl…

I think you bring up a number of good points. I think a really good one is if we lose ourselves in the relationship something really wrong. If we go from wanting a particular woman to needing her that's a warning sign we've gotten in too deep.

Whoa there, buckaroo. Don't go promising me your first born or anything. It's good that you're looking for help. It's great that you're thinking about what you're reading. But self improvement and personal growth happen when you find things that you integrate into your life that make it easier to deal with reality. There are so many ideas online, in books, from friends, that you can't use them all at once. Try a couple to see how they work for you. If the work, integrate them. Then try a couple …

Man, you're being really hard on yourself. You're relationship has two people in it. You didn't "mess up" and you weren't "wrong." The two of you "messed up" and were "wrong." To me, she sounds immature and not supportive of the ways you wanted to change. There is a common romantic fantasy that a woman needs to find a guy that is her "everything." Someone she can talk to about anything and everything and he'll always "get her" completely. The problem is, there is no way for one human to be that …

I'm sure she's beautiful, she's been a lot of laughs, you two have had a bunch of good time together, and the sex is great. And, for the record, I don't disagree with anything /u/Rashka69s has had to say. As far as emotional distance is concerned, each person decides for themselves how much they want to share. You're not going to like this, so I hope you're sitting down and not driving a car. she said I need time to think and she's giving me a 5 day break. WTF? Where does she get the idea that she dictates what you need?! She seems the think she's your mother, she gets to tell you what to think, and she has the authority to give you a "time out." And then make it sound like it's your fault?! That is not the way an adult acts. Sorry, dude, this girl is poison. The adult way for her to handle it would b…

I'm willing to bet that this other guy didn't talk with you much, if at all, before asking you out. The big difference with Mr. Traditional (for lack of a better way to distinguish them), is that you've already got 6 months of connection and rapport, and you know he's interested. You could put it in terms of "I really enjoy talking to you, and I'd like to do more of it in a place that makes talking easier." he's not that into me Now don't go doubting yourself. OOOOooooh, now I get it. You're right, you're interactions are not happening in the right context. If he's the traditional guy you think he is (and he probably is, you women are good picking up things like that) and he is interested (ditto), you would be skipping a number of steps attempting to bring up sex at this point. To bridge the gap, get out of the sports complex and into a coffee shop or bar. Suggest going someplace after a practice and see what his reaction is. The idea is find a place …

OK. This is tricky. Definitely advanced techniques. For now, think about what those guys did to capture her attention. In a way, you have to top that. If you were already talking to her, you do have something of an advantage. For the next time, watch her immediate reaction to being interrupted. Does she look at you with an expression that can be interpreted as "wtf is up with this jerk?" If she does, you're in a good position. What? You want a trophy? A gold star? No. The number of years, approaches, and closes doesn't matter. All that matters is that you're doing them. Confidence is the key. And you have more than most guys. Just keep the confidence flowing.
/r/seduction05/01/16 05:16 AM

Right. That's why porn exists. Older men want to see attractive young women. They don't want to interact with them. And none of this is relevant to your dilemma. There's also solid science that shows women are more attracted to confidence than to looks.
/r/seduction05/01/16 05:14 AM

That's right. A 60 year old man has had time to refine himself. Probably to the point where he doesn't want to be with a 22 year old girl. (I want nothing to do with them. They are close to being passive-aggressive drama queens. They are not clear about what they want, and then get angry when guys don't read their minds.) I do see older guys with younger women (though a 40 year difference is bigger than I've seen, usually its about 10 years). And I disagree that we even need to think about this.…

I've seen hot women with fat, bald guys that have enough confidence to fight a hungry tiger. I've seen hot women drool over the sight of male models only to walk away the minute he opens his mouth to whine about some perceived imperfection in his body. An attractive face or body only matters to women until you open your mouth. After that, confidence is all that matters.

Um, at this point, you realize this is all in your head, right? You haven't given him the chance to participate yet, so you're just imagining this. Your response seems to be rationalizing your inaction. Are you afraid of rejection? I mean, meeting at a club is not a date context? That doesn't make sense to me. How can meeting at a club not be a date context? That is the stereotypical, textbook date context. Suppose you'd been sexual with him for these past 6 months. Going out to a club with him …

If he seems attracted to you, he probably is. It seems to me that the heart of the matter is this: sexual compatibility before any romance This is perfectly reasonable. And, he has no way on earth to know this unless you tell him. So, tell him. Directly, in plain language. Exactly what you told us. He can't read you mind, after all. And be ready for him to tell you that he's not ready for sex yet. Divorce is stressful and draining. His support system is probably not as extensive as yours. He may…

Your concern is an important one. I applaud your insight about father figures. Romantic partners should not meet kids until they're sure they both want an LTR. So, if she suggests meeting her child, tell her you're not sure of an LTR yet.

Absolutely. If you're interacting with her and she's responding positively, that's all that matters. The question and comments have been about eye contact and what next, so my answers have been about that. A girl making eye contact and smiling (or any other IoI) is simply indicating that she's open to you approaching her to talk. Nothing more, nothing less.

You have been sh!t tested. Welcome to the club. Girls do this kind of stuff all the time. They do less of it as they get older, but they'll still do it. It seems pretty clear that movie girl said that to get her way. She could've been polite about seeing a different movie, but chose to be insulting. Party girl is less clear. He most certainly is not saying he knows what anyone else is thinking. Reread the post: I feel she's not attracted. He is quite clearly expressing his own reaction, his own opinion. He doesn't even fit your definition. He is absolutely not delusional.

There's nothing wrong about approaching girls in a library, per se, even during finals. It sounds to me like you're not making eye contact and getting a smile before you approach. Search in seddit for Indicators of Interest (IOI). That will help you figure out which girls are open to an approach and which are not.
/r/seduction19/12/15 09:15 PM

You're right that OP is too far into his head about this. But, OP isn't being delusional about it: calling someone by their surname is more formal, less personal, less intimate, than using a given name, and can appear to mean a girl isn't attracted.
