1	The trouble with TED talks There is some context here. Joe didn't go in as a normal ted speaker. He was one in ten people to be on their "ambassador" program or something. So he flight, hotel, and everything was completely paid for. The catch being he had certain hours were he had to be available for socializing with other ted attendee's.
