I was replying from an misunderstanding of OP's title. OP found the probable double standard (I can't say for certain whether Ellen has ever had female exotic dancers actually dancing on her show, but I kind of doubt it) disgusting. There is nothing disgusting about this nor her Happy Birthday tweet to Katy Perry. It would, however, be disgusting if she had a problem with female strippers or racy/funny tweets between male and female friends. I'm sure media, on a whole, would have a problem showing gender swapped versions of these situations, but that hardly falls on Ellen's shoulder's alone. And we should not demonize female sexuality simply because male sexuality is demonized.
