Last time this came up, I said the exact same thing. It became one of my highest voted comments (though that may not be saying much). But yes, put them both down. It looks cleaner and put away.

The girls 'win' this one. Wait wait wait wait a minute.... I always thought that girls wanted the guys to put the seat down, not the seat and lid. Am I mistaken? I was meaning to say I put both the seat and lid down, but now I'm wondering if this is what girls have been wanting all along. On a related note, I agree with you about flushing an open toilet. A nice science experiment is to cover the open toilet with toilet paper and flush. Notice how many spots of water show. Of course, I don't know…

Not arguing with you, in fact I agree. Traffic court is neither criminal nor civil and has no "rules of procedure". But I'm not going to be featured on /r/amibeingdetained or /r/tifu for argue my rights on the side of the road. There are other goals I would prefer to focus my time and energy on. I've met people who have been in and out of jail fighting this, others who have sued the city, police chief, officers, and more over jurisdiction—and not lost, and I've even met a guy who sues everyone i…

I got a citation ticket going 98 in a 75 in AZ just outside the CA border (on a highway in the middle of the open desert). Fairly straightforward and professional experience (from both sides).

Hard to tell from the camera angle, but I don't think the driver opted for the Brembo brake system upgrade or the Pirelli tires, or Tokico shocks. He's probably running all stock. Poor guy. He's probably sliding around town crashing into everyone. /a

Very interesting, thanks for sharing! Now I'm curious about having some of those dinner discussions to learn more about this.

Same. She ended up telling our mutual friends that I'm a prude, and what's my problem. I just wasn't interested.

I'm in the middle of doing some scientific research on YouTube involving felines, so I can't... but can someone explain for the other Redditors what STEM subjects are?

Agreed. I once went on a date with a woman who was recently divorced from her husband. Instead of splitting up the household and their young kid, they got an apartment nearby, and they alternate living in that apartment while the kids always lives at home. So one week mom lives at home and dad in the apartment, the next week dad lives at home and the mom at the apartment. But the kid always lives at home. I thought that was a pretty cool idea.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
